"Not fully awake yet?"

A clear and familiar voice suddenly rang out close by, tinged with a bit of depth, like a small brush inadvertently sweeping past her ear, eliciting a tingling sensation.

Caught off-guard, Tang Shu stood and walked to the floor-to-ceiling windows on the second floor to look down, accurately spotting a tall and upright figure.

Jing Yu was dressed in a white shirt and black pants, his collar open revealing his Adam’s apple and collarbone, his hair less impeccably styled than usual, with short strands fluttering in front of his forehead, adding a touch of rebellion to the disarray.

At the moment, he was looking up towards her direction, his dark eyes focused on her with concentration.

Tang Shu’s eyes flickered before she said after a pause, "Okay."

After a quick wash-up, she chose a white sweater and came downstairs, and upon opening the door, she saw Jing Yu waiting on the lawn, also noticing a faint dark circle beneath his eyes.

Tang Shu took another look at Jing Yu’s somewhat professional attire, feeling an increasing sense of incongruity.

"Have you been busy with work lately?"

Jing Yu was taken aback, glanced down at himself, and then looked up with a sparkle in his eyes, "No, I’ve been overseas handling some affairs recently and just got back last night."

Tang Shu hesitated for a moment.

Jing Yu looked around and asked, "Where’s your assistant?"

He had been there a few minutes and had not seen the young girl who usually greeted him.

"She’s still on holiday, and I just got back yesterday, didn’t have the chance to notify her."
