Chapter 99: Chapter 99: Savior

He saw his Young Miss raising her hand and was about to hit Gu Jin.

"Nooooo!" The head butler closed his eyes.

However the expected ’bang’ sound didn’t come and when he opened his eyes, he saw Gu Jin holding his Young Miss’s hand and whispering something in his Young Miss’s ears.

God knows what she said because the next moment Young Miss stopped shouting and her dazed expression slowly cleared up.

The head butler watched in disbelief as Gu Jin’s calm demeanor seemed to calm the girl, even if just slightly. He had never seen anyone handle their young miss with such care and tenderness.

"Miss, please," the head butler pleaded, his voice tinged with concern. "Young Miss is not in her right state of mind. It’s not safe for you to be so close to her."

However, Gu Jin didn’t pay any attention to him.

His Young Miss muttered something before closing her eyes and falling back on the bed.

"Young Miss!" The head butler hurriedly entered the room and within 2 steps reached the girl’s bed.

He worriedly patted on the girl’s cheeks and asked,

"Young Miss! Young Miss! What happened?"

Just as he was worried he heard, Gu Jin says,

"She is alright."

The head butler looked at Gu Jin with surprise who was staring at the girl with a deep gaze.

He almost wanted to scold her, but before he could say anything, he heard her say,

"Where is the owner? I want to talk with him."

The head butler was angry and just as he was rudely asking her to leave the room, he heard a mellow voice,

"I am the owner."

When the head butler turned his head he saw his young master.

Gu Jin was startled when she heard the familiar voice.

Looking at the familiar face Gu Jin almost fell from the bed.

How...how could her savior be him?

God!

All the embarrassing things that she said started to appear in her mind she almost wanted to run away.

"Miss Gu, could you tell me what is going on?"

Gu Jin was a bit dumbfounded,

"Huh?"

Long Yifan walked in with a slight dark expression on his face as he said,

"Why are you leaning on my sister like that."

"What are you saying?" Gu Jin said looking at her position, then...her entire face turned red.

God!

Gu Jin was kneeling while the girl was trapped between Gu Jin’s legs and with Gu Jin holding her hand, it looked as if she was forcing herself on the girl.

Gu Jin hurriedly let go of the girl’s hand and moved away,

"You are getting me wrong I...I was helping her."

"Helping her? What were you helping my sister by being in that position?"Long Yifan slowly walked and closed the distance between them.

It took a whole minute for Gu Jin to calm down and finally, after taking a deep breath, she suddenly stretched her hand.

Long Yifan and the head butler were surprised by Gu Jin’s action.

Gu Jin wasn’t bothered as she said,

"I don’t know how I ended up here and why you saved me but I do know that maybe you were the one who saved me. I won’t thank you since it is the most impractical thing to do. In return, I will help you."

Long Yifan was a bit stunned hearing Gu Jin’s words.

How could a 14-year-old girl talk in such a mature manner?

And...why do his and her thoughts match so much?

Indeed! Thank you was the most useless thing for them.

In Magic World, a person thanking you now may leave you when facing disaster. Hence a thank you was the most useless word.

But what did she say?

She would help him?

Not that he doubts her sincerity but at his level.

There was hardly anything, Gu Jin could him with.

Money? He bets that Gu Jin will face difficulty in even earning what he is currently in a day.

Not that he was arrogant about it but his background was too complex...

"What could Miss Gu help me with?"

Seeing that Long Yifan had moved away from the previous topic Gu Jin heaved a sight relief as she asked,

"Can you first tell me how and why did you save me?"

Long Yifan stared at Gu Jin for a few seconds and finally said,

"Curiosity kills the cat."

Gu Jin chuckled as she said,

"Nope. I am not curious I just want to confirm that the person I am calling my savior is indeed my savior."

Long Yifan secretly was a little stunned.

Such vigilance?

Just what has she suffered that she was so cautious?

On the other hand, the head butler wanted to laugh. Why the f*ck would his young master prove whether he was her savior or not?

Should she be just happy that she was saved?

How ungrateful!

His young master would definitely kick her out now!

As the butler was waiting for his young master’s order to throw Gu Jin out he heard his young master say,.

"Sure. I can prove it to you by showing you what your kidnapper’s current state is."

What the hell?

His young master was serious?

Is he going to prove that he was the savior? The head butler couldn’t believe his ears and looked at his Young Master in disbelief.

"No." Gu Jin shook her head.

"I want you to tell me how you rescued me?"

Gu Jin could still remember that when she was feeling her live force fading a warm current had enveloped her body. Her aching internal organs had somewhat stopped aching too!

Long Yifan told her half-truth,

"The person who kidnapped you happened to be my enemy I wanted to exact revenge on him and hence I attacked him. When I was checking his house I found you, then I brought you to my house once I ensured that you wouldn’t explode."

Long Yifan’s words sounded as if he didn’t help Gu Jin at all and only moved her to his villa because he had known her.

Gu Jin didn’t believe Long Yifan’s words and asked,

"Oh? But from what I have heard, should you be hating me?"

"Huh?" Long Yifan was a bit taken aback by Gu Jin’s words.

"Oh...that...After...I said those words..." Gu Jin said in a hesitant tone.

Long Yifan instantly understood Gu Jin’s words and couldn’t help but chuckle in his heart.

He held back the smile forming on his face and said,

"At first I indeed wanted to ignore you, but I had to help because of Principal Feng. He had entrusted the protection of the Magic School Academy to me.

Every student’s safety was my responsibility and hence I had to protect you."

Gu Jin felt that it made sense.

Why would a bully like Long Yifan would protect her, especially after she had displeased him?

But she couldn’t suppress the disappointment in her heart.

Maybe Gu Jin didn’t realise but the disappointment in her eyes was clearly visible to everyone.

Long Yifan suppressed the strange urge to comfort her, and asked nonchalantly,

"So now that you know that I truly didn’t help you, will you help me?"

Gu Jin looked at Long Yifan as she said with natural arrogance,

"Even though I owe Principal Feng one more favor, you too have contributed so I will help you too. At least you say that I didn’t pay off my debt."

All the heart-related matters aside, Gu Jin didn’t like to be at the receiving end and hence she wanted to repay whoever helped her.

Of course, Gu Jin wasn’t foolish enough to go out of her way to return the favor. She would however do it whenever she can.

Long Yifan chuckled even more in his heart. At first, he thought that maybe Gu Jin was truly sincere, but now he felt that maybe Gu Jin just wanted to offer herself.

He has heard too many comments like hers.

"Sir since you have helped me I would like to repay the favor...with my body."

"Mr. Long your help this time was truly...I could never forget. In return, I would like to offer myself!"

"Senior since you have helped me I will sacrifice myself and let you marry me."

Those lines appeared in Long Yifan’s mind.

Was Gu Jin going to say something similar?

So how was she going to frame it?

Marry her? Be his girlfriend? Chase him?

Long Yifan didn’t wait for long as he heard Gu Jin say,

"Mr. Long I would like to repay by my skills."

Long Yifan’s calm expression changed.

Skills? What skills?

It was not that skill, right?

Even the butler’s expression stiffened.

Was this young miss truly talking about that...

Before the head butler and Long Yifan could react or stay anything they heard Gu Jin say in a confident tone,

"I can cure your sister."
