Chapter 317: Chapter 317 – Robin’s Obsession With His Ex-Wife

Robin drove Sabrina back to her office, although he wasn’t the one behind the wheel.

He insisted on accompanying her until they reached her workplace.

"I’ll pick you up later," Robin said, planting a kiss on Sabrina’s cheek.

However, Sabrina frowned and felt the need to remind him,

"Robin, I have to go home tonight."

She immediately regretted her words when she saw Robin’s face turn pale, as if she had asked for something unthinkable. Sabrina couldn’t understand his reaction.

It was becoming clear to her that this man was becoming overly obsessed with her, as if she were the very air he breathed. It was starting to scare her.

Despite spending a week together, they had only indulged in warmth and kisses, never taking their relationship to the next level.

Sabrina occasionally caught a glimpse of desire in Robin’s eyes, which she initially attributed to his injuries when he never tried to satisfy them.

However, she now realized that his hesitance stemmed from his growing attachment to her, surpassing even his own self-care.

He was careful not to upset her and would go to great lengths to make her happy.

Robin felt saddened that she wanted to be away from him, thinking that he must have offended her since they hadn’t discussed her leaving anytime soon.

"But why? Are you bored with me?" Pain laced his voice as he asked, and Sabrina felt terrible.

"No, but you are now better. I only came to take care of you," she said softly, not intending to offend him or make him feel worse than he already was.

Robin pursed his lips. If he had known that trying to recover sooner would keep them apart, he would have endured more pain or pretended to be sicker, just to have her by his side.

"But I’m still not well. My chest hurts and my arms ache. Please, I need your care," he pouted like a little kid, and Sabrina couldn’t help but laugh.

"Stop fibbing. I know you’re fine," she said in an amused tone, but Robin’s expression remained serious as he pleaded,

"No, I’m not. I was only fine because you were with me, but if you’re not, I might even end up in the hospital."

"Robin..." Sabrina was about to argue, but knowing her, Robin already anticipated her response and interrupted,

"Please, Sabrina, don’t say no. Please. Just this week, and then we can discuss arrangements for next week."

There was something about his pleading that made Sabrina smile.

It reminded her of how much she had wanted him in the past, even when he had never been there for her. Now, he clung to her like glue, and it was difficult to separate him from her.

"Why do I have a feeling that you won’t let me go back to my father’s house?" she asked seriously. Robin didn’t deny it.

He was relieved for the gunshot, as it brought them together. If not, he would have spent the week alone like the lonely lion he was.

"Because you don’t belong there anymore. You only belong in my heart, so how can I live without you? Please, my queen, don’t make me suffer sleepless nights in my current condition," he pleaded, looking surprisingly pitiful for the elegant man he was.

Sabrina found the whole situation quite amusing, and since she was also enjoying her time with him, she didn’t refuse.

"Alright, just this week."

Now that Robin knew her reason for being with him, he began to think of ways to make her stay with him permanently.

"We’ll see about that," he said with a smirk.

A few days later...

It was a Friday night, and both Sabrina and Robin had finished their work for the day.

They enjoyed a delicious dinner at Sabrina’s father’s extravagant mansion. During the meal, Robin casually mentioned that they would be spending the weekend in Paris.

However, before they could jet off, they needed to return to the villa to catch their private flight.

"Sis, I’ll catch up with you when you get back," Lizzy said, giving Sabrina a warm hug.

Sabrina couldn’t help but feel a bit tense, remembering the conversation she

had with Matilda a week ago.

She hoped that Lizzy didn’t have any bad news to share.

"I hope everything’s alright," Sabrina said, her voice filled with concern.

Lizzy smiled shyly and reassured her,

"No, it’s nothing bad. I just need to make some arrangements."

Daniel had been putting a lot of pressure on her lately, and she needed someone to talk to. With everyone else busy, she planned to visit Sabrina at the villa or the office for some much-needed advice.

"Okay, we’ll be back by Monday," Sabrina promised, giving Lizzy one last hug before embracing her father, who was beaming with joy at Sabrina’s happiness.

When Robin informed him about the upcoming trip a few days ago, he insisted that they have dinner together before their departure.

"Sabrina, enjoy your life. You deserve the best," her father said, embracing her. Sabrina returned the hug, reciprocating his smile.

Devin hugged her and whispered in her ear, "Your man looks sexually frustrated. Please don’t be cruel."

Sabrina’s face turned as red as a tomato as she replied, "Devin, you’ve become so mischievous."

Devin laughed but stood by his words. "It’s the truth, my dear sister."

Sabrina shook her head and smiled at her best friend. "Matilda, I’m going to miss you."

Matilda smiled, but there was a lack of genuine emotion in her eyes, and the chemistry between them seemed to have faded when they embraced.

Sabrina realized that she hadn’t gone through with her plan yet and felt relieved.

As they drove away from the mansion, Sabrina felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. Robin was much better now, and she doubted if he still experienced any pain.

She knew he had fully recovered, yet he hadn’t even hinted at wanting sex, which seemed odd considering Devin’s comments.

The Robin she knew could engage in it every day without getting tired, but he had never even asked for it, content with the kisses they shared.

"Robin, are you absolutely sure we don’t need to bring anything with us?" Sabrina asked cautiously as they arrived at the villa.

Robin smiled and reassured her, "I am completely certain, my queen. Everything we require is already there."

A mischievous grin played on his face as they stepped onto the private jet. Robin had built a runway at the villa, allowing their jet to be conveniently parked nearby.

As soon as Sabrina was prepared, Robin’s arm was already encircling her waist. "I guarantee you, this will be the most incredible weekend of your life."
