The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -
Chapter 549: Angry mommy
Chapter 549: Angry mommy
If Misha thought calling Queen Azura to talk about her daughter’s condition was a good idea, she was highly mistaken.
"Queen Azura, hear me out first. I didn’t mean to say it like that," Misha stepped back while Azura took a deep shaky breath, her powers radiating in the entire forest.
At the same time, Nathaniel, who was performing the dark ritual and was in his last stage of completing the binding of his powers with Elliana, performing the highest order to sacrifice a witch could do for someone else by linking their soul to the other person, scrunched his eyebrows when he felt a weird blue energy engulfing his heart.
What was going on? Why wasn’t he able to complete the last linking with Elliana’s soul? Nathaniel took a deep breath before trying again.
"Elliana Minerva," He whispered the name of the person with whom he wanted to complete the linking of souls.
Failed.
Failed.
Failed.
Nathaniel finally opened his eyes when he couldn’t link his soul to Elliana’s completely, his brows scrunched.
"Queen Azura," Nathaniel called for his stepmother.
No response.
Was she not in the realm? He stood from his place, looking at the star sign around him with a contemplated look. If he stepped out of this sign, he would have to do everything again.
Nathaniel looked at the hairbrush in the corner of the room which they were using to steal Arizona’s powers so they could give them to Elliana since she was the only person among them who could absorb more powers without any issues.
With a sigh, Nathaniel walked out of the star sign, his gaze landing on his phone.
Should he ask Elliana to see what was wrong? Normally this shouldn’t have happened.
Nathaniel bit his lower lip before sighing and picking up his phone to call her.
However, as soon as he picked up the phone, he saw her message about asking Queen Azura to talk to the siren queen.
The message was read already.
Could it be that Queen Azura went to talk to Misha? Should he go too? There was no doubt, he was curious about what it was that made the Siren queen want to talk to the queen of the dark witch.
Nathaniel sighed and used his teleportation to reach where Queen Azura was, not at all ready for the kind of scene he was greeted with.
"Queen Azura," Nathaniel said when he saw Misha almost at her wit’s end as Queen Azura lifted Misha in the air through her magic.
"H-help me," Misha whispered, her eyes brimming with tears.
Nathaniel clenched his teeth.
Help her? How was he supposed to help her? His powers were nowhere strong enough to fight the queen of the dark wishes.
However, there was indeed a person who was the perfect candidate for it.
"She said my daughter is dying! How could she utter those words? How dare she!" Queen Azura raised her voice slowly.
Azura was about to throw her on the ground when they felt a swoosh of wind around them before lightning struck the ground right in front of Queen Azura, breaking her powerful hold the siren queen.
Nathaniel didn’t need to be told who had appeared in front of them.
Elliana lifted her gaze, her expression neutral before she turned around and put Misha back on the ground.
"Elliana, baby, what are you doing here?" Queen Azura started, immediately getting all nervous that her daughter was here.
Elliana didn’t look at her mother. Rather she looked at the mark on Misha’s neck that had formed because of that powerful hold.
She touched the bruise with her index finger, shifting some of her energy to heal the wound quickly.
"What were you doing? Have you forgotten it’s her powers that’s keeping me alive?" Elliana asked Azura without looking at her mother and Nathaniel sighed.
"Are you okay?" Elliana asked and Misha nodded, falling on the ground as she gasped for as much air as she could.
"I brought your sirens," Elliana said and everyone finally looked to the left side where another powerful person was present along with three sirens with their mouths taped with duct tape.
"I... Please forgive me, daughter, but this... This siren queen crossed the line first. She said you were... How was I supposed to keep my cool after hearing that?" Azura asked, not even wanting to say that word.
Elliana closed her eyes.
This was getting worse than she had imagined.
After Elliana had gotten inside the blanket to rest, she had immediately gotten a call from Mr. Marino who asked her if she asked the siren queen where she wanted her sirens to be released.
Elliana told him that Misha wanted to meet him, and Sebastian had immediately agreed to it.
He offered to come and get her from the royal Kingdom, but Elliana told him she would use her teleportation and that she needed to practice her magic from time to time to be able to perform better.
However, she had never thought that she would get to see such a scene when she arrived here.
"I am not at fault here. I know that my words weren’t exactly the best words in the world that anyone would want to hear, but that’s the truth," Misha said.
"You can stop speaking, Misha. I will talk to you later. Take your sirens and leave," Elliana quickly said, glaring at Misha, hoping her man who was a few meters away from them wouldn’t hear her, but luck wasn’t on her side.
"Why?" Sebastian asked.
"Why would you talk to her later, Princess?" Sebastian walked to Elliana before he grabbed her hand and pulled her back, making her back hit his chest before he secured his hand around her torso to stop her from moving anywhere.
"I think we all should hear what it is. We deserve to know," Sebastian said, his gaze cold, and Misha didn’t know if it was a good idea anymore.
"What are you thinking about? Tell us what it is?" Nathaniel urged too.
Misha looked at Elliana for a little help and the latter sighed.
"Let’s go to the base near the forest and sit and talk about it," Elliana suggested and everyone nodded.
They all walked to the base that Elliana talked about. Well, everyone walked while Sebastian carried Elliana in his arms because according to him the girl who could fight against the queen of the dark witches was still too weak to be able to walk.
Glow and others, who first saw Misha entering the area, were about to ask her where did she go when they saw the others joining them.
Glow’s gaze met her brother, who looked at her with mixed emotions.
Her brows scrunched when she saw Elliana in her brother’s hand and thinking their boss got hurt, Glow walked to Sebastian.
To everyone’s surprise, she placed her hand under Elliana’s waist and pulled the girl into her arms as if she belonged to them, making Sebastian’s eyes darken.
"What are you doing? How dare you take my wife away from me," Sebastian stepped closer to Glow.
"Put me down, Glow. I am not hurt or anything. He just likes to exaggerate things," Elliana whispered, but like a child who didn’t want to give up on her toy, Glow went and sat on one of the chairs with Elliana still in her arms, her hold tightening around the girl’s torso, making Elliana sigh.
"Let’s continue our talk," Elliana motioned for everyone to find a place and sit.
She looked at Lillian, who was looking at her as if waiting for Glow to release her so she could hug her and Elliana sighed.
"Come here," she curled her index finger.
Lillian didn’t waste a single second in using her vampire speed to reach her before she sat on her knees and placed her head on Elliana’s lap.
Sebastian looked at all the women in the base, who were standing behind where his princess was, and couldn’t help but smile at the bond these people share.
It was truly magical, and though it didn’t make any sense, maybe it was the illogical part that made everyone’s heart connect like that.
Elliana nodded at Misha to start talking about the important matter at hand.
"Today when Elliana called me to ask where I wanted the sirens, she suddenly gasped and I asked her what happened. She told me saw a trident mark on her wrist," Misha started and everyone’s gaze immediately shifted to Elliana’s hand where the faint lining of that mark was still there.
Queen Azura furrowed her brows before realization dawned upon her and she looked at Nathaniel, who had the same expression on his face.
Though it was related to Sirens and they didn’t have much knowledge about this stuff, this mark usually appears when the soul is seeking peace. And it isn’t the kind of peace that one attains with a happy life. It was the kind of peace that one attains when there is no life.
