Chapter 379: Chapter 379: Green Tea B*tch Luo Meng

She felt guilty, yes, but she couldn’t forget all the times she had felt hurt by him.

Finally, Long Yifan stood up, his face filled with sorrow.

"I’ll leave now. But just know, Gu Jin... I’ll never stop apologizing for what I’ve done."

With that, he turned and started to walk out of the room.

"Wait." Gu Jin suddenly called out.

Long Yifan stopped in his tracks as soon as Gu Jin called out. His heart raced, hope flickering in his chest like a tiny flame.

He slowly turned around, his eyes meeting hers, but the coldness in her gaze made that flicker of hope vanish in an instant.

"Don’t think I will forgive you for everything you’ve done," Gu Jin said, her voice firm and icy.

"I’m not some soft-hearted girl, Mr. Long, who’ll melt after hearing a sob story."

Her words hit him like a cold wind, but he stood still, listening carefully.

"I sympathize with you," Gu Jin continued, her tone softer but still distant.

"And I apologize for misunderstanding you before. But that’s all I can offer. Forgiving you? Forget it."

She paused, her arms crossing over her chest as she stared him down.

"I’m a vengeful person," she added, her eyes narrowing.

"I might not despise you anymore, but I still hold a grudge. After suffering for three to five years because of you, do you think I’d forgive you after just a few apologies?

No. If I ever forgive you that easily, then maybe I’m planning to kill you."

Her words were sharp, like daggers, but they didn’t cut Long Yifan as she might have intended.

Instead of feeling discouraged, he smiled—a big, genuine smile that lit up his face.

"Three years, huh?" he said softly, almost to himself. His grin grew wider.

"Do you know what this means, Gu Jin? This means there’s hope."

Gu Jin frowned, confused by his reaction. "What nonsense are you talking about now?"

Long Yifan’s eyes sparkled with determination.

"It means you’re still willing to talk to me. You’re still willing to listen. Even if you hate me, even if you hold a grudge, you’re not ignoring me completely. That’s enough for me."

Gu Jin rolled her eyes, annoyed by his optimism.

"You’re delusional," she said flatly.

"Maybe," Long Yifan admitted, shrugging.

"But if being delusional helps me make things right, then I don’t mind."

Gu Jin raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.

"And how exactly do you plan to make things right?"

Long Yifan took a deep breath, his smile softening but not fading.

"By apologizing. Every single day if I have to. For the next three years, five years, ten years, or even my whole life. However long it takes for you to forgive me, I’m ready."

Gu Jin stared at him, unsure of how to respond.

His words were unexpected, and she didn’t know if he was being sincere or just stubborn. But the look in his eyes—steady and unwavering—made her hesitate.

Yet she ruthlessly decided to dash his hope,

"Then I might have to disappoint you, Mr. Long, I may start to date Luo Meng after a few weeks, so if you are apologizing because you think I will date you after forgiving you then you are mistaken."

Long Yifan would be lying if he said he wasn’t hurt when he heard those words.

It felt as if Gu Jin was thrusting a knife into his heart.

Just the mere thought of seeing Gu Jin with someone else, made him feel as if he would go crazy.

His heart was aching, his body started to tremble a little, and his eyes turned moist a bit, but he still kept a smile on his face,

"Even after you forgive me, I know I won’t have any right to be with you. I will try, but I won’t hinder you from going after your happiness. I have hurt you a lot, I don’t want to hurt you anymore."

Gu Jin’s expression didn’t soften even after hearing Long Yifan’s words.

She didn’t want to believe him, and part of her didn’t know if she could. His calm tone and gentle smile only made her more skeptical.

"Is that so?" she said coldly, her arms still crossed.

"Then why are you still here? If you’re so ready to let me go, you should leave."

Long Yifan let out a soft sigh, his smile faltering for just a moment. He took a step back, his gaze unwavering as he looked at her.

