Chapter 120: 119: Yu Zhi Missing, Bloodstains Found

Shi Wei had always disliked women, especially those who pretended to be coy, as well as those who appeared frail.

Whenever they approached, regardless of whether they had any actual intentions, he would feel irritable and uneasy.

Bai Shirui’s smile remained unchanged as she lowered her posture and apologized to him once more.

"Why don’t you sit down for a while?" Yao Yu couldn’t take it any longer and quickly patted the empty seat next to her, signaling them to come over quickly.

Given an easy way out, Meng Han and Bai Shirui, not being foolish, hurried over to ease the awkward atmosphere.

The three women sat on the sofa next to Shi Wei, chatting casually, but no matter what they said, they couldn’t capture his attention.

He continued to stare at the time displayed on top of the screen, as if he were completely engrossed in his phone.

It wasn’t until a cigarette burned out, with only two minutes left until his meeting with the young girl, that he glanced uneasily towards the door.

"Chen Cai." Shi Wei pinched the bridge of his nose and lit another cigarette, frowning slightly. "Go check the elevator entrance."

"Boss, without your order, they won’t—" Chen Cai stopped mid-sentence, realizing that Shi Wei wasn’t referring to the people waiting outside.

He scratched the back of his head in annoyance, preparing to comply when a frantic female voice rang out in the lobby: "Shi Wei?"

Ruan Yuan, barefoot and covered in dust, scanned the lobby with her hand on her shoulder.

Finally locating him, she ran over, shouting his name loudly as she went.

Upon hearing her, Shi Wei’s hand trembled, causing the cigarette to flicker and burn the back of his hand.

With a cold face, he strode down the steps, eyes fixed on the woman rushing towards him: "What happened?"

His deep voice was strained, and his hand hanging by his side involuntarily clenched into a fist, as if suppressing something fiercely.

Everyone in the lobby turned their gaze towards them. Shi Yin, not far away, also noticed the commotion and put down his wine glass, walking over.

"Help Little Zhi..." Ruan Yuan held back tears that threatened to fall, her voice tinged with sobs.

The thought of Yu Zhi still with those seven or eight people in the room, with no idea of the situation, terrified her.

Shi Wei was momentarily stunned, finding it difficult to swallow as he couldn’t utter a single syllable.

As Ruan Yuan gripped his wrist, preparing to pull him back, he seemed to finally react.

With a fierce jerk, Shi Wei shook off her hand and bumped into Shi Yin’s shoulder, rushing out as if possessed.

Noticing something was wrong, Chen Cai’s expression changed. While making a call, he weaved around tables and chairs, quickly leaving the lobby.

Just as Ruan Yuan was about to follow, a hand suddenly stopped her.

"What’s going on?" A familiar, pleasant voice sounded by her ear.

As Ruan Yuan looked up at Shi Yin, the tears she’d held back finally slid down from the corners of her mask.

"Quick, go help." She choked out, tugging at the man’s hem, her eyes filled with helplessness and an indescribable regret.

This sight reminded Shi Yin of an accident from his childhood, when he looked just like that.

He pulled his drifting thoughts back, instinctively supporting the woman’s shoulder and quickening their pace together.

When Shi Wei arrived at the suite, only chaos and a few sprawled men in suits remained on the floor.

He searched the balcony, bathroom, and every corner but still didn’t see the young girl.

Exuding coldness, Shi Wei strode to one of the men in suits, pressing his foot onto the man’s chest. His tone was chillingly threatening: "Where is she?"

Under the pressure, the suited man struggled to speak, choking: "Gone, gone..."

He grabbed Shi Wei’s foot with both hands, trying to pry it off for a breath of air.

"How many of you are there?" Shi Wei asked, kicking the man’s jaw and pressing down even harder, stopping only when the man could no longer struggle.

"Ten, sixteen..." The suited man’s jaw hung askew; blood and two front teeth dropped out from his open mouth as he spoke.

Terrified of this man in front of him, he could no longer endure the pain and revealed everything: "They’re downstairs, all of them..."

Shi Wei kicked him away, turning to see Chen Cai jogging in. His voice was as cold as ice: "Seal all the exits, now, go find her for me."

His demeanor, as if he would tear the hotel apart if the girl wasn’t found, made Chen Cai shiver: "Okay, I’ll handle it right away."

Shi Wei took a deep breath, tossing his tie to the carpet, rolling up his sleeves as he swiftly exited.

Standing in the corridor, he pinched his brow in frustration, scanning between the elevator and the two emergency exits.

Ruan Yuan emerged from the elevator, her hopeful gaze fading when she saw nobody by his side.

Frowning intensely, her heartbeat seemed to skip a beat as she spoke: "Little Zhi... isn’t here?"

Shi Wei’s eyes darkened as he looked at her, the questions he was about to ask dying when he saw her injured feet.

Suppressing a deep-seated anger, his voice had turned hoarse at some point: "They said she left."

Ruan Yuan paused, lowered her gaze in thought, recalling details from past missions, and suddenly lifted her head.

She looked back and forth, pointing to the two emergency exits down the corridor: "Little Zhi might be in there."

In the past, after completing tasks, she would usually leave via the stairs or return the same way.

This time, she had leaped off the rooftop and had no rope, making it unlikely she would climb back up.

"I’ll go to the right." Shi Wei turned his gaze to Shi Yin, who had been standing silently by his side, his lips tightly pursed: "Once you find her, call me."

"Okay, you... be careful." Shi Yin’s hand faltered as he reached out, intending to pat Shi Wei’s shoulder but lacked the courage to do so.

He turned to support Ruan Yuan’s arm instead, quickening their pace to the left.

Shi Wei pushed open the emergency exit door, about to head down when Chen Cai’s shout resounded above him, echoing through the stairwell: "Boss! There’s blood on the top!"
