Chapter 159: Elliana will make the poison

"So?" Sebastian looked at the girl.

"So?" She looked at him, confused about what he was trying to say.

"Shall I make you remember what exactly you did before passing out on me?" Sebastian stepped ahead.

"I don’t think it must be so important that you need to remind me, Mr. Marino," Elliana looked away, feeling shy under his intense gaze.

"Oh, you have no idea, Princess. It was important. Very important," he whispered before raising his hand and cupping her neck.

"You have a great talent for awakening my monster, but it’s saddening how you don’t put him back to sleep. Don’t you think it will become a problem for others if my monster is always awake?" Sebastian looked at her lips before traveling his gaze to her neck and then back to her eyes which were blinking at him innocently.

"I... I... I am sorry. I didn’t mean to tear that shirt. It’s just, I didn’t like how that girl touched you and -"

"So you indeed remember it," Sebastian smiled under his mask before taking a deep breath and placing his forehead on hers.

"One of these days you are going to force me to change my mask into something new that will leave my mouth open all the time just so that I can taste you whenever I want," Sebastian whispered.

Hot. That’s what Elliana felt immediately after he said those words. Her neck, ears, face, everything burnt as she blushed hard at his choice of words.

"I... I... -" Elliana bit her lips before taking a shaky breath.

"I won’t mind that," She whispered, and Sebastian smiled under his mask.

"I know, princess. I am well aware," He smirked before pulling back enough to look into her eyes as he pulled her closer, making her chest collide with his.

"I can’t wait for this trip to be over," Sebastian sighed.

Elliana hummed. She understands that his work was constantly compromised because he has to play bodyguard with her. It was all her fault.

"I am sorry. It’s all because of me. If I hadn’t said I wanted to come here, you wouldn’t have to waste your time like this," Elliana whispered.

Sebastian placed his finger under her chin, raising her head slightly.

"Don’t apologize for something that’s not your fault. And stop acting scared of me. Don’t be so considerate either.

My sweet princess, you have no idea what kind of emotions you provoke inside a man when you act like this. I hope I won’t have to remind you exactly what I have in mind for you," Sebastian rubbed her bottom lip before placing his hand over her eyes.

However, like always, he didn’t take off his mask. He didn’t kiss her.

Rather, he placed his forehead on his hand over her eyes.

"I want to ruin you, Princess. The devil inside me wants to eat you, and I am not talking about the literal meaning. So don’t be so innocent to me. It provokes me.

I am trying my best to control this beast inside me because I know once it’s out, I don’t think you’ll be able to rest for a few nights," Sebastian paused, Elliana’s heart skipping a beat at his insinuation.

"So next time you think tearing my shirt and owning me is a good decision, be ready to bear the consequences too," Sebastian whispered, his voice controlled.

Elliana didn’t need to be told twice what exactly he was talking about, and the thought of him going down on her and doing it with her, made her gulp, her heart beating at the pace of a bullet train.

It didn’t help that she was not able to look into his eyes because of his hand over her eyes, but in a way, she was thankful too.

She doesn’t think she would’ve been able to look into his eyes after this announcement. He didn’t want to threaten her like this.

Her heart was beating so fast and her breathing was ragged.

Why the f*ck did he do that?

Sebastian sighed. He didn’t want his words to come out like this.

He pulled himself away and removed his hand from her eyes.

He didn’t know what to say anymore as a strange feeling started taking over his heart and mind. What was it? Why was it making him feel sad? Was it guilt?

Elliana, on the other hand, opened her eyes gently, looking straight into his piercing eyes, feeling giddy for some reason.

"I didn’t mean to threat -"

"I like you, Mr. Marino," Elliana confessed, and Sebastian paused.

"I like you a lot. Like, I really really like you. Thank you for controlling your beast/ monster or whatever it is around me. It must be hard for you too. I respect that you care for me so much. Thank you for being so considerate. But -"

Elliana raised her hands and cupped his face between her hands gently.

"But?"

"You are not a monster, Mr. Marino. You never will. At least for me," Elliana smiled at him, before raising herself and pulling him down a little so that she could kiss his forehead, and he sighed when his heart skipped a beat again.

If only she knew that Mr. Marino she was blindly trusting just came back after brutally murdering a witch, she wouldn’t be saying this. Sebastian sighed before nodding.

"If you want to change, you can. It’s almost lunchtime. You must be hungry. Let me take you there before we have to go back to the ship, okay?" Sebastian asked, and without waiting for a reply, he left the room, making Elliana sigh.

She took a deep breath before laying flat on the bed, her heart still drumming in her heart.

After waiting for a few seconds, she picked up the phone from her nightstand before dialing Marcello’s number.

"This is surprising. To what honor did I receive a call from Miss Elliana?" Marcello asked, and Elliana rolled her eyes at his exaggeration.

"So I heard the royals are looking for you?" Elliana asked, her earlier facade changing as she went back into business mode.

"Well, I am indeed in some kind of problem. Things have been peachy on my side. How do you know that? Don’t tell me you have called me to mock me," Marcello said, and Elliana hummed.

"That, and because I want to help you," She looked at her nails with a smirk.

"Help me? Why would you do that?" Marcello raised his brows.

"Because I won’t get such a good business partner among Vampire’s Dukes again. I can’t just trust anyone. It’s better than having your annoying ass around me than finding another leech who might become a problem for me," Elliana’s voice was cold, and Marcello chuckled at her choice of words.

"Girl, you really don’t respect me at all, no? It’s funny how I rule the black market, but you call me a leech straight to my face just like that.

Your hatred towards vampires is appalling given how you deal with them daily. I wonder if you have some similar plans for your team too," Marcello chuckled humorlessly, but when he didn’t get any reply from Elliana he sobered up.

"Help me. Please," he said, and she sighed.

"I have a place that I bought long ago. The owner of the place is a human elder couple. Don’t dare to hurt them. You can go and hide in that place for some time. Tell them you are a friend of Elliana. They’ll ask you for a passcode.

I’ll tell you the passcode when you’ll be there. That place is between a flower field. It will be hard for anyone to trace your scent. Don’t tell anyone about it if you want to be safe. Don’t trust your men either," Elliana said, and Marcello hummed.

"Thanks for helping me. In this time when all the vampire Dukes who have been dealing with me too, stepped back when they heard the royals are looking for me, you are the only person who stepped forward to help me. I will always remember this," Marcello whispered, and Elliana smiled.

"This help doesn’t come for free. I want you to take care of the black market in the future too. But for now, lay low. I will meet you in a week. Let’s discuss things. Also -"

Elliana paused before biting her lower lip.

"I am ready to make it. That vampire-killing poison, I am ready to make it," Elliana whispered, and Marcello couldn’t help but raise his brows.

"So you have finally made up your mind? Can I know what compelled you to do so?" He asked.

Honestly, he didn’t expect her to answer. She never answers questions that are out of business.

He was about to ask her if she wanted to say something else when she answered.

"I might be falling in love," Elliana closed her eyes.

"What the hell? Wait. What does it have -"

"I might be falling in love with a vampire, Marcello," Elliana said, and though her voice was still soft and that of an angel, Marcello shuddered at the insinuation in her words.

She is making a poison just because she is calling in love with a Vampire? Does she hate vampires so much that she wants to kill the person she is falling in love with?

Marcello gulped before looking at the phone as the call ended.

Meanwhile, Elliana smiled thoughtfully.

"Since you are being so considerate to me, Mr. Marino. Let me be considerate of you too. Let me kill everyone who stands against you," Elliana sighed before smiling at the words he said to her.

He wants to ruin her? She wasn’t sure if he would be able to ruin an already ruined
