The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 351: If only she could tell

Chapter 351: If only she could tell

Elliana opened her eyes, her vision clearer than before and her hearing ability even better than what she remembered.

She blinked her eyes, the events of the shop crashing back to her, making her realize that she would have died if Mr. Marino hadn’t shown up.

She sighed.

She moved her hands a bit, feeling every sense of her skin strongly.

It was obvious her body was under major changes while she was unconscious.

Was it because of the blood Mr. Marino gave to her? Or was it because her powers became even more powerful?

That witch.

That witch was there again. She also played a major role in saving her.

This was the third time she came and saved bed out of some kind of situation.

According to what her husband said, she was probably the queen of the dark witches. It was quite intriguing, keeping in mind that the witch has been coming to meet her quite often than deemed normal.

What did the queen of the dark world probably want from her?

From what she has found out so far, she has understood that apart from Nathaniel and the witches he introduces to her, no witch is worthy of her trust, despite how good they appear and portray themselves as.

Everyone appears near her with an evil intention in mind.

Elliana looked at the wide squared light on the false ceiling of the room and took a shaky breath.

The witches were showing around her even more now that she was admitted to the University and was mingling with them.

She would be summoned for training quite often too. This was a great chance.

It would be better if she warned her husband that she was a witch, and he would be seeing lots of witches around her.

She had been thinking of delaying the decision because she only wanted to be seen as a human until they parted ways, but after seeing what happened today, Elliana knew it wasn’t good for either of them.

Mr. Marino didn’t like anyone touching her. His reaction was quite loud when that witch tried to grab her hand only to inspect her. His devil side was almost taking over him and -

A small smile appeared on Elliana’s lips as she remembered how he held her in his arms. It wasn’t romantic.

Anyone in her shoes would think that he was quite manipulative and controlling, but for her, who has realized this was his language of care, and how he suffers a lot in showing his emotions the right way, it was a declaration of a sense of belongingness.

Whenever he screams that she was his or she belonged to him, it always feels like he was indirectly declaring that he was taken and belonged to her only.

Elliana blinked her eyes, her ears perking when she heard the sound of shoes clicking on the floor that were nearing her room.

Her senses were indeed sharpening.

Her heart raced unknowingly. It was as if she knew it was her husband even before he entered and showed her his face.

Mr. Marino would have a lot of questions about her identity and why the witches hover around her, and for once, she was ready to answer all of them.

No more lies. No more hiding of truths.

Elliana took a deep breath, placing her hand on her raging heart which was beating fast with excitement.

"Yes, I will inform you about what to do next. Keep him occupied till then. No. Don’t let him know -" Sebastian opened the door, his words freezing in his mouth when he heard the sound of the familiar heart pacing so fast

He raised his gaze to the bed in the middle of the room, his eyes meeting with his wife, who was already looking at him.

"I will talk to you later," Sebastian said on the phone before ending the call.

He walked to her in large unhurried steps, his own heart increasing its pace.

She was awake.

She was finally awake after being unconscious for 18 hours. He felt a weird relief in his heart.

"You are finally awake," Sebastian whispered to her, his voice though cold, full of care, and Elliana gave him a small smile.

"I am -" She couldn’t complete her sentence when Sebastian placed his lips on her forehead, stopping her from speaking.

"Don’t ever scare me like that. Or I will kill you with my bare hands," Sebastian threatened her, and Elliana chuckled lowly, wincing in pain when his neck throbbed with ache, making Sebastian pull away.

"Your neck is still quite critically wounded. It will take some time for it to heal with the help of the medicines. Though the doctor has recommended a few tonics, you will be taking infusions of my blood to heal faster," Sebastian said, sitting on the chair beside her bed, holding her hand in his.

"Your blood?" She looked at him innocently.

"Yes, my blood -" Sebastian started, but paused when he noticed the predatory look in her eyes.

He was shocked to see his innocent and naive princess looking at him like that.

"What are you thinking?!" He exclaimed in disbelief.

"What am I thinking?" She asked, blinking her eyes innocently.

"You are thinking about biting my neck to take that blood, aren’t you?" Sebastian narrowed his eyes, and Elliana looked down at her lap softly before raising her gaze to meet his eyes again.

"It’s amazing how well you know me, no?" She asked, and Sebastian squared his jaws.

He swears he hasn’t bitten this girl enough times than how much she bites him. It feels like a cat was her spirit animal or something.

Her biting kink was way overbroad, and surprisingly a kind of turn-on he didn’t know existed.

"You are turning really shameless," Sebastian commented before pouring some water for her to take her medicines.

He was about to pull the drawer to take out the medicine when she suddenly grabbed his hand, making him pause.

"And do you not like it? Should I go to someone -" Elliana couldn’t even complete her sentence when Sebastian pulled her up and forced his lips on hers, biting her bottom lips, making her wince as he drew her blood.

Everything happened so fast that her head nearly swayed, and she lost her trail of thoughts and vision.

He kissed her aggressively, moving his lips with a passion to let her know how much he missed her and how worried he had been for her in the last 20 hours. He sucked the blood from her lips, making her curl her toes and moan in displeasure when her neck started to hurt.

Sebastian immediately paused when he realized, that he hurt his princess in his aggression, and was about to pull back when to his surprise, she placed her hand on the nape of his neck and pulled him back so he was half hugging her.

"I was scared," she whispered, a tear rolling down the corner of her eyes.

Sebastian sighed.

He wrapped his hands around her and kissed her cheeks before peppering soft kisses all over her face.

"Everything is alright, Cara. I told you I won’t let anything happen to you, didn’t I?" He cupped her cheeks, and Elliana nodded.

"There’s actually something I want to tell you. About that witch Azura who was there -"

"Let’s not talk about her. I am really in a good mood because you opened your eyes and put my heart at ease. Let’s not talk about people I hate, yeah?" Sebastian asked, flicking her nose, freezing her.

"You hate?" She asked, her heart trembling at his choice of words.

"Yes, I hate all those witches. That woman you met, I am sure she was there to hurt you. Her mother was the one who cursed my mom all because my mom laughed at her failed attempt at magic.

This... this inability to drink human blood and only survive on the vampire blood, turning me a villain for my own species, it’s all thanks to that damned witch.

That’s why I hate them with a passion. They are the reason I am always feared, and my own family doesn’t love me enough to keep me by their side," Sebastian gritted his teeth.

Elliana looked at the hatred in his eyes before humming.

Another tear rolled down the corner of her eyes. She suddenly felt helpless.

He hates witches. He hates dark witches. They were the reason he was suffering so much.

First, she was a human, a species, who took away his mother, then she turned out to be a witch, a species, who took away his ability to be called normal and turned him into a monster and unloved.

Elliana smiled, another tear falling from her eyes as she felt her heart clogging at the thought of him hating her forever.

Was this her fate? Maybe they were never supposed to be together? And that was why everything she was and was turning into was sowing an invisible discord between them.

"Don’t worry. I won’t mention her or any witch again," Elliana whispered a silent promise to herself to keep her identity hidden until they parted ways.

It would already be painful when she had to leave but to think she would have to bear with his hatred too? No. She won’t be able to live with that.

"It’s good. Now eat these medicines," Sebastian wiped her tears, and Elliana smiled softly again before nodding.

Just 26 more days. Elliana chanted in her head, clenching her hand around the bedsheet under the blanket.
