The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 593: The people planning against them

Chapter 593: The people planning against them

Somewhere on the borders of Greenfield City, a few men gathered around a table as they waited for their leader to show up.

"What is taking him so long? Does he think we are really free and have no work at all?" The lady sitting on the right side of the table said, her expression, already ugly since they had been waiting for the man to arrive for an hour.

The secretary immediately stood from his place and glared at the lady.

"Don’t forget your place. You might be a queen in your kingdom, but in front of us you are nothing more than a human who asked to join hands for their personal motive," The secretary said, making the woman lose her cool too.

She stood from her place and walked to where the secretary was standing.

"Who the hell do you think you are? A mere human?" She raised her hand and slapped the secretary hard across his face, making him bare his teeth at her.

"You!" The secretary grabbed the woman’s neck, lifting her in the air, and causing a commotion in the room. However, rather than being fazed by the grip on her neck and panicking, the woman pulled out the dagger from her dress and plunged it straight into the secretary’s abdomen.

Hit by such a sharp object that was covered with silver and vampire poison, the secretary immediately left her neck, making her stumble back as he looked at her with a pained expression.

The woman in front of him smirked.

"What? Do you really think it’s just us who came to you? Hasn’t your boss told you anything about how he was the one who extended his hand towards us, asking if we wanted to take revenge on the vampire kingdom?

You are merely lucky that I am not in the mood to kill anyone, or the dagger that went straight through your abdomen could’ve gone through your heart too," the woman asked before she crouched down on her ankles and twisted the dagger in his abdomen.

"A mere human? This mere human is the queen of the hunter bloodline and the sister of the emperor of the entire human kingdom.

You should start thinking with your brain rather than your fangs. If we humans were really that easy of a predator, the vampires wouldn’t be resorting to so many measures to control us," the lady said before she pulled the dagger out from the secretary’s body.

She casually picked the tissues from the table and wiped the dagger before throwing the tissues on the secretary’s face.

"Please don’t mind what happened earlier," She smiled at everyone before sitting on her designated chair.

"Marla, that wasn’t very nice of you. We are not here to make enemies. We are here to get some allies who can help us take our revenge," Grayson said, standing from his place before he started massaging the shoulders of Marla, to calm her down.

Marla scoffed.

"I know what we are doing here. But it’s important to show these leeches their place from time to time. If we don’t react to their insults, they will think they can walk all over us," Marla scoffed before she used the same dagger she had used to stab the secretary and picked the apple piece with it, eating it with a smile on her face.

Everyone in the room looked at the lady, unable to say anything to her.

So this was the power of the queen who was reigning the hunter bloodline and rearing one of the deadly rogues in the entire nation.

She was definitely meticulous and dangerous.

When she entered the room and sat quietly, not indulging in any political talk, one could’ve thought that she was there just to represent the bloodline since the king couldn’t, but who would’ve thought she was the real deal?

Grayson looked at every man in the room who was looking at his queen and a sense of protectiveness grew in his heart. His grip tightened on her shoulders, and Marla, who was long accustomed to his possessiveness, closed her eyes before leaning backward shamelessly.

She looked into his eyes and smiled.

"Do you want to die?" She asked, her bun rubbing slightly on his torso and Grayson cleared his throat, before easing his grip and shaking his head.

"I apologize, Queen Marla," He whispered, his gaze looking at the queen mischievously who smiled at him, already knowing what her subordinate wanted from her.

Marla looked at the secretary, who had a cloth wrapped around his torso as he sat on the chair in front of them while looking at her cautiously.

"If your boss isn’t coming. We have no intention to waste our time. We have other things to handle too," Marla stood from her place, looking at Grayson, who nodded and immediately stood, holding her purse in his hand.

As soon as the queen of the hunter’s bloodline stood, the other people who were called from different areas to collude with the vampire leader stood too. They were running out of their patience too and just needed someone to initiate.

As Marla turned around, ready to walk towards the exit, they felt the overbearing aura that immediately forced them to step back and look at the entrance inquisitively.

The vampire leader they were waiting for stepped inside the conference room, his gaze darkening when he saw everyone standing from their places.

"I got caught with something," He said, giving no apology to anyone.

As he swept his gaze around, the lingering smell of blood wafted through his nostrils.

His gaze shifted to his secretary who was sitting there with a wound on his abdomen. He quirked his brows and looked at everyone in the room one by one.

"It looks like my secretary already took the hit for me being late. There’s no need for any apology or any formality," he said casually and walked towards the table.

Everyone looked at each other, but when the queen of the hunter’s bloodline kingdom and the King of the Ash bloodline kingdom went back to their respective seats, everyone followed suit.

"Let’s not waste any more of our time. What do you want to talk about with us?" Marla was the first one to speak, and the leader looked at her before nodding.

"So you have finally believed the evidence I sent to your place. I didn’t expect to see you here. I thought I would need something more expensive to bring you here," The leader said.

Marla scoffed.

"I don’t think there’s anything more expensive than the revenge of my daughter’s death. That monster of your kingdom who has now become the king, not only killed my daughter, he mutilated her in a way that even her face was unrecognizable. The thought alone spites a wave of anger inside me that makes me want to burn the entire vampire kingdom," Marla said, her fists clenched on the table, making him smile.

He could see that Marla had only one thought in mind. Destruction of Sebastian Marino. And wasn’t that the exact thought that he carried in his heart too?

However, he still wanted to affirm something.

"And what thoughts do you have about that man’s wife? Elliana Heart, I mean," The vampire leader asked.

"Elliana heart? That bitch mooched off of us for so long, and rather than being grateful for what we did for her and giving her food to eat, this is how she repaid us. If possible, I would choke her with my bare hands and see life slip out of her body," Marla said, her eyes dark and full of evilness.

As soon as Marla stopped speaking, the vampire Leader smiled meticulously.

"This is what I wanted to announce. If anyone dared to touch even a single strand of Elliana Heart, I mean, Elliana Minerva, it would mean he is going against me. If she attacks you to protect her husband or the kingdom, hurt her, but she shouldn’t die under any circumstances," The vampire leader said.

Hearing those kinds of words, Marla scoffed.

"Don’t tell me you are bewitched by that witch’s deduction," Marla said.

The vampire leader smirked.

"Ohh, don’t think about it. Whether I am bewitched by her charms, or if I have better plans to use her powers and body, it’s my headache. Everyone here has Sebastian Marino as their sole competitor and enemy. That’s why we have gathered. Apart from him, nothing else has to be harmed," The leader said.

Marla stood from her place.

"I don’t agree. My revenge won’t be complete if I don’t kill that bitch too. It’s all because of that bitch, my daughter is dead in the first place. It would’ve been so good if I had killed that cunt the day she came to our doorstep and -" Marla didn’t complete her words as in the next moment, a dagger flew right from beside her, hitting the wall behind her.

Marla looked at the vampire kingdom wide-eyed.

The man in front of her scoffed.

"It’s good that you are courageous and know who to contact for your revenge and act, Queen Marla. But it would be better if you also recognize the stark difference between courage and pure foolishness. Speak one more bad word about her and I shall have your neck displayed in that field ahead as a scarecrow," The vampire leader said, his eyes darkening, a clear indication that he was serious about every word he spoke.
