The ranking isn’t based only on deadlift numbers but also on overall strength & power in football performance. Deadlift is a great indicator of raw strength, but other factors like explosiveness, functional strength, injury history, and in-game physicality also play a role.

For example:

Bruno Fernandes (190 kg) is above Maguire (210 kg) because Bruno applies his strength better in-game—constantly pressing, covering ground, and staying durable. Maguire is physically strong but not as explosive or mobile.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (180 kg) ranks higher than Pogba (180 kg) because his strength translates better to defensive duels, agility, and recovery runs.

David Jones (140 kg) ranks higher than Daniel James (145 kg) because, while James can deadlift a bit more, David has a better frame for growth, core strength, and football-specific power.

So, while deadlift numbers matter, explosiveness, power application in football, and overall athleticism also affect the rankings.
