The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 357: Add some spice

Chapter 357: Add some spice

It didn’t settle well with Sebastian.

He was angry. Scratch that. He was fuming.

And as weird as it sounded, he wasn’t angry at her for some unknown reason.

He was fuming at himself for not being able to take his woman’s hand when she was right in front of him.

He wouldn’t be lying if he said he kind of knew his Princess would rebel against him. That was what he had been seeing in these past few days.

She has started to show more emotions and express herself in more ways than when she arrived, something that he has started to like too.

He had many thoughts run inside his mind while he was talking to, or should he say, trying to talk to other dukes and royal vampires even when his mind was worrying about one woman who he left at home crying.

His heart ached when she asked him that question.

The amount of hurt in her voice when she assumed it to be true and the way she ran, everything made him want to rip someone’s heart out.

He guessed she wouldn’t talk to him, probably not eat, and not even sleep in the same bed as him. Weren’t these some of the few ways the wives showed their tantrums?

However, he was definitely surprised when he felt her presence in the hall.

He even thought he felt her because he missed her until his eyes finally met her cold ones.

To say he was shocked would be an understatement. His heart leaped in his chest at how enchanting she looked in that red dress and black mask.

Her usual doe eyes looked straight at him like a siren who had allured the deepest corner of his heart and shot it with a cupid’s arrow.

Only he knew how much control he had to keep himself in to prevent himself from walking to those stairs and making out with her senselessly until he was the only one she saw, thought, and spoke.

That was what his devil wanted. A complete takeover of her sanity.

And the moment Derek, or was that Dexter? Whoever that finance minister’s son was, the moment he grabbed his princess’s hand, the hand that should only be on his chest, feeling his heart and ruling over it, his devil had almost leaped out of his chest.

He was seconds away from ripping Brittany’s head off her body because she disturbed him by touching him.

She was quite daring tonight. Which he would have to deal with later.

If seeing his princess with that Dexter guy wasn’t enough, his brothers had to intervene too.

The way Marcus held her hand, Stephano kissed the back of it and then he even dared to hug her from behind, going as far as sniffing her neck, he wouldn’t lie, but he was minutes away from committing a sin of by beating his elder brother and live up to his name of being a monster.

Sniffing what belonged to him? His girl? His woman? The person he cares about the most? How dare he?

He wanted to break the hand that was holding hers when he grabbed his brother’s collar.

Sebastian wanted to do so much at that moment.

But... when Elliana held his hand and pushed him away, to say he was taken by surprise would be an understatement.

Her amber eyes that he has started to fall for, those eyes that were always full of one emotion or other were blank, as if she was done expressing them.

His heart had trembled when she had said that one syllable "don’t" with no emotions.

Sebastian would’ve been able to bear it if she had shown some kind of anger or sadness, but that emptiness.

He almost fell on his knees to do anything for her to show him some emotions, which was followed by an indescribable anger that was laced with possessiveness. He felt relieved seeing her anger that suddenly fueled something inside him and his resolution to not talk to her broke.

"Princess," he said called for her.

At least he knew she was angry with him. He was ready to do anything to appease her, but when she said...

"Go back to your woman, Prince Marino,"

It almost felt like she was cutting the ties between him, followed by her cold stare.

It was so hard to look away from her and not pull her head close to his face and kiss the anger out of her until she was only left with the love that he had started to worship and live for.

"Prince Sebastian, why don’t you -"

"Remove your hand from my hand,"

"Huh?" Brittany asked, surprised at the sudden coldness in his voice.

"The last time I checked, your ears were working just fine. So unless you want me to turn you into deaf, remove your hand from my elbow. I don’t want the smell of your perfume rubbing on me. My wife is possessive when it comes to smells," Sebastian looked at Brittany, tilting his head, and the girl immediately left his hand when she saw his fangs tracing out.

Brittany looked at the changed attitude of the man in front of her and gritted her teeth.

He was acting just fine earlier. Though he wasn’t exactly accepting her presence near him, because she was his partner, he didn’t reject her touch like this.

But now? After that human girl arrived, it was almost like he got possessed or something.

"You can’t talk to me like this, Prince -"

"Just for 100 votes, Brittany. The 100 votes that your father has under him. You know why I am standing by your side. So if you have a problem, go cry about it to your father. Do you think anyone can stop me from winning? I just want to do things the legal way, or I can surely pull that soft beating heart of yours just for glaring at my wife.

Just because I didn’t say anything, don’t ever think I don’t notice it. Everything about her, every gaze at her, I notice every single thing," Sebastian looked at Brittany.

"Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a wife to please," Sebastian nodded at her before looking around trying to find the rebellious woman who had stolen the show and his heart once again.

Now that he thinks about it, why was he feeling proud earlier when she glared at him? Something was definitely wrong with the way he perceived everything about her.

She was really turning into a queen, a queen who was ready to rule everyone by his side, no?

His kitten was growing and turning into a tigeress.

He sighed.

There was no way she came here alone. She didn’t even have the invitation card. And that red dress, where did that come from? Those red gloves, where did those come from? And why the hell did he want her to rake those gloved hands on his naked chest?

Sebastian cleared his throat before looking around, his gaze finally falling on the culprit of the night, the only person who could’ve brought her here.

"Lucas," Sebastian’s voice was cold as be stopped behind his subordinate.

Lucas who was talking to his friends immediately froze in his place.

He knew this would happen, but so soon?

Then again what exactly did he expect when Prince Stephano made their princess the center of attention?

Lucas gulped and turned around, his friends immediately leaving at the sight of the monster prince.

"I hope you have a good explanation for what you did today," Sebastian said.

He was ready to see his subordinate groveling and asking for forgiveness, but to his surprise, Lucas looked him in the eyes with unwavering confidence.

"I couldn’t see her crying. She wanted to come here and enjoy. And as her loyal subordinate and someone who respects her like a younger sister, I brought her here. I am sorry, but I am not heartless like you, Prince. You have no idea how much she cried, or what she told me today," Lucas gritted his teeth.

Sebastian narrowed his eyes. He knew Lucas wasn’t the type to lose his focus and control over his emotions so easily.

Out of all the people, Lucas very well knew why he didn’t bring her here, so for him to act against the doctor’s words, it must’ve been something severe.

"What did she say?" Sebastian asked, expecting the worst.

"I don’t know what she meant, but the way she was speaking, it felt like she had made up her mind to leave the palace. She has made up her mind to leave you after your crowning. She is done with you prioritizing the throne over her even when she keeps giving her all to you," Lucas deliberately added some spices to his words to make them more plausible and effective, even after knowing his princess would never say things like that.

Sebastian froze in his place, his gaze darkening to a shade of red that immediately warned Lucas to not add more oil to the fire.

"What exactly does that mean?" Sebastian asked, and Lucas shrugged before leaving, every step he was taking, making his heart beat rise.

He just hoped he didn’t overdo it. Lucas turned to look at his prince before praying to the moon goddess that things turn out just like they were before today.
