The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 437: Who was Azrael?

Chapter 437: Who was Azrael?

At the same time, in the Creta regions, Pluto sat in the same room which had a clear view of the dark witch kingdom and the black diamond clan.

He looked at his friend who was gazing at the black shining star and sighed.

"Nath, I am sorry. I didn’t -"

"How could you?" Nathaniel turned around, looking straight into his eyes.

"Out of all the people, Pluto, you were the only one I trusted with this secret of mine. Why would you do something like this? Do you have any idea what could’ve happened if we hadn’t gone there to check on her?" Nathaniel asked.

Though Nathaniel’s voice wasn’t raised, it was how his voice was void of emotions that irked Pluto, and he looked down in shame once again.

"I am sorry, Nath, I really am. I didn’t know that the girl would be so hurt that she would end up hurting -"

"You don’t understand, do you? If you were in her place and suffered all this, would you have been able to maintain your sanity?" Nathaniel interrupted Pluto’s apology.

"It’s not about her alone. Those powers wouldn’t have let her die either way. What I am afraid of is what they would’ve done to control their human anxiety attack. She used one spell and an entire forest burnt with Black flames. Don’t you understand that she is a walking disaster if not kept in control? You even told the truth when Azura was there. I don’t know what she would try to do now. That which has always been unpredictable," Nathaniel expressed his frustration.

Pluto knew he made a grave mistake and there was nothing he could do to make it right. Because of what happened, Nathaniel might not even talk to him again or tell him anything, and the thought alone made his heart clench.

He didn’t want to lose his only true friend.

"What were you even doing there? If it was about what she was doing, you could’ve simply informed me," Nathaniel turned to Pluto.

Pluto sighed.

"I had gone there to check up on her because she was creating those black flames. You very well know it’s against the laws and her creating those black flames would’ve caught everyone’s attention. You were already busy studying the spells, that’s why I didn’t bother you. I just wanted to warn her. I had no idea things would turn out this way either. And after what I saw and heard -"

"What do you mean? Did she say something?" Nathaniel turned to look at Pluto, and he sighed.

"Not Elliana, but her powers. I watched her for a few seconds and noticed how her gaze was fixated on the spell that takes away your sense of feeling forever. She probably wanted to perform that but changed her mind. I think you should take away that book from her," Pluto said.

Nathaniel’s pupils dilated a bit.

Her powers were already starting to talk to other authors to establish their reign. Were they the ones who urged Elliana to use that spell?

"What did they say? I want exact words, no filter," Nathaniel looked at Pluto with a serious expression.

"Even I would like to hear what my ’daughter’ said," Azura appeared out of nowhere, and Nathaniel exhaled an irritated sigh.

That’s what he was trying to save themselves from.

Now that Azura knew Elliana was her daughter, she would use every opportunity to get into her life, and it wasn’t necessarily best for Elliana when he was trying to have her trained in a light witch school, not to mention how many witches would target Elliana because of Azura.

Nathaniel nodded at Pluto to continue speaking. It wasn’t like he had much choice either way.

"First, they mocked me and said if I think that I can look into what they are doing just because I know psychic powers, then I am a fool. The girl is theirs, and they intend to keep her innocence," Pluto said.

Azura looked at Nathaniel.

"Her powers are already building a possession on her, and you let it happen?" She asked.

Nathaniel glared at the witch before scoffing. Suddenly she has all the motherly instincts working, no?

"She is the daughter of two most powerful dark witches, what do you expect? She even got the fire of hell from father," Nathaniel rolled his eyes before he looked at Pluto again, urging him to continue.

Pluto looked at his feet again. How was he supposed to tell the next part?

"We don’t have all day, Pluto," Nathaniel said.

"It’s my fault. I told them she was supposed to know the truth sooner or later. I kind of yelled at them and asked if they were waiting for her to lose her emotions too. She is following the path of Azrael. Why can’t they see that?" Pluto said.

"What the hell did you say to her?" Azura was the one to speak this time.

Nathaniel looked at his friend, confused.

Azrael. This name, why does he feel like he has heard this name before? Judging from Azura’s loud reaction, it surely seems problematic.

"Who is this lady?" Nathaniel asked no one in particular.

Pluto looked at Azura, wanting to know if she was going to explain or if he should do the thing.

"Azrael Minerva, the only living witch in the world who maintained her sanity even after performing the dark spell that makes you lose all your emotions. You don’t feel pain either. She is our third sister," Azura said and Nathaniel immediately remembered where he heard this name.

Right. Was it Kadakali or Prakrith, who had asked him to find out about the tale of three sisters? He was so busy with everything that he never got the time to research the matter.

"Is she a dark witch too?" Nathaniel asked, and Azura sighed before walking to the window of the room.

"Neither a dark witch nor a light witch. She is the most powerful among us sisters because she uses both techniques equally efficiently," Azura said.

Nathaniel looked at her confused.

The more he was hearing about it, the more weird everything was becoming.

"But how is that possible? Didn’t your mother, I mean grandmother, divide the witches into two divisions with you guys? You practiced dark magic that’s why you became the queen of the dark witch world and Arizona practiced good magic. Everyone said I was the only special case among royals who were mixed breed because of inter-witch world marriage. Then how come she -"

"Pfft.. haha," Azura’s heartless chuckle stopped Nathaniel from speaking anything further.

Azura looked at the man who was also King Eros’s son, making him her son too, and smiled with coldness.

"All these years of being a witch, a mix-breed, didn’t you ever think something was wrong with the theory? If my mother had divided the kingdoms with us, where did your father, who was already a dark witch, come from? These worlds were divided long ago," Azura said before she took a deep breath.

"Nathaniel, son, you see, we all are living through the same fate. It’s not hidden that children suffer when their parents are evil and would do anything to keep their position and dignity in the world, even going as far as destroying their kids’ lives," Azura whispered, looking at the man in front of her with a sympathetic smile.

"Wasn’t this exactly what happened to you too? Though King Eros wasn’t evil, didn’t he abandon his own son because he wasn’t accepted by society? Something like that happened to us sisters too," Azura mumbled before she clicked her fingers, and a bottle of witch’s herbal wine appeared on the table.

"Would you like to hear the story of the three sisters? It’s about time at least you know the truth about your mother, your father, and everyone circling you," Azura said, making Nathaniel gulp as he didn’t know if he was ready for more truths or deal with more betrayals that might come with this truth.
