"Are you alright?" Nathaniel asked, clicking his fingers, making Elliana look into his eyes for a few seconds before she wrapped her hands around his neck and hugged him while she sat in his lap.

Nathaniel froze in his place for a few seconds, his heart skipping a beat before he relaxed when she snuggled her head into his neck, pulling herself closer to him as if she were trying to find a home in him.

Nathaniel sighed and placed his lips on her temple softly.

"Everything is alright. I am with you. No matter what happens next, and if the world rejects you, just know that you will always find a home in me," Nathaniel whispered softly to her, patting her back softly.

Azura looked at her daughter and stood at some distance awkwardly.

She should’ve been the one in place of Nathaniel. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to win her daughter’s trust yet for her daughter to hug her like she was hugging Nathaniel right now.

Azura won’t lie. She was jealous of his stepson because her daughter trusted him with her life and her heart more than she would ever do to her.

"Aren’t you going to leave me?" Nathaniel asked after a few seconds passed.

However, to his surprise, he heard her soft breathing and he looked down, surprised.

"Is she... Really asleep?" Nathaniel asked before sighing.

He stood from his place, hugging her closer to his chest as he looked at the girl’s face that was covered with her soft curls, and a sigh escaped his mouth.

"Where are you going? Where are you taking her?" Azura asked, and Nathaniel looked at the girl who gave herself to him without a second doubt.

"A place where no witch will try to hurt her," Nathaniel whispered before looking into Queen Azura’s eyes.

"A place where she belongs," Nathaniel said.

"Sebastian’s royal palace? But is it really okay? What if she flips out?" Azura asked.

"For now, I am temporarily taking her to a place where I used to meditate. My magical realm. I will think about anything later," Nathaniel said.

Azura pressed her lips into a thin line.

"I don’t like the idea," She objected.

"Well, I don’t really care about your opinion here. She needs rest after she went through so much today. And I am not going to let anyone come between her and her rest, not even her mother," Nathaniel said before he vanished into thin air.

Azura clenched her hands and followed Nathaniel, appearing out of his magical realm.

"I... There is one more place where she won’t be touched," Azura said.

"Bring her to my queen chambers," she said, and Nathaniel’s pupils dilated.

"But you have never allowed anyone in there. Not even King Eros -"

"She is my daughter, Nath. I will spell that place with my blood if that’s what it would need to keep her safe. I messed up in the past, but I won’t let anything stop me when it comes to protecting her," Azura said.

"But..." Nathaniel started, however, he heard something that he had never expected to hear from Elliana’s mouth.

"Dad, look at me," she whispered, and Nathaniel froze in his place, almost losing his grip on her before he controlled it.

"W-what did she say? Did it hear it right?" Nathaniel asked, and Azura hummed, her brown narrowed.

"Now that I think about it, are you sure that Elliana left Sebastian on her own accord and no one forced her?" Azura asked randomly.

"What are you trying to say?" Nathaniel asked.

"It’s simple logic. For those witches who are after her, which I must mention are my sisters, they need to be in contact with Elliana again and again to form a connection with her. Arizona’s existing connection with Elliana broke with the locket. Now to maintain that connection and be able to see her, they needed her away from Sebastian because he was like a hindrance to their plans.

Now that he thought about it, was his princess given a chance to smile freely without worrying about anything?

"Can you take care of her? I think I need to deal with this issue first," Nathaniel said.

Azura heard his words and immediately panicked.

"You want me to take care of her? But how am I- what if she wakes up and becomes angry after seeing me? This -"

Nathaniel saw Queen Azura panicking a bit and he sighed.

"Relax, Queen Azura. I know it’s hard for you but you will have to build trust in yourself. This is your opportunity. She is not a bad person who can hold grudges for long. She will forgive you the moment she sees some love in you for her. It will be fine. I promise," Nathaniel said, and Azura looked at the girl before nodding vaguely as they appeared back in the forest.

"Then I shall take her back to the kingdom, to the place that truly belongs to her and is rightfully her home," Azura whispered, making Nathaniel nod as he gently placed the girl on the couch that Azura created with her magic.

"Aren’t you going to come?" Azura asked, looking at Nathaniel hopefully.

"It’s better I don’t go there. That’s not my home. It wasn’t supposed to be the moment I was born a hybrid," Nathaniel smiled, the pain visible in his eyes before he nodded at the queen and vanished into thin air, making Azura sigh and look at her daughter.

She was about to take Elliana when she saw a couple of vampires appearing out of nowhere and looking at her warily.

"Where are you taking our leader?" Glow signed.

Azura scrunched her brows, not understanding the sign language and glow sighed helplessly before looking behind at her at Marcello.

She signed the same question and Marcello looked at the dark witch, who was wearing a royal blue cloak, the emerald ornaments on her hand, a clear indication that she was no normal person.

"I am Elliana’s biological mother. She is asleep at the moment. Her life is in danger from the other witches since she broke her pendant that was hiding her identity in a fit of anger. That’s why I am taking her back to the kingdom until she wakes up and Nathaniel, her half-brother, solves the issue with her presence and identity here," Azura explained carefully and in detail because she had seen how much these people meant to her daughter.

"Will she abandon us?" Glow asked, tears brimming her eyes again, and Azura, who read her words through her mind since she wanted to check if this vampire was really a good person, felt conflicted.

"She isn’t abandoning you. We all can agree to that. My daughter doesn’t abandon people. It’s always the other way around," Azura said, caressing Elliana’s hand.

"Why did you leave her side? Did you know she was bullied? Why are you back now? Did you always know about it?" Glow asked, and Azura sighed, unsure how to answer that and how much to tell her.

Meanwhile, in the Black Skull Palace, Nathanial sat in front of Sebastian, his gaze dark and full of malice.

"What do you want from me?" Nathaniel asked, making Sebastian’s beast appear and take over to show his dominance in the room.

"I think we both know what I want. Elliana Minvera, my wife, I want her back. And if I were a little sensible and thinking straight through my head, I wouldn’t deny a beast his possession," Sebastian said, making Nathaniel scoff.

"Well, that possession divorced you,"

"Aren’t you supposed to be her half-brother? Why are you so possessive of her?" Sebastian smirked at Nathanial’s ugly expression.

"That possession needs my protection too," Sebastian countered again, catching Nathaniel off-guard.

"How do you know that?" Nathanial asked, and Sebastian chuckled.

"Well, isn’t this too surprising? Now will you bring her to me yourself, or do I need to invade the dark witch kingdom?" Sebastian asked without a hint of hesitation, and Nathanial sighed.

"Let’s agree. After the mess she made, she won’t come back easily. Do you have a plan?" Nathanial asked.

"Is kidnapping allowed?" Sebastian asked, and both the men smirked at each other.
