The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -
Chapter 507: To harass her
Chapter 507: To harass her
The next day~~~
"This is pure madness," Elliana whispered as Nathaniel stopped the car in front of her University.
"This is not madness. Just because you have revealed you are a witch doesn’t mean you don’t have to study anymore. We don’t have illiterate witches in our Kingdom," Azura sided with Nathaniel, and Elliana sighed.
She looked at the University, her thoughts all messed up.
After Mr. Marino left last night, Nathaniel had allowed her to stay in the Moon City with the wolves and not go to Black Skull Palace on one condition that she was to go to the University the next day.
Her University was supposed to stay closed for a week after exams, but the Principal suddenly announced that the classes were to resume again.
"Go now. And remember that I am seeing everything you are doing. So don’t even think about using any kind of teleportation to escape this. You will have to face it sooner or later anyway," Nathaniel said.
Elliana groaned, flailing her legs and kicking the back of Nathaniel’s seat, making the man roll his eyes while Azura had an amused smile on her face as she looked at her daughter throwing a tantrum.
"You will pay for this," Elliana warned Nathaniel who hummed, not saying anything nonetheless.
She got out of the car, her heart skipping a beat for some unknown reason as dread clouded her thoughts.
She wouldn’t lie, she had created a massive scene at the royal party and wasn’t sure if her friends would even accept or want to talk to her. She wasn’t ready to receive more rejection.
But it wasn’t like she had a choice either.
With her head held high, she walked towards the University, her gaze meeting with the security guard who immediately bowed to her, making her furrow her brows.
Well, that wasn’t the reaction she was expecting.
She didn’t stop to talk to him and went straight to her building.
Since she was fashionably late for her class, the corridors were empty, which she was thankful for.
As Elliana walked around the corridors with her heart beating at a faster pace, her gaze flickered to the laboratory, and she remembered she had to collect the samples that she had forgotten earlier.
She might as well get them before leaving. It would take her quite a few efforts, but there was nothing she couldn’t pacify Nathaniel for.
"May I come in?" Elliana asked the Professor who was teaching, and the man in his late fifties stopped and gazed at his watch before looking at the girl.
"You are late. Don’t repeat this behavior if you want to keep attending my class," the man said, and Elliana nodded.
"Yes, sir," She said.
She didn’t dare to make any eye contact with Dexter or Melony and sat in the empty chair, noticing how a few students around her immediately sat alert and a sigh left her mouth before she took out her notebook and nearly hid her face into it.
’Why are you feeling uncomfortable? This is your reign. They owe nothing to you. Hold your head up,’ Circe said, and Elliana rolled her eyes.
’Shut up. If you hadn’t broken my pendant in the first place, I wouldn’t be going through this ordeal,’ Elliana hissed to her powers who immediately went quiet.
After the everlasting class, Elliana shot up from her seat as soon as the lecture ended and rushed outside before anyone could catch her.
She was so busy keeping herself away from her friends so she wouldn’t have to see the hatred in their eyes and get her heart broken again that she didn’t even see where she was going and bumped into someone.
"Oomph!" She stumbled back, rubbing her nose with an irritated groan.
"I guess, being a witch didn’t change your klutz nature, did it?" She heard Alcinder’s voice and raised her gaze to meet his.
"I... " She turned around, ready to dash away again when someone held her hand, and she turned to see Samantha holding her hand, making her sigh.
"You have a lot of explanations to do, Missy," Samantha said, making Elliana look at them helplessly.
"There is nothing to explain. You heard what I was in the ceremony, didn’t you?" Elliana said awkwardly, removing her hand gently as she felt Dexter’s presence behind her.
"Yeah, you did. Are you hungry? The lunch is on me," Dexter said and was about to hold her hand when he suddenly remembered who she was married to and he clenched his fist before retreating his hand.
"Let’s go," he said, holding her sleeve and pulling her all the way to the canteen where everyone joined her.
Elliana was confused by their behavior. Why were they behaving like nothing happened? As if she wasn’t a dark witch they needed to stay away from?
"Do you guys not hate me?" Elliana whispered, not looking at anyone as she sat on the table.
"Hate you for what?" Daniel asked as he pulled his chair to sit down.
"For who I am. Didn’t you hear it? Didn’t you see what I did?" Elliana elaborated, and Samantha hummed.
"About that, I must say I was definitely jealous of you. I mean, how cool it was. You just raised your hand and the clouds appeared and then those fireworks. You even made it rain. And those wolves, oh my, you looked like a villainess in her revenge era. And the way that wall -" Samantha couldn’t complete her sentence because Alcinder stuffed a steamed bun in her mouth, immediately shutting her.
"We don’t hate you Elliana. It’s not something you can control. Yes, it hurt us a bit that you could never trust us enough to share your secret, but then, with the kind of secret you had, I do agree that anyone in your place would’ve done the same," Alcinder said, nodding at her in understanding.
"You don’t mind anything?" Elliana asked.
"How many times do you want to hear it? We don’t hate you or think you are weird because you are a witch," Alcinder said.
"So does it mean you are happy that I am back to bully you? I mean, now that you guys know who I am, I won’t have a problem doing anything witchy either. Something like -" Elliana clicked her fingers and some water splashed on Alcinder’s head, making him drenched.
Everyone around the table gasped and looked at Elliana, who had a little sheepish smile on her face.
"You!" Alcinder grabbed the glass of juice, and threw it on Elliana, making her gasp as the sticky water dripped down her head.
"Alcinder! How manly of you!" Samantha immediately stood from her place and took out her handkerchief to help Elliana, but to her surprise, Elliana stood and clicked her fingers, her dress and hair going back to normal as she smirked at Alcinder, who gritted her teeth.
"Don’t tempt me to do it again," Alcinder stood from his place.
"You can never beat me at my own game," Elliana challenged back, and Alcinder sighed before he stepped back from his seat.
Everyone knew what was coming next, Alcinder wasn’t going to let her get away with it easily.
Alcinder stepped back again, ready to pounce on Elliana to rub some noodles on her head, but before he could move an inch, everyone stood from their place and their attention was immediately shifted to the entrance of the canteen where five royal guards entered and looked straight at the princess.
The black skull emblems on their dresses were a clear indication of who these guards belonged to.
"I will catch up with you guys later," Elliana whispered as she stepped back from her seat, ready to run away, but before she could take another step, her back hit something.
The familiar scent that wafted through her nostrils was enough to let her know who this person was and she closed her eyes, her gaze meeting with Samantha, who was looking at the man behind her with wide eyes.
"Going somewhere, Princess?" Sebastian mused into her ears, making her gulp as his hot breath on her skin made her ticklish slightly.
"So this was your plan all along, huh? The university was supposed to be closed for a week. But you asked the Principal to open it so you could come here and harass me in the name of the King’s inspection," Elliana said without a filter on her mouth.
"My princess is quite intelligent. Don’t you think so, Lucas?" Sebastian asked, and the subordinate who didn’t want to come between the quarrel of the husband and wife, gulped.
Lucas - "..." Please don’t ask me anything. I like my body dry and not drenched. He thought, his gaze shifting to Alcinder who was drenched.
"So what do you want from me now?" Elliana asked, and the man pressed his lips into a thin line at her fake angry tone before clearing his throat.
"You already said the answer to your question, Princess. I am here to harass you," Sebastian smiled mischievously, her gaze holding the softness that was a rare sight for everyone.
Meanwhile, those who knew him...
Elliana - "..."
Her friends - "..."
Sebastian’s subordinates - "..." Are you sure sir this is what you wanted to say? Because it doesn’t sound appropriate anymore.
