The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 534: Important talk

Chapter 534: Important talk

"Elliana, what exactly are you planning?" Nathaniel asked Elliana when no one was there with her, and Elliana looked at her phone, her gaze focused on the reports in her hands.

Nathaniel looked at her, concentrated on her reports, and sighed. His gaze shifted to the nightstand, making him shake his head.

She never listens to him, does she?

"What’s wrong? Aren’t you happy that you cleared all the subjects?" Nathaniel asked, making her hum softly.

"I am happy, but why do I have fewer marks in Chemistry? It’s one subject I am most confident in. Could it be that the teacher deliberately deducted my marks because I didn’t listen to her when it came to my projects?" Elliana asked.

Nathaniel sighed.

He looked at the girl, unsure what to say.

If it had been anyone else, they would be worrying about their life and building strategies on how to tackle things, but rather than doing that, she was more worried about why the teacher deducted a couple of marks.

"Elliana, can you keep these reports aside for a while? This is the only time when I can talk to you freely without worrying about anyone barging on us," Nathaniel said.

Elliana finally lifted her gaze when she sensed the seriousness in his voice and pressed her lips into a thin line before placing the reports on the nightstand.

"Fine, what is it?" She asked.

"I have known you more than anyone in your entire life. I know that this battle isn’t just about checking your powers or training yourself to become the strongest. This urge to learn how to tackle magical realism is just a faux cover too. Tell me what’s going on inside your head," Nathaniel held her hand, looking at her sternly to tell her there was no use lying to him.

Elliana wasn’t surprised.

It was the truth either way. She was planning on doing all those things either way, but at the end of the day, they were just a faux cover for her actual plan.

"I... First, can you promise me to not tell my mom anything?" Elliana asked, her eyes full of hope and a weird wariness.

Nathaniel gazed into her eyes for a few seconds before nodding.

"I won’t tell her anything," He said, not making a promise.

However, since he said that, Elliana was sure he wouldn’t reveal the truth easily.

Nathaniel stood from his place, walking to the nightstand to prepare the herbal juice that he could clearly see she didn’t drink.

"I am actually planning to take that witch queen Arizona head on," Elliana whispered, looking at Nathaniel warily, and the sound of the glass breaking echoed in the room.

She closed her eyes at the loud voice.

"You are planning what?" She heard, and she opened her eyes when she noticed it wasn’t Nathaniel who dropped the glass.

She turned around, her pupils dilating when she noticed the person standing at the door.

"Grandpa Abramo," Elliana quickly stood from her place, evening her dress, her gaze shifting to the vase that fell from his hand.

"I... What brings you here?" Elliana forced a fake smile on her face, but Abramo was far from convinced.

Nathaniel immediately clicked his fingers, clearing the broken glass on the ground.

"Thank you, Prince Nathaniel," Abramo said, making the guy nod vaguely as he continued his work to prepare the herbal juice.

He removed the upper tearable section of the pouch before putting the powder in the green liquid.

"What were you talking about?" Abramo asked.

Elliana chuckled awkwardly, her gaze meeting Mom Freya, and Ruth who were standing beside their grandpa.

"Actually Nathaniel here wanted me to go to the witch University to continue training my powers. The annual battle is near, and he wants me to win the trophy that would give me immediate recognition in the witch world. My powers are optimum and strong enough to take down a few teachers.

However, there is this 8th grade witch Arizona who is expected to win this trophy since she has been performing well in all the preliminary tests. That’s what I meant when I said I am going to take the witch queen Arizona head on," Elliana said, her expression on point as she scowled at the end.

"Do you think I would be able to win?" She blinked her eyes innocently.

Nathaniel scoffed inwardly. This girl was really becoming a pro at lying these days. However, this time she would definitely fail. There was no way the ex-king was going to believe her lie.

He wasn’t an ex-king for nothing.

Nathaniel turned around to handle the matters so her secret wouldn’t be revealed when to his surprise, the previous vampire king nodded.

