Chapter 1057: Chapter 838, You Heretic Chapter 1057: Chapter 838, You Heretic Leaving Gold and Silver Island and heading to Lundham City.
The number for reputation points was over 15,000, and now it had reached 54,000, just a little shy of satisfying the conditions for a level upgrade on the panel.
The reason for such a significant increase was actually not hard to guess.
The sale of medicinal pills across various locations played a critical role.
After all, he included an instruction manual in each medicine bottle, and a part of the manual was used to promote his information.
It seemed that the influence of the pills was immense.
In Zombie World, he had several bases and had even taken over the South Korean refuge, but none of those had as obvious an effect as this.
At this rate, as long as the second batch of pills was sold, it would be enough for him to reach Level 20.
When he returned to Gold and Silver Island, he would expand the number of Chamber of Commerce partners and start selling the second batch of pills, striving to reach Level 20 as quickly as possible.
Having settled on the matter of advancing to Level 20, he opened his eyes and glanced at the train carriage.
Chaos still enveloped the outside view, so he closed his eyes again and continued to ponder the development of the two worlds.
On the Gold and Silver Island side, the focus remained on construction.
Currently, Gold and Silver Island had been developed by him into an offshore trading center with steel pens, watches, pills…, all achieving satisfactory results.
Should he consider enriching Gold and Silver Island's products with some new items?
He would think about it when he got back.
Then there's the movie industry and a large entertainment center.
For the movie industry, he had arranged for bards to rehearse, and it had been some time since then; he wondered how that was progressing.
Actually, movies didn't matter anymore; originally, arranging for movies was to increase his reputation.
Now that he could reach Level 20 regardless, it was no longer that important.
The large entertainment center was a plan he had set before leaving.
The idea was to build a large entertainment venue to earn the money from the elite who came to the island.
As for the candidate for this plan.
He felt that Slyther was quite suitable as she had previously run Money Cat and had fairly extensive experience.
On the Zombie World side.
The next step was to experiment with the usage of the “Phantom Train Ticket Machine.”
Apart from capturing even larger territory in dealing with the Second Prince's incident, another gain was this Special Item that could also summon the Phantom Train.
Now that he had this Special Item in hand, it meant he exclusively controlled the Phantom Train.
He could also give tickets to some of his subordinates to reduce the time it took to travel to certain locations.
Of course, the method of use involved consuming ghosts to produce tickets.
As for the specifics of its operation, further experimentation was required.
His mind brimmed with random thoughts.
He started to think about The Holy Court, the Yeko Kingdom, and Mini mentioning over the phone the books Lilith had sent him.
If he could learn her skill of making people's mouths and eyes disappear…
That would be pretty cool too.
He didn't know how many days had passed.
Light began to appear outside the train window.
They had arrived!
The train door slowly opened, and Wu Heng stepped down, his senses instantly returning.
The sound of waves hitting the shore reached his ears, and the air carried the salty and moist scent.
He was finally back!
Wu Heng took a deep breath, feeling that Gold and Silver Island was indeed more comfortable.
With a thought, three ghosts flew out of his body.
Hovering in mid-air, they looked around.
“Yay! We're home!” Xiao Xiao cheered.
Bella and Glenda both showed smiles, “Gold and Silver Island's environment is really better.”
“The city where the Second Prince lived has roads full of horse dung, too dirty.”
“It's okay though, we can't smell it.”
“But Wu Heng can.”
“Just fine, Uncle doesn't even fear the Corpse Core, so these things are nothing.”
The Three Ghosts were discussing in midair.
Wu Heng took out a hood that could cover his head and face, and directly put it on, saying, “Let's go, we'll have a look at the harbor first, then take a carriage back.”
“Sure, it must be lively over there.” The Three Ghosts slowly vanished and followed by his side, flying forward.
Approaching Lighthouse Street.
The surroundings started to become noisy.
People were coming and going on the street: sailors, peddlers, elegantly dressed notables with their female companions, or children chasing and playing.
Different races gathered together, and there seemed to be no discord among them.
Wu Heng stood at the intersection for a while and then walked towards a carriage waiting by the roadside, planning to take the carriage back to the Island Lord's Mansion.
Just as he was about to speak to the coachman, Xiao Xiao's small voice rang in his ear, “Uncle, it seems there's a fight over there, surrounded by a lot of people. Aren't you going to check it out?”
Following the direction, Wu Heng saw a crowd gathering towards one spot.
“Shall we go take a look?” Wu Heng said.
It must be a quarrel or a fight.
Only such incidents would attract onlookers.
If it was an arrest of a fugitive or a serious brawl, the crowd would scatter, not surge forward.
Soon, the information-gathering Three Ghosts flew back.
Xiao Xiao reported, “It's the people from the Church catching someone.”
Bella added, “There are five in total, dressed in the Church's garb, the highest level being Level 12, and the others are around Level 8.”
The people from the Church!
Wu Heng's eyebrows twitched.
He had instructed Mini not to clash with the Church until he returned to handle matters.
And now they dared to capture people on the street.
Glenda offered, “I overheard the onlookers talking, and it seems that the person caught was tracking someone from the Church and got captured red-handed.”
“Let's go, take a look.”
Wu Heng moved forward, pushing through the crowd, and then saw in the open space ahead.
Three men dressed in Church Guard Team uniforms were pinning a ragged middle-aged man to the ground; though they weren't attacking with fists or feet, they were making small, coercive actions underhand.
Causing the man to let out cries of pain.
Nearby stood two Priests, one of medium build commanding a search of the ragged man's body.
The other was tall and thin and, judging by his clothing, was a High-Level Priest, who was flipping through a notebook in his hand.
A ruthless look appeared in the ragged man's eyes as he suddenly struggled free from the Guard Team and lunged at the tall Priest.
But the Priest's level was not low.
He sidestepped slightly, evading the man's move, but the notebook in his hand fell to the side.
The Guard Team subdued the man once more, with two punches, and the man curled up like a shrimp, no longer having the strength to resist.
The Priest was about to pick up his fallen book when Wu Heng got to it first.
He flipped through it; it was filled with a jumble of words.
“Hand it over!” the Church Priest said coldly.
Wu Heng asked, “Why are you from the Church beating people?”
The Priest narrowed his eyes and sized up the other with care–an ordinary grey hood, dressed seemingly modestly. Sneering, he said, “Not only do we encounter this death-seeking fellow on the road, but now here comes you. Seems like you're in it together, huh?”
Wu Heng responded, “You're arresting people in the middle of the street, and I can't even ask?”
“Do you think you have the right to question us?” Seeing that his identity did not intimidate, the Priest became annoyed. “Quite the Pirate Island you have here. No doubt, you're an accomplice to this man. Your actions are blasphemy against the gods, and you must return with us to face trial.”
As his words fell, three members of the Church Guard Team directly approached Wu Heng.
The nearby crowd, with a whoosh, moved swiftly to both sides, keeping their distance from the scene.
Thump, thump!
As the Church Guard Team drew near, Wu Heng was quicker. With two kicks, he sent two of them flying backwards.
The stout Guards, clutching their abdomens, retched violently.
Clinking and clattering!
Then they stood back up and collectively drew their weapons from their waists.
“You heretic…”, the Priest shouted angrily, drawing out his Magic Wand.
Several streaks of light landed on the Guards, enveloping them in radiance.
