Chapter 121: Cht 121: On to Rescue
Creature isn’t hurt in anyway but could feel sting of pain similar to ants biting together allover.
"Kekeke, my rank might have dropped but lightning should still be slight effective against soul. Nor this bastard have physical body to reduce elemental effect."
Turning around creature continued making screaming sound,
Screech! Screech!!
But still didn’t move forward after a certain point.
"Keke maybe i can kill it with enough time."
He didn’t continue with another strike for now. Creature wriggled its limbs while screaming consistently for a while.
Eventually it stopped again, unable be hurt the creature in front of it, it turned around again to leave.
But Musa was prepared since forever.
"Kekeke you’re not going anywhere."
He directed another lightning strike toward the creature with a smug smile.
Creature screamed again, stopped moving another inch forward and turned around to do threatening sounds at him.
Half an hour later, they are still at it. Constant back and forth lightning strikes of Musa and creature’s frustrating come back every time.
"Keke this is fun."
He was laughing while just launched another strike but suddenly colour drained from his face.
"No fun, no fun."
Creature turned around but didn’t give threatening scream this time. Grey energy gathered in front of it.
Musa immediately covered himself with lightning, violet particles coming out of pores took a layer around him.
Creature let loose of the spiritual ball in front of it while Musa prepared to teleport.
Swish...
Both actions happened together as grey mass of energy hit him but he had just vanished from that spot, so it just hit his remaining afterimage.
But even though he had saved himself, it was just by a hair’s breadth. Recoil from being so near that ball of spiritual energy still affected him.
"Fu*k!!!" Only silence lingered after his express of emotion as he only stared at the creature and stayed vigilant.
Creature also didn’t do anything and suspended still in air.
Finally after a moment seeing nothing happened after its strike cross the point it wasn’t crossing, it reacted and started the next round of spiritual attacks.
Taking time to gather the amount of energy, it fired spiritual beam back to back at Musa.
He was also prepared and moved around dodging every one of them by large margin this time.
Still he could see his energy consumption reaching at an incredible point.
"While chasing it wasn’t able to get to do such constant attacks as it is doing now."
’Master, how long would you need.’
He contacted Gin but.....
.....
No response.
"Had he gotten busy somewhere."
He got busy from creature’s barrage of soul beams and after a while he finally received Gin’s transmission but it was a command with no point of refusal.
’Move away from it.’
And he did as was told. Musa flashed back and flew far at back leaving the creature confused for a moment since he suddenly stopped their battle.
But it didn’t get any chance to use another soul beam as a grey energy spear came from below it in that time span and vaporised it the moment the spear came in contact with the creature.
It got wiped out of existence, only leaving a shell that fell down below with no remaining support to hold.
Looking down Musa flew back and landed in front of the green eyed man standing right below them on green moss.
"Master arrived really fast."
Gin nodded.
"Breakthrough to body forging made it possible."
He hand moved in front bending toward him as fingers closed together, turning to fist.
"I can feel more access to much higher attributes."
"Congratulations master."
"Let it be, come follow me." Gin sprinted toward west after braceletting the shell.
Musa followed him from back, also ran like him.
In few minutes they reached near the parameter of nest of soul creatures.
"So only two were aware of your presence or did you spot more of them coming after you."
They didn’t talk at all on their way.
Now they have stopped at a branch of a big tree after reaching while Gin recovered his spiritual force by absorbing energy essence through the bracelet.
"Only those two from second circle had been aware of me, first one was finished at moment of discovering and second one chased after me. Didn’t spot another one on the way."
"So those two can be that two creatures from before that time of mine."
"Yes, master. It’s possible that these two didn’t completely start their feast instinctively and stayed awake the whole time to get you."
"Hmm, reasonable point." He replied but he also worked on creating another soul spear since his soul force have recovered completely.
After infusing his spiritual mark and Musa’s he gave it to Musa "Only use it when i’m not able to use my own."
Musa nodded and kept it in space ring. "Got it."
He made another one for himself while recovering the used amount.
"So force through?"
Gin shook his head after contemplating for a moment "No, first let’s get those four and find out about other forces."
After creating another spear of his own, Gin awaited until recovering to full. "Speak, their coordinates. We have to avoid them for the moment."
"First one is last of second circle and second one don’t know, can only assume that it is the one that had captivated those four. And others coor..."
Gin nodded memories them "Let’s move."
Musa had his elemental sight activated all their way. They didn’t encounter another creature as they took detour according to those creature’s previous spot.
Arriving at the place guided by Musa, only motionless beasts came in their sight.
"This is the one?"
They moved forward but slowly and carefully while Musa looked around closely with his elemental sight.
Gin also flashed his primal vision for just an instant to view the world to its truly fullest without any deception for the mortal eye.
They didn’t meet the creature just like how they had predicted, they spotted the group of four spread apart among beasts.