"You will win without a doubt. I have seen you fight. Your presence of mind will yield you good results. And sorry about that. I actually brought the flowers for you because Sebastian said you like blue roses. But when I heard you, I almost thought you were talking about the real witch queen, your mother’s sister, and made a slip-up," Abramo chuckled awkwardly.

Nathaniel, who saw the scene in front of him, didn’t know whether to scoff at the vampire king’s stupidity or applaud the way Elliana was growing to become a professional liar.

He shook his head and walked to her.

"Here, drink this," Nathaniel said to her sternly.

Elliana looked at the ugly juice with the most bitter taste and pouted her lips.

"What’s this awful smell?" Ruth commented, pinching her nose in displeasure.

"There’s no way you are making her drink this," Freya looked at the girl’s ugly expression and then at Nathaniel, who looked a bit too resilient.

"She has to drink this, unfortunately. It will heal her," Nathaniel said.

Elliana looked at the ladies, hoping they would say something to stop Nathaniel.

"Well, if it’s going to heal her faster, we have no choice then. Elliana, baby, drink it quickly," Freya walked to her and caressed her hair, making Elliana cry inwardly.

The people she thought would be helping her were actually ganging up on her now.

"What are you guys doing with my wife?" Sebastian, who had gone to talk to the doctor about her discharge procedures and what kind of precautions they needed to take just in case, returned and saw everyone circling around Elliana, and couldn’t help but scowl.

"Mr. Marino, my savior," Elliana raised her voice before pouring even more and extending her hands towards him.

"Everyone is ganging up on me. They want me to drink this dirty juice. I don’t want to anymore. I am healed. Please, Mr. Marino," Elliana whispered, sniffing softly and puckering her lips.

Sebastian quirked his brows, looking at others before he walked to her and bent slowly, letting her wrap her hands around his neck before he picked her in his arms like a baby.

Elliana, who was only trying to act cute and had thought that he would pick her bridal style, blushed scarlet red at his weird way of holding her, clearing her throat.

She didn’t want to be like this in front of elders, but now that the deed was done, becoming awkward about it would be even worse.

"If you don’t want to drink, then don’t-" Sebastian started, but Abramo interrupted his speech.

"Sebastian, we know you love your wife, but this is for her own good. You need to differentiate what is right and wrong for her even when it comes to love and -"

"I don’t think I need to learn how to love my wife from others," Sebastian sighed.

"She is not your wife anymore, Sebastian. But she is definitely my half-sister, which gives me more right to decide what is good and bad for her," Nathaniel said, glaring at Elliana, who hid her face in Sebastian’s crook like a baby trying to protect herself.

"I am sure you came to meet and greet her. You have seen her. She is doing fine. We will inform you once she is settled and you can come at that time. Nathaniel, leave us alone for some time. There is something I need to discuss with her," Sebastian said, his gaze firm and serious.

Abramo looked at his grandson whose eyes were turning red slowly to execute his dominance and sighed.

"But why do they have to leave? They just arrived," Elliana looked at Sebastian, who shook his head at her.

"This is important, Princess," he said before looking at others.

Abramo nodded at Freya and Rose, who immediately nodded at their father-in-law and smiled at Elliana.

"We will come to meet you soon, okay?" Freya looked at Elliana, who nodded slightly.

"I will bring some candies for you next time so that you can eat them when you drink some bitter juices," Ruth said before they nodded at Sebastian and left one by one.

"Drink it," Nathaniel said firmly to Elliana, motioning to the juice on the table before vanishing into thin air.

Elliana looked at Sebastian, waiting for him to tell her what was so important that he sent everyone away.

"I missed you," Sebastian whispered before he laid her on the bed, putting his entire weight over her as he hugged her, surprising Elliana.

Elliana - "..." Was this the so-called important he was talking about?

"Is this not important?" Sebastian asked.

"Who said that? This is the most important," Elliana whispered, making him nod before he licked her neck, doing something that she hadn’t expected at all.

He bit into her neck.
