Chapter 317: Blind trust or blind care? What is better?

Chapter 317: Blind trust or blind care? What is better?

Sebastian opened the door of the hospital room in haste, his gaze immediately falling on the girl who was sleeping soundly.

He looked at the bandage cast on her foot and the pillows that were on either side of her, probably to restrict her movement. He heaved a sigh of relief when he noticed it wasn’t anything too severe.

"Wait outside," Sebastian said to Lucas, who nodded at his sir and stood outside the room, guarding the door.

As he was doing so, his gaze fell on the room which was two rooms away from the Princess’s room. He noticed the girl who was actually destined to be the Prince’s real bride, walked out of the room with the council head’s son.

"I can’t believe you are still siding with that bitch and her people, Aditya. Prince Vincenzo or whoever that man was, how dare he slap me?? How can you ignore it as my fiance? Shouldn’t you have done something? But no. You were standing there gawking at Elliana. That bitch!" Madeline was cussing, and Lucas narrowed his eyes.

It looks like Prince Vincenzo was here too, and they had a scene with this princess. But what was he doing here? Was he for some work or because he wanted to meet a princess? But how come he knew -

Until the princess called him. Lucas nodded in understatement before looking at the girl in front of him with a scowl.

How dare this girl curse his princess? This ugly-looking woman! Thank God, their prince didn’t marry an ugly character like her.

Lucas looked in front proudly, extending his leg slightly, right when Madeline walked past him, making her stumble forward as she fell.

"You!" Madeline shouted in pure anger, but Lucas looked down with a neutral expression.

"You should see where you are walking," Lucas said.

Madeline’s face turned red in anger, and she was about to retort when Aditya held her hand and jerked her up forcefully.

"I told you to keep your mouth shut, didn’t I? Now will you help me out, or should I really ask Elliana for help again? Just like how she saved my life today," Aditya said, and Madeline squared her jaws before she held Aditya’s hand to lead him out.

Inside the room, Sebastian sat on the bed and caressed Elliana’s hair softly before he took off his mask. He has been wearing a full mask and forgot to bring the half-face one in a hurry.

He placed his lips on her forehead, staying there for a few seconds.

"Mmm," Elliana moaned when she felt some pressure, but Sebastian didn’t leave her.

"It’s me, Princess. I am here. Everything is fine," Sebastian whispered to her, and Elliana was about to open her eyes when she felt his nose rubbing across her cheeks before she felt his eyelashes and soft breathing. She froze in her place for a few seconds.

She raised her hand to touch his face, and when her hand met with his rough subtle, she traveled her fingers softly, touching his eyes, and sighed.

She was right. He wasn’t wearing a mask.

"You can open your eyes if you want to. I want you to look at me," Sebastian whispered into her ears, longing clear in his voice, and Elliana smiled softly.

"Do you trust me? Do you trust me enough to never question anything I do? That blind trust that counters all right and wrong in your eyes?" Elliana asked softly.

"Does blind care without caring what is wrong and right counts?" He asked, and Elliana sighed.

"There is no meaning to love or care if there is no trust. However, I am happy that you stated it yourself this time and invited me. I am glad you are moving forward towards me. Maybe I’ll get to see your face with all the trust at least once before leaving?" Elliana said, and Sebastian sighed.

He has noticed it.

These days, every time they share an intimate moment, she brings up this topic between them sooner or later. It’s like in her mind she was already clear that he would leave her, and though he was still contemplating his decision, it didn’t mean he liked to hear it.

"Can you tell me what happened?" Sebastian placed his mask back on his face, and Elliana nodded before she sat with his help.

She told him everything about how she found Aditya lying near the lake and what those guards said.

Sebastian’s gaze stayed neutral the entire time.

"And why didn’t you believe them? Do you think I am not capable of that?" Sebastian cupped her cheeks.

It looks like these vampires really have an obsession with cupping her cheeks or face.

"You are perfectly capable of that, Mr. Marino. But I also know that you won’t break my heart before leaving me. You will break me that day, and it will be for once and all.

More than that, I don’t know how you are to the world, to me you are the most handsome gentleman I have ever met. There is no way you would allow your men to call me that," Elliana smiled at him, not a single hint of malice or doubt in her eyes, and Sebastian sighed.

"You do realize it’s not good to trust someone so blindly," Sebastian turned around to face the other side, feeling guilty.

He felt guilty because of how much she trusted him. If it had been his family, even they wouldn’t have trusted him and probably thrown him out of the palace like the last time he was framed and bashed with 100 whippings when he wasn’t even at fault.

"I can die for you blindly, this is just my trust for you, Mr. Marino," Elliana whispered, without looking up, and Sebastian’s heart squeezed painfully.

"Close your eyes, Princess," Sebastian said.

"Hm?" She asked, confused.

"Close them, or I’ll remove my mask, and you will have to see my face whether I trust you or not," Sebastian said, and he noticed how she shut her eyes immediately.

He couldn’t believe he would be the one saying this sentence one day. He didn’t kiss her like he was planning to, rather he took off his mask and placed her hand on his cheeks, leaning in the touch of her soft hands.

"Teach me how to trust you blindly, Princess. Help me and teach me so that I can -" One day say that I can die for you too. Sebastian didn’t complete the sentence, and Elliana smiled.

She tried to move and get closer to him, but her cast stopped her from doing so, and when she tried again, she fell to the side, her face landing on his lap that he barely held in time, making him sigh.

"Mmmm, screw," she groaned in pain, and he helped her up.

"I know you are dying to make love to me, but that will have to wait, my Cara," Sebastian said, loving the blush on her cheeks.

"You don’t have to worry about anything. Thank you for trusting me enough. I will find out who those people are for you and give them a death they will remember even after three rebirths," Sebastian promised the princess before he placed his forehead on hers.

"And next time you get into a problem, I hope I am the first one you call because if I heard you call someone else, I’ll fuck you so hard that it surely becomes a problem when you won’t be able to move for more than a week and no cast will be able to help you at that time," Sebastian whispered into her ears before he placed a sloppy kiss on her neck, making her body tingle with desire.

"Let’s get you home and then I’ll give in to your insatiable hunger, and by hunger, I don’t mean this-" Sebastian placed his hand on her stomach.

"I meant this," He cupped her p*ssy from above her hospital gown, and she jerked at the sensation, making him smile.

His sweet Cara.

And someone dared to touch her. They shall die. He gritted his teeth, picking her in his arms.
