Chapter 317: It’s nice to meet you little brother

Once they did that and without giving the group of disguised demons time to think, a barrage of arrows of fire and rock was fired at them.

The group, because of the light, did not see it coming and were hit. The man whose defense was broken suffered serious injuries immediately and was knocked out.

"Ugh! They’re using magic! Well it doesn’t matter anymore!"

The rest seemed to also have defensive methods or protective armor, they withstood the first impacts of the magic long enough to put up defenses the two women were mages and put up defenses to blquer the rest of the jussto attack before their defensive artifacts were broken.

They both realized that there was no need to hold back, if the magic was already in use, it was only a matter of time before they were surrounded, unaware that they were under Willian’s artifact, the remaining group of demons thought they had to act fast.

It was true that they had been caught by surprise and had lost one of their group and the important artifact that would activate and initiate their plan, but still, even as experienced agents, they were confident that they could take control of the situation.

But another thing that William’s group learned was not to let the enemy breathe if they were in control, each one already had their assigned task. Just as the rain of arrows ended and the barriers had barely held.

Tharen, Ivan and Willian also covered in golden light were already moving from three different directions to the remaining group of three demons, who still presented a human form except for the fainted one on the ground whose disguise was destroyed giving him the assurance that what they were doing was the right thing to do.

Tharen, especially, was already on his way, and right above them wielding a giant warhammer made of rock and making a heavy downward swing towards the duo.

But the demons had already understood that holding back was useless. The male demon had extended his senses and understood the environment perfectly.

The instant the barrier broke, he grabbed the two female demons and pulled them away, as they were Tharen’s direct target.

The male demon put his hand still in the path of the hammer and received the full impact.

The shock was so strong that it sent Tharen backwards. After all, he was the weakest of the group and had only recently advanced to the fourth metamorphosis.

Meanwhile, Ivan and Willian were already on the move to attack them from opposite directions putting the demons in a bit of a standoff that didn’t last long.

"Let’s get rid of the brightest one first!"

They couldn’t look directly at it, but they weren’t novices. With their senses they knew William’s direction and actions perfectly well, even without needing to see him.

That glow he emitted only served as a good distractor at first; now he was only a minor annoyance.

So, both the women, who began to conjure offensive spells, and the demon in front of her, turned their attention to Willian.

The reason being that he was faster, more annoying, and they had information that he was that they recognized him was someone important among the younger generation, being second priority after Miss Silvercrest.

Besides, between someone who wielded a sword and another who only carried a shield, it was clear who posed the greater danger so the three turned their attention to Willian, but.

Although everyone in the group was skeptical about whether that would actually work - and even when they did it, it didn’t seem to change anything and just seemed silly.

But only Willian really felt a big difference worth the loss of the time it took to say it and now he also used it often when he wanted to bring out his full power.

He put all his soul, all his will to protect his friends in that single, decisive and most powerful blow.
