Chapter 56: Cht 56: Battle With Unknown Beauty
The ocean’s depths were a realm of quiet power, where light barely touched and the pressure of the water was both soothing and suffocating. This world, full of ancient secrets and creatures born from the deep, seemed alive—almost sentient—as if the sea itself held its breath, waiting.
Gin drifted weightlessly, his brown hair swirling around his face like a halo in the dark blue sea. His neon green eyes glowed with intensity, reflecting the murky depths. His body was poised, muscles taut, ready for the battle that was about to unfold. The water around him rippled slightly, as if acknowledging his presence.
Across from him, a woman appeared from the swirling currents, her royal blue eyes locked onto him with unwavering determination. Her brown hair floated around her face, curling and twisting like threads of silk. She was no stranger to the power of the ocean—she was the ocean. Her body radiated an aura of liquid strength, and the water around her moved as though it obeyed her every thought.
Gin’s gaze hardened as he spoke, his voice a soft current in the vast silence. "This is my domain. Step aside, and we won’t have to fight." He knew he can’t fight underwater for too long nor his element affinity is high enough to overpower her. Still he pretend to be tough as much as he could.
The woman’s lips curled into a smile that seemed to ripple through the water itself. "You intrude in my territory. You will understand the true power of the ocean after I’m done with you."
Without another word, she raised her hands, and the water responded. Waves surged from her, curling around her arms like living creatures, twisting and shifting in sync with her movements. The ocean itself through few km bent to her will.
Gin’s eyes flashed, his muscles coiling with intent. He wasn’t afraid of the water. He had used the water in his past life battles. But this... this was different.
The first attack came without warning—a spiral of water shot out from the woman’s hand, aimed directly at Gin. It was like a whip, coiling with deadly intent, crackling with the fury of the deep.
Gin dodged with ease, moving like liquid himself, his body flowing through the water, and his feet pressing against the ocean floor to propel him into a graceful somersault. As he twisted through the air, he countered with a strike—his hand extended, and a jet of water shot from his palm, clashing against her attack. The two waves collided, sending ripples through the water in every direction. Still Gin’s one fell short by very far. Only reason why he could contend with her is because he fused slight soul energy in the attack. But he didn’t overdue in amount as he doesn’t want her to die from, unable to defend his soul energy.
For a moment, the two locked eyes, neither one willing to back down.
She flicked her wrist, and the ocean around them responded with a violent rush. A massive column of water rose from the depths, towering over them, and then shot downward, aimed straight at Gin. It was like a waterfall crashing to the ocean floor, but Gin was already moving, his body flowing like a current. He used the water’s own force to leap up, twisting his body in midair, narrowly avoiding the strike.
Meanwhile inside bracelet Musa could feel Gin’s power suddenly increased a little while back through their connection.’ What happened to him suddenly. Even though he had attributes of supreme rank, he could only use them as entry level super.’
As he landed, Gin focused, his eyes narrowing with determination. "You’re good," he murmured. "But you’ll need more than that."
With a surge of his own power, Gin slammed his hands into the water, sending shockwaves rippling outward. A spiral of water shot from his fingertips, swirling around him in a vortex. The water around him was no longer just water—it was an extension of his will, a fluid weapon that obeyed his command.
The woman wasn’t taken off guard. She met his attack head-on, her arms raised in a wide, sweeping motion. The water around her surged, forming a barrier, like a shield of liquid force that absorbed the energy of Gin’s strike. The water twisted and bent under her control, reshaping into a massive serpent, its body winding through the water like a living creature.
Gin’s eyes widened as the serpent lunged at him, its jaws snapping with terrifying speed. But he reacted instantly, diving beneath the serpent’s mouth and using a burst of water to propel himself further into the depths.
The creatures of the sea watched in silence—massive, glowing jellyfish, schools of luminous fish, and shadowy shapes of creatures long, big sizes. All floating in the distance as silent witnesses to the clash of elemental power.
But Gin wasn’t alone in this fight. With a fluid motion, he summoned the water to his side, calling it to form into a series of whip-like tendrils. He lashed out with one, striking the serpent in the side, causing the water to dissipate with a crackle.
The woman’s royal blue eyes glowed with a fierce light, and she stepped forward, lifting her hands in a complex series of gestures. The water around her responded like a living thing, twisting and warping. She summoned a surge of power, turning the ocean into a violent maelstrom.
Gin’s heart beat faster as the water began to churn violently, spinning around them both. He could feel the pressure building, the currents pulling at him. She was pulling everything around her into the storm.
But Gin wasn’t backing down. With a forceful kick of his feet against the ocean floor, he propelled himself upward, charging straight for her. The water storm intensified around him, but Gin cut through it like a blade, his body moving with impossible fluidity.
The woman raised both hands, and the storm exploded in a torrent of water, launching spikes of liquid force at Gin. He twisted and turned, evading the attacks with a series of fluid, acrobatic movements. Every kick, every flip was a testament to his control over the water. He was not just reacting to her attacks; he was anticipating them, feeling the water around him like a second skin.
With a final, decisive motion, Gin slammed both of his palms together, sending out a shockwave of water that split the ocean’s surface. The shockwave tore through the maelstrom, breaking it apart and dispersing the water in every direction.
The woman faltered for a moment, surprised by the sheer force of the attack. Gin saw his opportunity and seized it. With a swift motion, he closed the distance between them, his body flowing like a stream toward her. He reached out, his hand catching her wrist with a force that sent a pulse of energy through the water. She struggled, but Gin twisted, using the water to bind her limbs and pull her toward him.
In a fluid motion, he locked his legs around her waist, and with one last surge of energy, he slammed her into the ocean floor. The water around them exploded in a burst of force, a final shockwave rippling outward.
For a moment, everything was still.
Gin rose, breathing deeply, the green glow of his eyes dimming. He glanced at the woman, who lay beneath him, her movements stopped but not defeated. Her royal blue eyes met his with a silent challenge, as if acknowledging his strength.
"You fight well," she said, her voice a mere whisper in the deep.
Gin smiled, the edge of his lips twitching. "Same to you."
The ocean, now calm, seemed to exhale, and the creatures watching in the distance began to fade back into the depths, leaving the two warriors to their moment of silence.
And then, without another word, both suddenly transformed visibly at the same time without anyone’s control. Gin chanced back to his original look, from black hair and eyes to brown hair and neon green eyes. Woman became older, her eyes turning brown from royal blue with her aura decreasing from peak super to below super.
Both remained stunned in the stillness of the deep while blurting out simultaneously
"Gin!"
"Saira!"
The fight had been ended, but the ocean had its own rules. And no one knew deep down, that this was only the beginning of their true journey.
Earlier just as the woman attacked Gin inside array.
Facing someone of her level, something stirred deep inside at very depth of Gin’s soul. His aura increased without knowledge of both of them. As if burst of power up had been start of something major happening very deep inside Gin.
Feeling sudden crisis, woman dragged the fight toward the ocean, trying to increase her advantage.
In no time both have started going at each other. When two battle-junky souls meet, what else can be expected. Passion for fight can only be felt by another battle enthusiastic.
