Her annoyance flared. She had seen enough of Gu Aihan’s manipulative antics to know the girl had no limits when it came to stirring trouble.

But what concerned her most was her second brother’s newfound leniency toward Gu Aihan.

Was he blinded by guilt, affection, or something else entirely? Whatever the reason, his actions were becoming increasingly reckless.

She turned on her heel, her stilettos clicking sharply against the tiled floor as she stormed toward the door.

"Thank you, nurse," she said curtly, her tone dismissive. "I’ll handle this."

The nurse, sensing the tension, merely nodded and stepped aside as Gu Jichun swept out of the office.

The sleek black car carrying Second Young Master Gu sped down the highway, weaving expertly through traffic. He sat in the backseat, his fingers tapping impatiently on his knee as he stared out the window, his mind consumed by thoughts of Gu Jin.

"Ni," he called suddenly, breaking the silence.

"Yes, sir?" Assistant Ni responded from the driver’s seat.

"Do you believe in destiny?" The question was uncharacteristic, catching Assistant Ni off guard.

"I... I can’t say I’ve thought much about it, sir," he replied cautiously.

Second Young Master Gu let out a quiet laugh, though it was tinged with melancholy. "I used to think it was all nonsense. But now... I wonder."

Assistant Ni said nothing, sensing his master’s introspection.

The car surged forward, carrying Second Young Master Gu closer to the answers he had long sought.

Behind them, Gu Jichun made her own arrangements, determined to intercept her brother before he made a mistake she couldn’t fix.

By the time Second Young Master Gu arrived at the gates of the university, Gu Jichun caught up with him.

"Gu Jihu! Stop!"

Gu Jihu calmly glanced at Gu Jichun and asked,

"Why are you here?"

"That is not important, the important thing is why are you here?" Gu Jichun glared at Gu Jihu as if she would slap him if he dared to say he was there to stand up for Gu Aihan.

Gu Jihu smirked,

"To meet my sister. Now move aside."

’Meet his sister? Gu Aihan? So the b*tch hasn’t gossiped yet. Great! I still have the chance to salvage the situation.’ Gu Gu Jichun thought.

In a serious voice, Gu Jichun said,

"Second brother before you go to Gu Aihan, please listen to me. Whatever Gu Aihan says, don’t believe her. She is not our real biological sister."

The hand that was about to push Gu Jichun away passed, as Giu Jihu stared at Gu Jichun with a confused expression,

"What did you say."

"Gu Aihan is not our real sister. Our real sister is a woman named Gu Jin. You might not believe it, but I have a paternity test." Gu Jichun hurriedly explained and took out the DNA test. She passed it to Gu Jihu with trembling hands.

Her eyes were filled with expectation.

Gu Jihu was an ordinary mage before, and a playboy type person. He didn’t care much about the family.

So I took her hair to do the paternity test. However, since I was worried that Gu Aihan would tamper with the result of the DNA test, I left for abroad.

And if you are asking for Gu Jin’s personality...though Gu Jin has a cold aura and looks ruthless, that is because of how much she had suffered."

"Suffered?" Gu Jihu’s eyes darkened. His aura turned gloomy.

Gu Jichun’s heart skipped a beat. Maybe her second brother would be moved by Gu Jin’s suffering until now.

So she told the truth,

"Gu Jin was maybe swapped at birth. She lived in an orphanage and was bullied for almost 10 years. In desperation, she committed suicide once.

However, she was rescued and learned her lesson. From then on she changed completely. Now she has been admitted to Beijing University because of her hard work!"

Gu Jihu’s face darkened hearing Gu Jichun’s words, but towards the end, a small smile appeared on his face as he muttered,

"She is truly the Gu Jin I know."

"Huh? Second Brother, do you know Gu Jin too?" Gu Jichun was surprised.

Gu Jihu didn’t clarify, instead, he patted Gu Jichun’s head and said softly,

"Good work."

"Huh?" Gu Jichun was stunned by the sudden pat on her head. Before she could react, Gu Jihu held her hand and said,

"Let’s go and meet her."

"Ah? Second Brother? Wait! I haven’t told mother, father, and brother, the truth, yet!" Gu Jichun who was practically dragged toward the gate said.

Gu Jihu was unbothered,

"Don’t worry, we will tell them later."

The 7 people lowered their head. They dared not argue with the principal.

Gu Jihu chuckled,

"Lan, why are you so angry?"

His languid voice caused all the people in the room to stare at him.

Even Gu Jichun was sending death glares to Gu Jihu.
