Chapter 359: Kidnapped by the beast

"Get lost, Marcello. I can’t be seen with you here," Elliana smiled bitterly before she started walking inside the hall, making Marcello breathe a sigh of relief.

At least she didn’t say she didn’t have anything to do with him. He looked towards his group of friends and scoffed.

He would rather have a frenemy like Elliana rather than backstabbing friends like them.

"What a pleasant surprise, Princess Elliana," Elliana heard a vaguely familiar voice.

She turned around to look into the eyes of the same man who recently joined their University to get an additional degree and was in the same class as hers.

"Oh, it’s you," Elliana said, bothered by the fact that he knew her but she had no idea who he was.

"It’s me. It’s quite surprising to see a human girl here. I wonder what her identity is to have all the royals wrapped around her little finger," the man said, leaning on the pillar.

Just like the previous times, his gaze was full of mysterious hatred towards her, hate that she didn’t recognize or understand.

It wasn’t the type of hate or ugly vibes that she got from the people who had been hired to hurt her in the past. This man felt primal hatred and anger towards her, and though his demeanor was calm, even her powers felt edgy around him.

Elliana hummed, not wanting to talk to him any longer and she turned around.

She was about to take another step when the man said again,

"It’s amazing how a few murderers live their lives and enjoy parties like it’s nothing, while the families of the dead suffer the most," The man’s ambiguous words froze Elliana in her place.

Was he talking about her? Or about all the people present here? Almost everyone in this hall was a murderer in one way or another. Some killed some rogues, some killed humans for blood and some even killed kins and friends to rise to power.

But why would he say this to her? Was he trying to hint her about who he was and why he was bothering her?

Elliana turned around and looked at the man before smiling.

"Indeed," she turned and walked to her friends, leaving the man seething with her lack of response and fear.

"There you are. I was nearly worried when the elder prince took you away and you got lost. Honestly, I thought some prince abducted you again," Melony held Elliana’s hand.

Elliana looked at her friends before smiling, her mind going to how she needed to leave these people who had accepted her when she left the kingdom.

"No one can abduct me when I have such concerning friends," Elliana smiled, her gaze shifting to Dexter, who smiled back at her softly.

He extended his hand to her, and she nodded.

Her work was done. She might as well enjoy the party.

Placing her hand on his, she let him lead her to the corner of the dance floor as everyone started to dance.

"You are hiding something. Something happened, right? The expression on your face has changed drastically," Dexter said before he moved her slowly, barely moving his hand as he didn’t want her to strain her neck or move too much.

"Will you always be my friend, Dexter?" She asked, her eyes looking at him with an earnest expression that he didn’t recognize.

"Always," Dexter turned her around so her back was facing him.

"I wouldn’t be able to leave you even if I wanted. You are my first friend, Elliana. You taught me what friendship and caring for someone or being cared for feels like. I lost myself to you the day you washed my wounded hand in that river when I got hurt from falling from the bike.

All you have to do is bring a girlfriend for me, even that Misha girl is fine as hell, and I am always your slave," Dexter added, and Elliana chuckled at his choice of words.

"Stupid," Elliana turned around, and she was about to place her hand on his shoulders when her hand was grabbed by someone, and she sighed.

What was with people grabbing her hand to make their presence known? Couldn’t they speak?

Elliana raised her gaze to meet the person.

"The partners changed," Alcinder shrugged as if he hadn’t planned anything.

Elliana gave him a tight-lipped smile.

"Ask away what you want," she said.

Alcinder hummed as he looked into her eyes, trying to gauge her reaction.

Of course, she would know he was only trying to dance with her because he wanted to talk to her alone without raising any suspicion.

"About what happened yesterday -"

"I am pursuing him, the prince. I challenged the prince that if I made him fall in love with me in a month, he would marry me.

Maybe it’s the first time someone dared to talk to him like that he made that accidental slip-up. You know my guardian is powerful, right? He knows him, and that’s why he isn’t so harsh with me and cares for my safety," Elliana lied smoothly through her lips.

Lucas who was standing right behind her looked at his prince who also heard her words, and both of them realized one thing.

