Chapter 521: Chapter 17 Survival
The Qi Sword unleashed by Xiao Qianxiu targeted Xiao Qiye, who wielded "Hidden Blade," and it was designed to severely injure both Xiao Qiye and the host of the Extreme Yin Sword Energy but not to kill them.
As a warrior of the Divine Communication Realm, Xiao Qianxiu was confident he could achieve this.
One strike would leave both persons gravely injured, fulfilling Xiao Qianxiu’s purpose. As for the other four, the Three Swordsmen were already close to death, so even if hit by this sword, it would just hasten their end by a moment, no significant difference.
What mattered were Xiao Qiye, the Sword Master of "Hidden Blade," and the host of that unknown Sword Qi.
But now, it seemed Xiao Qianxiu had miscalculated.
The power of the unknown Sword Qi, or perhaps the strength of its host, had exceeded Xiao Qianxiu’s estimate and had escaped.
And more importantly...
Xiao Qianxiu furrowed his brows deeply, his Divine Sense spreading far and wide, inch by inch, but he found not the slightest trace of the escapees.
Those two had disappeared as if they never existed, leaving no trace behind.
However, he did come across three other little bugs.
"Hmph!"
A colossal Qi Sword flew out again, crashing through the air and aiming to kill the three onlookers a mile away.
"Roar—"
Above the clear skies, Demonic Qi surged tumultuously, and clouds of Evil Qi formed. From the dark clouds, a fierce demonic claw emerged, seizing the Qi Sword that shattered the air.
"Boom—"
With a sound akin to the bursting of a balloon, the Qi Sword contended with the demonic claw for a moment before being directly crushed. The claw swung, the Evil Qi grew even more savage, and billowing Demonic Qi rose into the sky.
"Heavenly Demon Absolute Slaughter Order?" Xiao Qianxiu furrowed his brows again.
The appearance of the Heavenly Demon Absolute Slaughter Order, unique to the Heavenly Demon Palace, filled Xiao Qianxiu’s heart with surprise and uncertainty, quietly altering his initial intent to eliminate these three minor pests.
Though aligned with the Righteous Sects, Xiao Qianxiu never believed that he had to slay demons and fight at the forefront against the Demon Path. In fact, there were hardly any sects with that mindset.
Such thinking on Xiao Qianxiu’s part was normal.
"Scram, disappear from my sight immediately," Xiao Qianxiu’s voice reached the ears of the Demon Young Master a mile away.
Anyone protected by the Heavenly Demon Absolute Slaughter Order held no ordinary status; Xiao Qianxiu did not wish to provoke the great Demon Path Sect, the Heavenly Demon Palace, out of momentary anger.
"Thank you, senior!" the Demon Young Master said respectfully.
The three hastily withdrew the Heavenly Demon Absolute Slaughter Order, its black light fading, and quickly departed.
After the Demon Young Master and his companions had left, Xiao Qianxiu, still not giving up hope, swept the surroundings with his Divine Sense once again.
However, no matter how he searched, it was in vain. Repeatedly scouring the area several times, Xiao Qianxiu still came up empty-handed, even after inspecting dozens of miles around; he never caught sight of his targets’ traces.
Xiao Qianxiu had misjudged.
He had not anticipated that two juniors in the True Pill Realm could evade his Divine Sense search. Now, the situation was a bit embarrassing.
A Qi Sword killed three men, but they were all from Yu Jian Manor, and although Xiao Qianxiu was in the Divine Communication Realm, with a heart cultivation that had long become unfathomably profound, he now struggled to control the annoyance in his heart.
"Hmph!"
Sword Qi swept across, completely collapsing the small town under its force, burying all traces beneath.
"Continue searching. The thief is gravely injured; even if we have to dig three feet into the ground, I want those two found."
His stern order echoed in the ears of all the surviving disciples, instilling a chill in the hearts of those still immersed in the majesty of the earlier Heavenly Sword.
