Chapter 234: Got caught or not?

Elliana climbed the pipes skillfully as if she was a pro at this, and Alcinder looked at her in awe as he was standing at some distance to ensure he would be able to hold her if she fell, but the way she jumped and climbed it like a monkey, it almost looked like this was her daily job.

Once she was up and entered one of the corridors through the window, Alcinder took a deep breath and hid behind one of the big walls to hide and be ready if Elliana got into some kind of problem.

Wait.

Alcinder narrowed his brows.

He had decided that he wouldn’t let her go to that risky place and would go in her place, right? How the hell did things turn out to be like this? He was so focused on how skillfully Elliana was doing everything that he forgot the part where he had decided that she shouldn’t be doing this.

What the hell was wrong with him?! How can he be so distracted with everything? She was a human who had entered the enemy’s den to save a girl. And what the hell was he doing? He was standing here, waiting for her to return after completing her mission as if he were some kind of obedient wife of hers. Alcinder gritted his teeth. He felt useless as the more he thought about it, the angrier he became at himself.

Alcinder turned around, contemplating if he should go towards the front of the building and do something to help Elliana or wait for her in case something happened.

Meanwhile, Elliana, who entered the corridor, hid behind the wall, her demeanour changing completely as she clenched her hand around the dagger and took off its cover, ready to attack just everyone who would come in her way.

She took a deep breath and started walking towards the interior of the corridors. Though it was a small building, there were still 4-5 rooms on each floor.

She was on the third floor. There were a total of five in this building. She was sure they wouldn’t keep the girl on the first or the top floor. Thus, these three were the ones with the highest rate of the girl being here.

As she was passing by one of the rooms, she saw two people in uniform walking towards her, and she gulped, trying her best to keep her heartbeat calm.

"You heard about it? It’s the royal party today," one of them said, and Elliana’s ears perked.

"I know, right? A royal party is always a piece of bad news for everyone. They don’t treat him nicely, and then his mood turns colder than before, and the rest we all know," The other man said as they walked away.

Elliana wanted to hear more about what they were talking about, and who this person was, but right it wasn’t the most important thing on her mind.

She walked towards one of the rooms, hiding behind a pillar, when she heard some whimpering sound from one of the rooms.

Luck was on her side. They have captured and placed Natasha on this floor.

She walked to the fourth room sneakily, and when she noticed no one in the room, she entered the room before rushing towards the balcony. She jumped on the balcony to see if she could reach the second room adjacent to it. It was hard and risky, but not impossible.

Elliana jumped on the balcony, and Alcinder, who was about to call her, looked at her jumping on the balcony and stopped at the last moment.

He saw how she sat down behind the railing, looking inside the room sneakily through the window, not even caring that one wrong move and she would land on the ground. Though it wasn’t something too hard for vampires, it was the cleanliness with which she, a human, did it.

"Mmmmm!" "Mmmmmmm!" "Mmmmmm!"

Elliana saw Natasha struggling against the ropes, with some drops of blood on the ground, and her heart twisted painfully.

’Just a few more minutes, Nat. I will save you. You don’t have to be helpless for long,’ Elliana thought.

"Have you lost your mind, you stupid girl? I understand you don’t want your leader to come here and get caught, but this is the option you have resorted to. What kind of group is this? Is your leader forcing you into this? That girl’s voice didn’t seem like it. So why were you doing it? Do you think your life isn’t worthy enough?" The man shouted at Natasha.

"Mmmmmm!" Natasha screamed with big tearful eyes, and Elliana observed the things on the ground.

The room was practically a mess. It was hard to decipher what happened here. However, when her gaze fell on the broken vase on the ground and the sharp piece in that man’s hand with drops of blood, Elliana could make out some of what this man was talking about.

Elliana froze in its place momentarily when realization dawned upon her, but that wasn’t the thing that shocked her.

It was the emblem in the man’s uniform that caught her eye.

The black skull.

The infamous emblem that she has seen so many times that she has lost count of it.

She was here with the thought of killing anyone and everyone who would come in her path to save her girls, but how can she kill her man’s men?

Wait. If these were Mr Marino’s men, then could it be that the reason they called and threatened her to come here was because -

Elliana gulped when things started to become clear for her. Everything made sense now.

Why was Natasha suddenly kidnapped even when her girls always try to be as secretive and hidden as they can, Glow wasn’t telling her anything about it, the reason that the leader wanted to see her, why they threatened to touch Natasha, but were the ones who were trying to save her too, everything made sense to Elliana.

Everything was planned. Their intention was never to keep Natasha here, torture or touch her. They wanted to meet her, the leader of the black angel wings. Elliana gritted her teeth.

It all happened because of her. She sighed and placed the dagger back inside its holder. She can’t use this dagger on Mr Marino’s men.

No. She can’t hurt her one group of people to save her other group of people. Everyone was dear to her.

Elliana gulped, feeling highly contemplated.

She closed her eyes and leaned on the railing, confusing Alcinder, who was observing her.

’What the hell was this girl doing wasting time like this? Did something happen? Is it because she is scared? Are there too many people in the room, and she thinks she won’t be able to bear it?" Alcinder thought and rushed behind the window, ready to climb the pipes and help her out, when he saw her standing and sneaking inside the balcony

"Simon! Quickly! Someone saw Marcello! That duke is here. We need to catch him," Someone shouted out of the room.

The man with Natasha looked at her tied hands and thought it would be okay to leave her alone for some time. Catching Marcello was also important for them.

They have been looking for that man for some days now.

When Elliana noticed the man was about to rush out, she decided to wait on the balcony for some seconds.

Yes. That’s what his plan was. Marcello’s plan was indeed working. Once this man goes out of there, she would rush inside and free Natasha immediately.

Elliana nodded at the plan in her mind, smiling when the man opened and closed the door behind him. She was ready to go and save her girl now.

However, as soon as she placed her foot inside the room, the man who was about to leave behind everyone to look for Marcello opened the door and looked straight into her eyes.

Judging from the look he was giving her, he probably sensed her presence earlier, and everything he did was a facade. Elliana closed her eyes as she realized she just walked into his trap because of her hastened planning.

"I knew someone was here. The fuck are you?" the man asked, and Elliana immediately rushed to him, making him do the same as he was ready to attack the girl who was intruding their plans.

It was clear from her attire and the way she was hiding herself and her presence at the same time as they had called that girl that this was probably the leader of this so-called cult. It was really brave of her to think she would be able to sneak this girl out without anyone knowing about it. The man chuckled before raising his hand at her.