Their princess was now turning into a professional liar.

"Pr-" Lucas was about to step ahead and call her to save her from answering anything else to the council’s head’s son when Sebastian stepped ahead and extended his hand in front of Elliana.

Alcinder froze when he felt the domineering presence behind him, his gaze moving to Elliana, whose gaze immediately turned colder, making him raise his brows.

Didn’t she say she was madly in love with him? Then what was this all about?

Or was it that she was playing hard to get? Alcinder nodded at her antics, feeling slightly uncomfortable.

The human girl he knew would never resort to such measures to get close to a prince. Elliana’s words and actions were greatly clashing, which made it clear that she was lying.

"Princess," Sebastian whispered when Elliana didn’t place her hand on his, and Elliana gulped.

Her gaze wavered, not because her resolution was breaking, but because his eyes were pitch red, indicating he was too blinded with whatever emotions he was feeling, and it wasn’t good to show any kind of tantrum at the moment.

However, it didn’t mean she was going to give up so easily either. She still wanted to retaliate.

"Prince Marino," Elliana whispered.

Lucas closed his eyes at the honorifics his princess used and shook his head before leaving the two alone.

Sebastian stared at her before he pulled her with a jerk, her body hitting his as he bent and looked straight into her eyes.

He smirked even more before he brought his face closer to hers and tilted his head.

"Call me with that name one more time, and I won’t hesitate to take you to a secluded corner of this venue and f*ck you senseless until all you know is to call me Sebastian," he whispered, making Elliana’s heart almost leap in her chest.

Her knees almost gave away and Sebastian snuck his hand around her waist, holding her close.

He sighed in her ears.

"I am sorry for what happened today. The doctor said you wouldn’t be able to come, and I wanted to use this opportunity to secure some more votes legally. And in that process, I hurt you. Please forgive me for that," Sebastian whispered as he lifted her and placed her feet on his foot with her head plastered on his chest.

Elliana scoffed at him.

"I know you are angry, and anyone in your position would, but that doesn’t mean you can do whatever you want," Sebastian added, and Elliana’s gaze started hardening again.

"And you can?" Elliana wanted to push him away as she placed her hands on his chest firmly, but Sebastian grabbed her hands in a tight grip before he bent and kissed her lips in front of everyone, making her widen her eyes.

His hand went to her hair, losing her bun as he clenched his fist in her hair, pressing her lips further into his mouth, kissing her senselessly with a passionate anger that made many of them look down in embarrassment.

People around them gasped, the loudest reaction from her friends who knew the girl behind the mask was their friend, Elliana.

Elliana moaned in displeasure as he tightened his grip on her waist and pulled her even closer.

"Here, this is your introduction as mine," Sebastian glared at her, making her match his gaze with her own glare.

"You -"

Sebastian didn’t let her continue her sentence when he placed his lips on her, ready to kiss her softly this time, but to his shock, Elliana bit his tongue, making him taste his own blood.

Sebastian pulled away, looking at her angered eyes.

He was angry, but it was clear she was more angry.

He kept looking at her for a few seconds before he chuckled, a cold dark chuckle that was enough to send shivers running down everyone’s spine.

They could feel the prince was angry, beyond angry.

Stephano who was talking to Santo about the Dukes who participated in the ball, turned around when he suddenly felt the dark vibes in the hall.

"What is happening?" Stephano asked no one in particular before he heard Sebastian’s cold laugh.

"The youngest masked prince kissed a girl, and she bit him in return," someone hushed, and Stephano looked in the direction before sighing.

Right. How could he forget about two more naughty kids in the ball that needed adult supervision?

"You messed up, Princess," Sebastian whispered before he bent and picked Elliana like a sack of potatoes, making her flail her legs.

"Oh my! Prince Stephano!" Elliana shouted for one person who she knew could fight her husband, but rather than helping her, he just kept looking at her with a helpless gaze.

"Leave me alone! I will shout for help from the king! You beast!" Elliana pounded Sebastian’s back while everyone looked at the girl in pity as if she was going to be sacrificed.
