Gu Jin frowned and decided to enter a bit deeper.

Just as she walked for 40 meters or so, she found a Cage Flower Plant.

Gu Jin carefully took it out from the ground while making sure that it wasn’t damaged.

She has to collect 7 more.

Its body was slimy and covered in iridescent green scales, shimmering under the dappled light filtering through the forest canopy. Its wings buzzed furiously, creating a disconcerting hum that echoed through the dense foliage.

Its long, needle-like proboscis gleamed menacingly, dripping with a potent venom that dripped to the forest floor like toxic rain. Its compound eyes glinted with a malicious intelligence, its entire form exuding an aura of danger and predatory instinct.

It was called Venomous Mosquito. Poison-type beast with great defense. They can be easily defeated by a Primary Level Mage.

After screaming the mosquito suddenly turned silent and Gu Jin was thrilled by the result.

In just 2 moves she was able to kill a Venomous Mosquito.

Putting away the Venomous Mosquito in her space, Gu Jin started fighting the group of Venomous mosquitoes.

"Plant Vines."

Even though a majority of the Venomous Mosquitoes were rendered immobilized, a few smart ones dodged her attack easily.

"Plant Spikes."

The plant spikes stabbed the immobilized Venomous Mosquitoes, reducing the number of Venomous Mosquitoes.

Gu Jin tried to use the same trick on the remaining Venomous Mosquitoes, but to her surprise, they dodged the attack as if they learned how harmful the plant vines were to them.

She wanted to praise them but, remembering her predicament, Gu Jin decided to find their weak points.

Even though only 10% of her mana is consumed when she uses 5 spells, if she used her entire mana then after dealing with this group she would become vulnerable.

"Plant Power Blast."

In the next hour, Gu Jin was able to kill all the Venomous mosquitoes.

She found that the area around their neck was without defense and with ease dealt with 50 or so Venomous Mosquitoes.

After putting the bodies of Venomous Mosquitoes in her space, Gu Jin sat down to rest.

Today she learned a lot about Venomous Mosquitoes, much more than the book.

If it wasn’t for the danger, she could have just come to the forest to practice.

Gu Jin dug out the last Cage Flower, even though she was feeling a bit feverish.

Maybe because she had recently awakened another element or maybe because she fought her first battle, Gu Jin felt heat in her body.

Gu Jin stood up to leave the forest, however her heart started beating loudly.

"What is happening?" Gu Jin placed a hand on her heart and looked around.

But no one was there.

Suddenly her beating heart calmed down and she finally started walking out of the forest.

After reaching the bus stop, Gu Jin decided to cultivate, since the bus would take at least 20 more minutes to come.

Closing her eyes, Gu Jin absorbed the energy around her and channeled it into the plant element.

Gu Jin was surprised to find that her cultivation speed was much faster than before.

Maybe the forest enhances the cultivation speed for the plant element.

Just then Gu Jin felt her entire body trembling.

Gu Jin opened her eyes in surprise and muttered,

"I...I crossed the Primary level. I...I am now...now Intermediate Level?"

However before Gu Jin could even become happy, she heard a snort,

"You have not breakthrough yet. You are just halfway there."

Gu Jin opened her eyes and the joy on her face disappeared completely.

Ren Aiguo was standing there with a smirk on his face.

"What do you mean?" Gu Jin wanted to beat Ren Aiguo the moment he appeared in front of her.

But the disparity between their level stopped her.

"When a full breakthrough occurs, your element completely transforms. Look at your element and tell me has its color or shape changed?"

Gu Jin closed her eyes and saw that her plant element’s cluster was much brighter and a bit bigger in size.

"It is at least 2 times brighter and 2 times bigger than before."
