Chapter 246: Return To Celestia
Chapter 246: Chapter 246: Return To Celestia
A hint of grievance appeared in Long Yifan’s eyes and he pouted.
Gu Jin’s eyes widened.
She wanted to slap herself. This person definitely wasn’t Long Yifan! No! Hello no!
How could this cold guy suddenly act cute?
Maybe she was hallucinating?
The suspicion was quickly suppressed when she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder
Gu Jin winced in pain, and before she could react, Long Yifan continued,
"You have to! Jin’er, I am sorry for all the things I did! And I am sorry for...I promise to...I know I am being unreasonable but you are..."
Gu Jin couldn’t understand Long Yifan’s words. His words were cut off in between and it was getting difficult to understand him.
After a few seconds, she heard herself say,
"I won’t."
Long Yifan’s eyes flashed. An evil glint appeared in his eyes, he shook his head.
Suddenly he held her hand and showed it to her.
To Gu Jin’s surprise, her fourth finger’s part was not visible to her.
What was happening?
Whoosh.
Before Gu Jin could understand anything further, she felt dizzy and fainted.
"Uff!" Gu Jin woke up and found herself in her room.
She hurriedly looked around to ensure she was in her room and once confirmed that she was back to her room, Gu Jin patted her cheeks.
"What was that?"
Gu Jin touched her lips but didn’t feel the ache, she then touched her shoulder and checked but found no mark on her shoulder.
"Space what year is it?" She asked hurriedly.
"2026." The space replied.
So at least she wasn’t fast asleep for a year or two.
"Space how many days have passed?" Gu Jin asked.
"Master only a night has passed." The space replied, his tone was filled with confusion.
"Did someone enter my room or spread any illusionary gas?" Gu Jin continued to ask.
"No master." The space replied.
Gu Jin held her forehead.
So...whatever she saw till now was a...dream?
But...it was too realistic to be called a dream.
The touch, the emotions, even the sharp pain in her shoulder—none of it had the hazy, disconnected feel of a typical dream.
Yet here she was, back in her room, with no signs of anything being out of place.
She sighed deeply, rubbing her temples, trying to make sense of everything.
"Space," she said slowly, still feeling uneasy, "have there been any changes in my surroundings or anything unusual detected recently?"
"No, master," Space replied, sounding sure. "Everything has remained consistent and secure."
Gu Jin frowned, her heart still not completely at ease. "Then why did that dream feel so... real?"
"What happened, master?" The space asked.
Gu Jin hesitated before telling the truth.
"Master, it could be stress or some underlying fear causing these intense dreams. You’ve been going through a lot lately," Space offered helpfully.
Gu Jin leaned back against the headboard, her mind wandering to the dream again. Why did Long Yifan appear like that?
In the past 3 years though Gu Jin looked at Long Yifan’s photos, they weren’t updated. So she only saw Long Yifan 3 years ago look...but in her dreams, he looked mature...
If she could see any of his pictures maybe she would be able to tell whether everything was just a dream or...
Gu Jin unconsciously touched her lips.
If it was a dream how could she feel that kiss so clearly?
However...if it was truly a dream...she wished she could have more such dreams...
Once she realized what she was doing and thinking Gu Jin shook her head and scolded herself.
She hurriedly got up and got ready.
Today they were going to return to Celestia before separating from each other.
Once in the airplane, the atmosphere between the trio turned strange.
All three of them were sad.
From next week, they will all have to part ways.
Though they can still converse with each other, that was on the condition that all of them were free.
Lu Siyao was going to join the military and would hardly have the time to check her phone and call them.
Liang Bao was going to Country R, and her time zone would be completely different from Gu Jin’s.
They wouldn’t be able to chat as much as they used to.
Gu Jin, on the other hand, would be heading to Beijing, and with her schedule already packed, she doubted she’d have the luxury of frequent communication.
The trio sat in silence for most of the flight, each lost in their own thoughts.
Occasionally, one of them would break the silence with a half-hearted comment or a joke, but it quickly dissolved back into the quiet atmosphere.
Once they reached Gu Jin’s villa, Liang Bao broke the silence,
"Jin’er what is your plan?"
Gu Jin paused for a few seconds before answering,
"I will get admitted to the Beijing University and investigate the matter side by side."
If she didn’t have the dream she had last night, maybe she would have continued to ignore the matter but now...
Gu Jin had a very faint doubt in her mind.
Yet she didn’t think of disclosing it.
Not yet.
First, she will investigate on her own, and if the result is what she is thinking then...
"Anyways first let’s discuss our business plan." Gu Jin urged.
"Oh right! I almost forgot about it!" Liang Bao patted. She was in a good mood since her graduation certificate was again validated.
The explanatory video, and with the help of the Principal of Magic Academy the matter was solved.
Gu Jin chuckled and said,
"So the plan is like this. I will parcel the herbs every 2 weeks. If you can’t sell enough you can tell me in advance and I will stop the supply for the time being.
I have already built a website and contacted a courier company in our country and Country R."
"How did you contact a courier company in Country R?" Liang Bao asked in a confused tone.
"Old Wu helped me. He has some connections there. With his help, your identity and location will be never exposed so you can ship it without any problem." Gu Jin said in a calm tone.
Liang Bao heaved a sigh of relief.
"Good."
"Now let’s talk about profits. All the income generated should be stored in the public account and please maintain an account book.
It is not like I don’t trust you but to avoid any future conflict it would be better to maintain all the records.
The profits will be distributed every month and Bao’er will be responsible for calculating the profit." Gu Jin explained.
Liang Bao and Lu Siyao nodded.
"Also all the necessary documentation works has been done here. Bao’er you will have to complete a part of it in Country R for smooth cooperation.
Yao’er you too. You will have to let the military know of this work, otherwise, it will bite you in the back later."
"Okay. I will report to Fei Hanzhu." Lu Siyao said with smile.
"For now we will only sell psychomindris to two countries. There are certain things that I want to warn you about in advance.
Don’t sell a huge amount of the psychomindris plant to a single person or corporation. It could lead to various problems.
Don’t let others know that you are the one who is selling that plant and most importantly if you feel that someone knows your identity as one of the sellers of psychomindris, immediately return to me.
I will hide for the time being. To ensure that no one knows you are the person who is selling the psychomindris plant, I have made a mask and five human skins for you both."
Gu Jin passed them a 5 human skin mask and continued,
"You will wear the first one when you are in the store."
"Store?" Lu Siyao asked in question.
"Yup. I am planning to buy a store in Country R. Since we plan to build a brand, we have to make sure it has an origin.
Though its origin is China, we will give off the illusion that it is a Country R’s brand." Gu Jin explained.
"Why give off the illusion that it’s a Country R brand?" Lu Siyao asked, still confused.
Gu Jin leaned back, her fingers tapping on the table as she carefully thought through her response.
"Think about it, Yao’er. If we present it as a Chinese brand, there will be more scrutiny. The psychomindris plant is rare, and if people knew its true origin, we’d have authorities, corporations, and maybe even international agencies all over us."
"But that still doesn’t save us from future troubles." Lu Siyao said worriedly.
"You’re right. We can’t avoid trouble forever. However, we have already decided what to do about that worry." Gu Jin answered.
"We?"
"Liang Bao and me. Once Liang Bao goes there she will focus on making connections with some powerful young master or the family head.
