After the students walked in, the professor was about to step in, when the earth started to shake violently.

A deep, rumbling growl echoed through the dense forest, sending a shiver down the spines of everyone present.

The students, already nervous from the tension of the situation, froze in place. The professors exchanged worried glances, quickly realizing that something was terribly wrong.

Out of the shadows of the forest, a pack of ferocious beasts began to emerge.

The leader of the pack, a massive, wolf-like beast with fur as black as night, snarled, baring its razor-sharp fangs. The other beasts followed suit, their growls creating a chorus of impending doom.

"Everyone, get back!" Professor Jiang shouted.

The students scrambled to retreat, panic written across their faces.

"Why are there so many beasts suddenly?"

"Were they attracted by the ritual’s energy?"

"We haven’t started yet!"

"I guess we shouldn’t open the portal. Maybe these beasts are the sign from the god to not save the girl named Gu Jin."

"Yeah!"

Gu Aihan smirked when she heard their discussion and glanced at Lu Siyao and Liang Bao whose faces had turned pale.

Let’s see how...that girl named Gu Jin could exit the Ancient Magic World.

In Ancient Magic World.

"Ahhhh!"

Gu Jin and Jin Mu turned around and saw a young man with red spikey hair running out of the ruins.

Behind him was the same Skelly Gu Jin had met earlier.

Gu Jin crouched behind a crumbling wall and heard the approaching footsteps.

Jin Mu whispered, "We need to move, or it’ll find us for sure."

Gu Jin nodded, her eyes scanning the surroundings for an escape route.

Both Gu Jin and Jin Mu turned around and found two Skelly who were looking at Gu Jin with malice.

That was all Gu Jin could think of. By now Gu Jin understood one thing. These Skelly hated her. They would follow her wherever she goes.

"Go and hide." Gu Jin said calmly.

"No, I will assist you." Jin Mu said with determination. Earlier she had run out of mana when fighting with Skelly-2. Now she was full of energy, how could she sit behind?

"Alright," Gu Jin said calmly. "But be careful. These things are dangerous."

Jin Mu nodded, gripping his weapon tightly. "I won’t let them touch you."

She was best in defense. Without a word, Jin Mu created a space shield around Gu Jin and her.

With Jin Mu’s assistance, Gu Jin was able to defeat the two Skelly in just two hours.

Just when the cores of the Skelly fell on the ground an energetic voice said,

"I will take the core."

Gu Jin and Jin Mu turned to look at the young man who with a shy smile expression extended his hand to pick the cores of the Skelly.

"Stop!" Jin Mu shouted.

The young man froze, his hand hovering over the cores of the fallen Skelly.

His shy smile faltered as he glanced nervously between Jin Mu and Gu Jin.

"What’s the problem?" he asked, his voice still carrying a hint of energy, though now tinged with uncertainty.

Jin Mu stepped forward, his eyes narrowing as he looked at the young man.

"Those cores belong to us. We fought those Skellys, and you have no right to take them."

The young man shook his head,

"See, I had injured those Skelly to some point. I should at least get half of the core of those Skelly right? But since I can cut the core in half, I decided to round off and take an entire core."

Jin Mu was speechless by the young man’s twisted logic.

"Why are you calling these Skelly?"Gu Jin asked. She would never let others rob her. So letting the young man take away an entire Skelly core was out of the question.

It was better to get the answer to the question before dealing with the matter of the core.
