Chapter 174: Something terrible might happen

"Are you enjoying the night view in shame?" Boston walked to Gabrielle.

"Shame? What is that supposed to mean?" She narrowed her eyes.

"Well, the trip is about to be over now, and seeing how you have still not come up with an idea to take your revenge, I thought you were drowning in shame alone like that sun is drowning in the sea," Boston smirked, and Gabrielle took a puff from her cigar before looking at the birds flying at some distance.

She just wanted to enjoy the scenery of the fading island. But this man was surely making her mood sour again by reminding her about something that she wanted to keep for later.

"I haven’t forgotten about it. And whether I am drowning in shame or smiling in delight, it shouldn’t be a matter of concern to you," Gabrielle said.

She turned towards the other side of the pool where Elliana walked out of her room after putting her stuff back.

Wearing a linen dress that reached her below knees, she looked like an angel.

The girl was smiling innocently, and from the way she was talking and walking, it didn’t look like she was the same human who was unable to move yesterday.

So she was good at taking pain.

But was she similarly good at taking humiliation too? Gabrielle smirked.

"She is an innocent young girl, no?" Gabrielle asked, and Boston followed her line of sight before humming.

"What do you think is most precious to a young innocent girl? Something that she won’t be able to bear with if she loses," Gabrielle asked.

"I don’t know. A loving person dear to her heart?" Boston asked even when he knew the answer and what Gabrielle was talking about.

"That’s bullshit. It’s her innocence and her dignity. She is so innocent, no? She can bear all kinds of pain and stands after falling too, but will she be able to bear it if she is rendered naked on a ship of more than 30 grown adult men, who have a good sexual desire?" Gabrielle smirked before extinguishing her cigar in the ashtray and placing it on the counter.

"What are you thinking of doing?" Boston raised his brows. It was quite unexpected, but he won’t deny it and say he didn’t like the idea.

This might not break the girl and render her beaten black and blue like Madeline wanted, but it was even better because after being humiliated like this, the girl might never turn up to the University. Isn’t that Madeline’s ultimate goal?

Besides, he will get to see such an explicit scene too. Maybe if he gets over his desire for Madeline, he might go for this human girl.

"You don’t have to be so concerned about that," Gabrielle licked her bottom lip, her gaze raking Elliana’s body hungrily.

Meanwhile, Elliana, who was standing near the railing, looked at Gabrielle when she felt someone’s stare, and just like she had thought, the girl was indeed looking at her.

But what the hell was her problem? She sighed and looked at Samantha who was talking to her.

"Are you sure you are okay? Are your knees hurting too much?" Samantha asked Elliana, genuine concern on her face, and Elliana hummed.

Even though her knees were healed, she still had bandages wrapped around her knees and the wounds so that no one suspects anything. Only higher-class vampires, especially royals can heal someone’s wounds, and it would’ve been hard to explain who was the high-class vampire around her.

"I think I’ll survive. I am sorry that your trip got ruined because of me," Elliana looked at them apologetically, and Melony rolled her eyes.

"Why are you apologizing? Shouldn’t we be apologizing because we couldn’t take better care of you? The trip got ruined because of the weather, which I am sure is not your fault," Melony said, and Elliana smiled forcefully and looked down at her feet.

If only they knew the truth, she wouldn’t be saying these things. The trip indeed got ruined because she cried.

"Uhhh, what is with the sad atmosphere? We are going back home and not to some mourning ceremony. It’s a trip that ended well. It’s not like we can’t plan a trip again. We can always go to some other place during vacations," Daniel said, and everyone cheered with him.

Alcinder, on the other hand, sat on his chair, looking at his phone where his father was asking him about how his relationship with Samantha progressed.

He turned off his phone and took a sip of his beverage, looking at the group that was chatting happily.

Samantha was a beautiful girl with little to no flaws. She was classy, full of etiquette, someone who knows when to be sassy and when to be polite, who respects elders and shows love to youngsters, not to mention how she effortlessly keeps every annoying girl away from him.

She would make an excellent girlfriend and wife.

He didn’t hate her. In fact, before entering college, Samantha was his ideal girl. Someone he would like to have as a girlfriend and flaunt around, but everything changed when their family started interjecting in.

He didn’t like it.

Was he not doing enough by sacrificing his time, dreams, and passion as the council head’s son that now he has to have a love interest according to them too? It was their interjection that was making him stay wary of Samantha even when he wanted her in the first place. He scoffed, his gaze turning to Elliana.

Nothing was good about this human girl. Not only was she rude, insolent, disrespectful towards him, disobeying, and a trouble magnet, but apart from her beauty, she had no qualities whatsoever.

However, even after all these problems with her, he still finds himself drawn toward her like she was some kind of Siren.

Wasn’t that what the legend says about them? The beauty of a siren can’t be matched, and no matter how good of control you have over your mind and heart, you are bound to fall for them when you see them.

Elliana was just like that species. A siren. Probably she was a siren in disguise. Alexander scoffed at his own thoughts.

Why is he blaming the girl for something she didn’t even do? He shook his head and stood from his place before walking to the railing side.

He took another sip of his drink before turning to his left when he felt a weird sensation. Why does he feel like something bad is about to happen?

He doesn’t know if he makes a perfect future council head, but his senses about such things have always been very sharp.

But what could go wrong? He looked at the sea, which wasn’t raging either before he swept his gaze on everyone. Everything seemed perfectly fine.

Then what could it be? Alcinder took a deep breath, keeping his gaze on his group of friends so that he could ensure at least they are safe if not the rest of the ship.

He was about to take another sip from his bottle when he realized it was empty.

With a deep sigh, he walked to the table to pick up another bottle.

Thud. A weird sound echoed on the ship before the lights went out.

"Hey! What happened?!" a few people started shouting as it was becoming hard to see even with their vampire vision.

"Elliana, shit. She wouldn’t be able to see anything," Daniel walked to her and was about to grab her hand when someone pushed him away.

"Watch out!" Daniel groaned at the hit.

Alcinder stood straight, ready to call the captain, and it was exactly when he heard it.

"Aaaa!! Elliana! Watch out!"

It was Samantha’s scream, and a deafening sound of something falling in the water echoed.
