’Well... it’s time to act.’

I removed my diminished presence as I stepped out of the corner and made myself visible to the three of them.

Noticing my presence they who were talking about me suddenly went silent, while I pretended not to pay attention to them and looked at the portraits and decorations in the hallway, until finally, my gaze ’casually’ fell upon them.

They remained silent; all three seemed interested in my presence. It was obvious, considering how they spoke of me recently.

Certainly, I recognized one as the maid who guided me when we arrived at the mansion, while the other two I had not seen before.

However, they were among the few maidservants I have seen who are not dark elves. I really still don’t understand the situation and why such an elusive race is employed here, but that’s not the important thing for me now.