"I’ll leave, Gu Jin. But I want you to know, that no matter what, I’ll keep trying to make up for what I’ve done. Even if you hate me forever, even if you never forgive me, I’ll still try."

Gu Jin scoffed, shaking her head.

"You think words like that will change anything? I don’t need your guilt, Long Yifan. I don’t need you to keep apologizing. What’s done is done."

"I know," he said softly.

"But I’m not doing this just for you. I’m doing this for myself too. I can’t move forward knowing I’ve caused you so much pain. Fixing things is the only way I’ll ever find peace."

His voice was steady, but Gu Jin could see the pain in his eyes.

It was strange—part of her wanted to believe him, to trust that he was being sincere.

But another part of her, the part that remembered all the sleepless nights and heartache, refused to let her guard down.

"Then find your peace somewhere else," she snapped. "I don’t need you hovering around me, pretending to care. Just go."

Long Yifan’s chest tightened at her words, but he nodded slowly.

"If that’s what you want, I’ll go. Good night."

He turned to leave again, but this time, Gu Jin didn’t stop him. She stood there, watching his back as he walked toward the door.

Her heart felt heavy, and she hated that she cared even a little about his feelings.

After Long Yifan left, Gu Jin quietly turned her focus on the awakening stone.

Feeling the inauspiciousness of the day, Gu Jin decided to awaken the tomorrow.

Entering her space, Gu Jin started to cultivate her thunder element.

3 years ago she might have faced a lot of trouble focusing, but now? Nothing mattered to her.

Gu Jin thought of how she had to find a thunder mystic seed for thunder element as well as some cultivation enchanter.

Even with her space, she was hardly able to keep up with her cultivation.

Now she has five elements, tomorrow she have 7 elements.

How will she be able to cultivate them in just 48 hours a day and 3 times her cultivation speed?

So Gu Jin thought of buying some artifacts to speed up her cultivation.

The night was quiet, but Luo Meng’s heart was not.

He stormed through the dark hallway, his face shadowed by anger.

It didn’t take him long to find Long Yifan leaning against the railing of the academy’s training grounds, gazing at the starry sky as if he had no care in the world.

"Long Yifan!" Luo Meng’s voice was sharp, cutting through the stillness.

Long Yifan turned, surprised by the sudden intrusion.

His face quickly shifted into his usual calm expression, though his eyes gleamed with curiosity.

"Luo Meng? What brings you here this late? Trouble sleeping?"

"Cut the nonsense!" Luo Meng snapped, his fists clenched tightly.

"You were the one who instigated Gu Jin to leave the dorm, weren’t you?"

Long Yifan raised an eyebrow, genuinely baffled for a moment.

Then, realization dawned on him.

"Ah, you mean the principal approving her leave? Yes, that was me," he admitted without hesitation, a small smirk tugging at his lips.

Luo Meng’s fists clenched, his voice rising.

"Why? Do you hate me that much? Or are you trying to separate me and Gu Jin because you’re jealous?"

Long Yifan’s face remained calm, but there was a sharp glint in his eyes.

"Jealous? Don’t flatter yourself, Luo Meng. I didn’t do it to separate you two. I did it to teach you a lesson."

Luo Meng’s expression twisted in anger.

"A lesson? What kind of twisted game are you playing, Long Yifan?"

Long Yifan straightened up, a small smirk forming on his lips.

"You call me twisted, but you’re the one who acts like a green tea b*tch, Luo Meng. Always scheming, always playing innocent while stirring up trouble. I just thought it was time you got a taste of your own medicine."

Luo Meng’s face darkened, his eyes narrowing dangerously.

"You think this is a joke? Gu Jin will hate you if she finds out you’re behind this."

Long Yifan shrugged, his smirk not fading.

"Go ahead, tell her. I’d love to see her reaction when she finds out I helped her reunite with her family."

Luo Meng froze his anger momentarily replaced by shock. "What did you just say?"

"You heard me," Long Yifan said, his tone casual but his eyes sharp.
