He looked at the audience and continued,

"...you all don’t get any disease or allergy from eating those cheap quality pills! Be aware, god knows what side effect you will suffer in the future!"

Gu Jin shook her head and said,

"You really need to look for quality in everything after all we always look for things we lack. But I think you should add a brain to your list too."

Saying her words, Gu Jin started arranging materials on the shelf.

All the people were stunned by Gu Jin’s blunt response before bursting into laughter,

"He was telling the truth!"

"Oh my god! He is so savage! I love him!"

"Is he single? I want to make him my boyfriend!"

The teenage-looking boy took 2 minutes to understand what Gu Jin meant and instantly felt angry. After cursing Gu Jin he hurriedly left.

On the way he kept on muttering,

"What so special about him? He is just a cocky b*stard!"

Unaware of incidents happening outside.

Gu Jin quickly filled the shelf and replaced the ’close’ card at the door with an ’open’

Customers instantly entered the shop and started shopping.

By the afternoon of noon, Gu Jin sold half of her stock.

This shopping capacity of customers shocked Gu Jin. Originally she had thought that with all the pills she had made till now, she would be able to sustain a month without making a new batch.

But now looking at the statistic in front of her Gu Jin felt everything was unreal.

Just yesterday she was having difficulty in attracting customers and now half of the stock was sold out!

Before closing her shop Gu Jina again distributed some samples to some passersby and turned to leave.

Just as she was about to leave Song Hancheng called,

"Boss!"

Gu Jin turned around and saw Song Hancheng, she stopped at her location, so that Song Hancheng could catch up with her.

Song Hancheng soon caught up with Gu Jin.

"Boss I wanted to thank you for your pills. If not for the excellent quality of the pills we would have died tomorrow. Thank you so much."

Saying so Song Hancheng bowed his head.

Gu Jin hurriedly dodged and said in a hasty tone,

"No need! No need! I just provided some small samples I didn’t know that those pills would have become of any help to you."

Song Hancheng felt that Gu Jin was being too humble and insisted,

"Boss, your pills saved my life. I owe you a debt of gratitude that I can never fully repay. Please accept my thanks."

Gu Jin smiled warmly at Song Hancheng’s sincerity and replied,

"I’m glad to hear that the pills were able to help you. As for repayment, there’s no need. I’m just happy to know that my work has made a positive impact."

Song Hancheng was anxious when he heard Gu Jin’s words he wanted to help her and hence he started thinking about the various ways to help Gu Jin.

Finally, he thought of a method and said,

"Boss since this is a small business and you have just started of course you will have trouble gaining customers, so how about this?

I am a student at an ordinary magic school. As long as I market a pill, those pills become famous.

I could help spread the word about your shop and your amazing pills among my classmates and friends.

I’m sure they would be interested in trying them out, especially after hearing about my experience."

Gu Jin raised an eyebrow.

Though she had a good impression of Song Hancheng she was still cautious and hence she asked,

"Why are you doing so much for me?"

Song Hancheng smiled earnestly at Gu Jin’s question.

"You provided me with samples of your pills when I couldn’t afford them, and those pills saved my life.

I believe in repaying kindness with kindness, and I want to do whatever I can to help you succeed in your business."

Gu Jin’s expression softened as she listened to Song Hancheng’s sincere words.

Yet she maintained her distance expression and said,

"Then I will pay you 100 yuan for each customer you send to my shop. I will also give the customer recommended by you a 50 yuan discount"

Song Hancheng’s eyes widened in surprise at Gu Jin’s offer.

He hadn’t expected to be compensated for his efforts, as his intention was simply to repay her kindness.

"Boss, you don’t have to do that," he replied earnestly.

"I’m happy to help you out of gratitude for what you’ve done for me. Besides, I believe in your business and the quality of your pills. I want to see you succeed."

Gu Jin shook her head, a determined look in her eyes.

"I insist," she said firmly.

"I appreciate your willingness to help me, but I also want to ensure that your efforts are recognized and rewarded. Consider it a token of my gratitude for your support."

Song Hancheng hesitated for a moment, his expression conflicted.

He didn’t want to accept payment for something he genuinely wanted to do out of gratitude.

"Boss, how about this instead of giving me a commission of 100 yuan, you let me be your friend?"

Gu Jin paused, surprised by Song Hancheng’s unexpected request.

She looked at him, trying to gauge his sincerity, and saw the earnestness in his eyes.

"A friend?" she repeated a hint of curiosity in her voice.

"Yes," Song Hancheng nodded.

"I don’t want to be compensated monetarily for helping you. I genuinely want to support you because I believe in your business and in you.

If you allow me to be your friend, that would mean more to me than any amount of money."

Gu Jin hesitated.

She never had many friends in her previous life.

And to be honest she didn’t want to make any more friends in those life.

In her previous life, she wasn’t able to save any of her friends, that is because she wasn’t capable enough...

Hence in this life, she didn’t want to make any friends until she was capable of protecting them...

Gu Jin didn’t want to hurt Song Hancheng but she didn’t want to confirm him as a friend too and hence she said,

"It’s better if we become friends naturally. Friendship can’t be asked, it can only be earned over the period of time."

He(Gu Jin aka Su Jin) wanted to be friends but not a business kind of friendship...

He respected his decision and appreciated his honesty.

"I understand, Boss," he said with a smile. "I’ll do my best to earn your friendship over time."

Gu Jin returned his smile.

She was happy that Song Hancheng understood her and continued,

"Since that is the case you will have to accept the commission!"

Song Hancheng knew that he couldn’t push Gu Jin any further and agreed with reluctance.

Gu Jin talked about their partnership for some time and left.

Since the afternoon had already passed Gu Jin didn’t go back to her school and instead returned to the alley.

She entered the space and started making batch after batch of pills and rested only when she felt that the pills were sufficient.

He pushed the beauties in his arms and looked at the Second Elder with an irritated expression,

"What? Even after so long, you can’t find me a beauty? And where is the money?"

The Second Elder said with a flattering smile,

"Young Master Sang! Young Master Sang, please calm down. I have found a very beautiful girl.

She is so beautiful that if you look at her once you will be instantly mesmerized."

"Bullsh*t I have seen so many beauties, there will hardly be any beauty who would interest me now!" Young Master Sang felt that the Second Elder was making excuses.
