Chapter 146: Elysia’s Blessing
Chapter 146: Elysia’s Blessing
And a miracle, indeed, happened. Only one chalice was filled; the other one, remained empty.
The High Priest’s voice, was heard again. "People of Elysia, all of you. We have witnessed again a miracle, that became a clear sign, of the blessing, and favor, of the gods, upon this kingdom."
Cheers were heard, very loud, until deafening. The people knelt, offering prayers, and gratitude. Some among them, even shed tears, seeing the miracle, for their future, in the Elysia Kingdom.
The loud cheers, and the rumbling applause, made Viana feel more, like she was in a dream. Her eyes felt hot; an extraordinary relief, flooded her.
She remembered, very clearly, that in her previous life, both of those chalices were empty. A sign that the unblessing, a crisis throughout the country, truly happened for several years.
Tears, which she had held back, flowed heavily, down her cheeks. This was clear proof, that she had successfully changed destiny.
Elysia would prosper; the people would not starve.
King Clive, Queen Isabella, Joel, Reyes, Sina, and even Cooper, although they too were relieved, seeing the miracle, now looked at Viana, confused. They were transfixed, seeing her crying, and sobbing, amidst everyone’s joy.
"Your Royal Highness Princess?" Joel asked, his voice full of concern.
Reyes, who had seen her in this state before, approached. His hand was ready, to support Viana, who was sobbing uncontrollably.
Sina, and Cooper, too, held Viana’s arm, with worried, and confused looks. Likewise, with her parents.
Viana shook her head, between her sobs. She could not explain to them, why she was crying.
They would never understand, the burden, in her previous life, which was now almost completely lifted.
"I... I am just... so happy," Viana said, with a trembling voice, with crying, with a small laugh, amidst her tears. "Elysia... Elysia will prosper, in the future..."
Seeing Viana laugh amidst her tears, the confusion on the faces of those around her, changed into smiles, and laughter. They only understood that Viana was the person, who tried hardest, to overcome all the problems, in Elysia.
King Clive also became very emotional, seeing his only daughter cry, with joy. He then rose, and raised both his hands.
"People of Elysia! We have received answers, from the gods! Blessings for Elysia will abound, and prosperity will come to our land!"
Cheers again echoed, throughout all corners of the temple. Everyone rejoiced, praising the gods, and praising Princess Viana, who, with her hard work, successfully saved their kingdom, from disaster.

Viana, who had stopped crying, and was now smiling broadly, although her face looked very pale, descended from the seat of honor. Joel, and Reyes, walked accompanying her, their hands becoming her support, to step.
Her steps were slightly unsteady, passing through the jubilant crowd, where everyone wanted to see their hero, more closely, and thank her.
Still in the nobles’ seating area, Lazarus saw the entire scene, and the veins on his temples, visibly bulged. His anger burned him; his plan, to get her as his wife, had completely failed.
And Viana, had changed. When she passed below the stage, in front of him, Lazarus tried to catch her attention, smiling at her.
Before, she looked like a frightened rabbit, when she saw him, trying to hide behind Prince Rayne, or whoever was near her. But she never failed not, to ignore him; he knew her eyes always glanced his way.
Now, Viana paid him no mind. She only looked, towards her parents, who were waiting for her, at the temple entrance.
She no longer felt the need, to see Lazarus, as someone she feared, or someone she needed to fear. Viana now saw Lazarus, as a fly, that needed to be gotten rid of.
Viana’s attitude, made Lazarus even more furious. He felt humiliated.
With both hands clenched, he growled, and stood, leaving his seat. Roughly, he pushed through, shoving everyone, who blocked his way, to return to his carriage.
And his anger, did not stop there. All along the way, and when he arrived at his residence, all his maids, servants, even his soldiers, became targets, of his anger.
On the other side, Viana, who had just arrived at the temple entrance, was greeted with a warm hug, from both her parents. "My daughter. You have made us, very proud," whispered Queen Isabella, her eyes tearing up.
"Elysia owes you a great debt, Viana," added King Clive, patting his daughter’s back.
Viana smiled happily, and embraced them, feeling a joy, she could not explain, with words.
She had changed destiny, and secured the future of Elysia.

The royal carriage moved slowly, leaving the temple, parting the jubilant crowd, who were still celebrating. Inside the carriage, the atmosphere felt warm, and relieved, radiating from the three people within it.
Viana looked at her parents, who were casually conversing, she felt this was the right time, to convey her idea.
"Father, Mother," she began, with a little hesitation, but sure, that they would grant it. "I have an idea."
King Clive leaned forward slightly, towards Viana, and his eyebrows raised. "Oh? What idea, Viana?"
Viana took a deep breath. "Now the royal treasury is overflowing, as are the granaries, which are continuously full. I want to hold a festival. A grand celebration, for everyone, in Elysia."
A broad smile immediately adorned King Clive’s face. "A festival? For everyone? That is a wonderful idea. If the granaries are too full, it will not be good, because the food could rot."
Queen Isabella smiled gently, while holding Viana’s hand. "A very brilliant idea, Darling. The people will surely appreciate it very much. The celebration will give them hope, and happiness, which they truly need."
"We will announce it soon. What do you think? When can we hold it?" King Clive said, with excitement.
Viana thought for a moment. "How about... a week from now, Father? That will give us, and all the districts, enough time, to prepare."
"One week?" The King looked at his wife, and she, too, nodded in agreement.
"Alright, one week. We will take care of all the preparations, Viana. You have been working hard, lately. Let us handle this. You just focus, on your other important duties."
Viana smiled with relief. "Thank you, Father, Mother. I know you will handle it, very well."
The carriage continued to move, taking the three of them home to the palace. Outside the window, the people were still rejoicing, and for Viana, the atmosphere felt so pleasant, yet also made her dizzy, because she still could not turn off her ’Forest Blessing’ ability, especially at times, like this.
