Chapter 145: Chapter 143: Mediating for Ants (Part 1)

Yun Qi was frowning at the battle happening beside her.

The Lord struggled to get up from the ground, bravely patted Yun Qi on the shoulder, "Little Master, fighting like this... will my palace be okay?"

"Don’t worry, we’re still in your dream right now."

As the words fell, a towering pillar was destroyed, breaking into numerous large stone chunks that fell from the sky, smashing several big holes into the ground.

Yun Qi pondered for a moment and said, "However, since you’re dreaming inside the palace, if their fight gets too fierce and they can’t contain their demonic power, it could spill out from the dream and affect reality."

"So, you’re saying my palace could still be destroyed by them... Little Master, could you get them to stop? If the palace is ruined, I surely won’t be able to keep it from the Guardian God’s pursuit."

With a rumble, the two demons were blown apart by each other’s demonic power. The Jiao Long fell backward, its massive body knocking down several pillars behind it, with broken stones raining down.

The Peacock was blasted backward, crashing into the wall behind it. The wall collapsed with a loud crash, with debris and dust from high above rolling down the steps, grinding all the decorations on the ground into powder.

The Lord gulped, swallowing air.

With their continued fighting, the palace would probably really be torn down by them.

In comparison, death didn’t seem so frightening anymore.

Yun Qi awkwardly rubbed her nose and muttered softly, "Big demons are just uncontrollable."

After muttering, it was time to get down to business.

Yun Qi cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted in a soft and sweet voice, "Jiao Long, stop fighting, let’s leave now."

Dreaming can deplete a person’s essence energy to a certain extent, causing one to feel listless the next day; that’s the reason.

The reason the Peacock Demon repeatedly chased him in the Lord’s dreams was to purposefully cause nightmares, consuming the Lord’s energy to restore its demonic power.

This time, with the intense battle in the dream, more essence energy was consumed, and the Lord might not hold on.

If he were to die in the dream, it would be awful.

The Jiao Long and the Peacock were locked in a fierce battle, and the Demon King’s pride reared up, making it impossible for anyone to persuade them.

"If you want to leave, you leave; quitting halfway for me is like surrendering," the Jiao Long roared in mid-air.

"He can’t leave, I haven’t had enough of fighting yet," the Peacock roared as well.

Yun Qi squinted her eyes menacingly, "Neither of you are listening, time for a spanking!"

Behind her, the Lord looked at her in shock, wondering how this little dumpling in a pink shirt looked scarier than the two big demons.

As he was pondering this, a little teddy bear was suddenly thrust in front of him.

The Lord’s shiny big eyes blinked blankly, "Master Xiao Qi, can this save my life?"

"No, this is my little teddy, hold it for me, don’t let it drop."

The Lord took the teddy bear with mixed feelings, with an eerie sense of playing house with a child.

Then, he watched as Yun Qi kicked off with her foot, her form leaping into the air, in her blue overall shorts, her small legs paddling in the air, and actually flipped over to sit on the Jiao Long’s head, grabbing both of its horns.

With a powerful twist, her arms, white and tender like lotus roots, exploded with great strength, actually twisting the Jiao Long’s head backward, causing its massive tail to uncontrollably swing forward.

The Peacock, seeing the Jiao Long’s horns under control, was about to launch a sneak attack when it was unexpectedly slapped in the face by the dragon tail, flying off in an instant.

The Jiao Long, caught off guard, crashed straight into a pillar.

Yun Qi leapt down, her blue and white shoes with Doraemon decorations landing steadily on the ground.

The Lord glared with his black and shiny eyes, uniquely local, his gem-covered fingers gripping the teddy bear tightly.

This human child was terrifying, scarier than the two big demons present.

So he must not anger her lightly—must keep the bear safe.

The Jiao Long, having bashed its head into a pillar, squinted in pain and turned its head to question, "Hitting your own kind?"

"Yeah, hitting your own kind, bad kid, won’t play with you anymore." With that, the Peacock shook off the little stones and dust hidden in its feathers like a lion whose fur had blown up, and with a clear cry, it turned and flew into the Totem sculpture.

Yun Qi turned back.

The Lord was puzzled, "Master Xiao Qi..."

Only to see a white tender finger flick forward, bouncing off the Lord’s forehead.

"Ah—" The Lord screamed, waking up from his dream.

His pajamas were drenched in cold sweat. He looked up to the curtains drawn across the window, with traces of the faint morning lights filtering through the gaps, clearly showing that dawn was approaching.

He got out of bed, opened the curtains, and saw the sun rising over the distant mountains, dyeing the sky a chilling red.

Awake? He was fine, just had a dream—

As he thought so, he saw the teddy bear placed by the side of the bed.

At nine in the morning, the Lord clutched the teddy bear like an ant on a hot pan, anxiously pacing in circles, occasionally coming to the door, reaching out to knock, then putting his hand down again.

Yun Kuang came out of the room, "Stop pacing, Lord, kids are not like adults. If they don’t sleep well at night, they must catch up on sleep during the day."

Yun Qi was sleeping soundly in the room, her face rosy, her cherry lips occasionally moving, and her long eyelashes fluttering slightly over her eyes.

Finally, around ten-thirty, Yun Qi hazily woke up, Yun Kuang holding her to wash her face.

The Little Dumpling didn’t wake up much from washing her face. Her wet hair clung to her forehead, a droplet hung from her nose tip, her eyes struggling to open and close, exuding a milky scent all over.

Yun Kuang brought her outside and placed her in a high chair, at last meeting the waiting Lord, who sat down beside her.

Before Yun Qi was a steaming bowl of milk oatmeal porridge, her small nose twitching as she caught the scent, triggering her feeding instinct, pinching a spoon to take a few sips, and as drowsiness hit her, her small face drooped directly into the bowl.

Yun Kuang humorously moved the bowl away and fed her one spoonful at a time.

Yun Qi contentedly squinted her eyes, and as the spoon reached her mouth, her mouth opened in time to take a big gulp of oatmeal.

Throughout the process, she didn’t open her eyes.

The Lord and Yun Qiucheng and others marveled at the instinctive feeding of the human Little Dumpling.

Finally, with a bowl of oatmeal down, it was time for the Little Dumpling’s little antics, stretching her small arms to yawn deeply, her eyes instantly flooded with a layer of water shine, energetically asking, "What’s going on?"

The Lord, having finally waited for her to wake up, quickly handed over the teddy bear, "Master, your thing..."

Yun Qi contentedly took the teddy bear, even snuggling it into her arms.

The Lord felt very complex, recalling last night, when she separated the brawling Jiao Long and Peacock with her bare hands.

So easily, like passing by and seeing two ants fighting, casually pulling them apart.