These disciples guarding the outskirts of the town did not know that Xiao Qianxiu had annihilated their own Three Swordsmen with a single sword strike; they merely thought the enemy was formidable, having killed the Three Swordsmen and seriously wounded the Young Master Xiao Qiye, enraging the Manor Master, hence they dared not slack off and quickly dispersed to search for the enemy.

Time slowly passed, and at midnight, about half a mile away from the town in a woodland, an individual pulled another figure slowly up beneath a large tree where the ground flowed like water.
"Ugh—"
Qing Yu collapsed onto the wilderness among the trees, vomiting two mouthfuls of fresh blood, his entire body nearly covered in blood, dried blood everywhere.
A golden Nihility Magic Mirror lay by Qing Yu’s side, emitting a faint and mysterious light. His escape from death today was all thanks to this mirror. Without it, given the grave injuries of Qing Yu and Zhang Xuanji, even someone from the Divine Origin Realm could have taken their lives—let alone Xiao Qianxiu from the Divinity Realm.
In the final moments, Qing Yu had gathered all his strength, using the Xuanyin Su Sword and the Heaven and Earth Supreme Skill. He barely survived the Qi Sword strike and took the opportunity to hide underground, using the Nihility Magic Mirror to conceal their presence.
For this, Qing Yu paid the price with a body full of injuries.
The once majestic and imposing Dark Gold Armor was now reduced to rags, with only a small piece of the mysterious mask still clinging to his forehead, the rest was gone.
This injury was the most severe Qing Yu had sustained outside of the battles that occurred within the Inheritance Space.
Fights in reality aren’t like those in the Inheritance Space; death doesn’t mean you can start over. So Qing Yu was always careful, very careful, cautious, and again cautious.
Yet he hadn’t expected that this time, he would inadvertently go from a small channel straight into the open sea—and then capsize.
"This time is a real setback, and who knows if Zhang Xuanji will survive..."
Qing Yu turned to look at Zhang Xuanji, whom he had thrown to the side. Zhang Xuanji didn’t have the highly potent Xuanyin Twelve Swords to protect him as Qing Yu did. Although he survived the frightening Sword Qi strike, his breath was as thin as a thread, appearing like he could expire at any moment.
"Let’s hope he makes it."
Qing Yu, trembling, took a small embroidered pouch from his chest and drew out a golden-yellow elixir.
The Dragon Tiger Golden Pill from Dragon Tiger Mountain, a compensation gift given to the Shadow King in the past. Three Dragon Tiger Golden Pills were given, and Qing Yu sent back two to the Shadow King, keeping one for emergencies.
He had thought that, with his cautious nature, he wouldn’t need the Dragon Tiger Golden Pill until he reached the Divinity Realm. Unexpectedly, he had just reached the True Pill Realm not long ago, and now he needed it.
Sitting cross-legged, he began circulating his cultivation. Pure Yin and Fierce Yang, two kinds of Gang Qi, intertwined within his body, and dots of Earth Essence Qi emerged from the ground, absorbed by Qing Yu to heal his internal injuries.
Simultaneously, the healing power of the Dragon Tiger Golden Pill was rapidly assimilated, bit by bit, it tended to the grave injuries that had thus far been suppressed.
A pleasant medicinal fragrance emanated from Qing Yu, and his originally pale face gradually regained color, restoring Qing Yu’s body to its peak condition bit by bit.
The Dragon Tiger Golden Pill indeed lived up to its reputation as an elixir for those in the Divinity Realm. Qing Yu had only taken it for a moment, and already his injuries were partially healed. After quietly recuperating for a day, his internal injuries would mostly recover, leaving only some external wounds that needed tending.
The medicinal fragrance slowly dispersed, and a whiff of the scent reached Zhang Xuanji laying on the ground. Suddenly it seemed as if a gunpowder keg ignited and a rich elixir fragrance began to seep out from Zhang Xuanji’s body.
