Chapter 261: Chapter 260 Miss Jun Li, Maintain Your Dignity
As she passed by the training ground, Qu Tong could still hear the soldiers discussing her recent sparring with Feng Lin.
"Miss Jun Li is truly a female hero. I’ve never seen any woman that amazing," one soldier said with full admiration for the strong.
"It’s a pity they didn’t determine a winner. I wonder whether our battalion commander is stronger or Miss Jun Li is slightly more formidable," another soldier expressed with a hint of regret.
"Didn’t the commander say that Miss Jun Li’s spiritual power wasn’t in good condition? That probably means she wasn’t at full strength. To fight to a draw with our commander without going all out, at her peak, she might as well rub our commander on the ground," the third soldier analyzed logically.
The second soldier scratched his head in confusion, "Ah? Is that so? Maybe I was standing too far back, I didn’t hear it."
Another soldier, the fourth, interjected, "Miss Jun Li is an SSS-rank powerhouse, and she held back on using her Special Ability to take care of the commander. The way she uses her ability to kill the Insect Clan is just so cool!"
"I saw it too!" several other soldiers said as they excitedly nodded.
After the fourth soldier finished speaking, he mysteriously pulled out a light brain, "I’ve saved photos of Miss Jun Li fighting an eighth-rank Star Beast by herself right here. She looks both beautiful and awesome. If I could find a wife like that, it would be great."
When the soldier shared the photos with the others, it immediately elicited praise, and they also jokingly ribbed the fourth soldier for "dreaming."
The group was talking and laughing, shoving each other playfully.
Qu Tong, listening, kept a composed expression—she knew she was strong.
Going with the flow, Zhao Qian also offered some praise, "Aside from Marshal Si, Miss Jun Li, you are the second person to spar with the commander and not be defeated. Even though the spar was interrupted, I know our commander is no match for you."
Qu Tong looked amusedly at Zhao Qian, who was speaking ill of his superior, although he had his own agenda, it was still somewhat bearable and not off-putting.
Qu Tong glanced at the soldiers in the distance and said, "Your battalion commander is very strong."
Feng Lin was indeed very strong, restricted only by his spiritual power level. He had maximized his strength to the utmost within his current physical level, and if he faced an SSS-rank opponent, he could even stand a chance to battle.
Feng Lin’s Special Ability was only useless on himself; it seemed his own vines were also classified as living things. Plus, there was nothing around him that he could use. The outcome might differ with another person and environment.
Zhao Qian went on to share a few of Feng Lin’s past exploits, leading Qu Tong across the training ground.
Though everyone called Zhao Qian ’Deputy Head Qian’, he was in fact the second-in-command of the Sixth Army Corps, having been promoted alongside Feng Lin. ’Deputy Head Qian’ was just a habit, and Zhao Qian didn’t ask anyone to change it.
Zhao Qian smoothly brought Qu Tong to the office door that Feng Lin had arranged for Si Yuting, "Marshal Si is inside, alone."
Qu Tong handed three Energy Liquids to Zhao Qian right at the door, considering it a thank you for cheering so loudly before.
Zhao Qian accepted them gleefully, even knocked on the door for Qu Tong, then ran off in a flash.
"Come in." The same authoritative and emotionless low voice as always.
Qu Tong glanced at the large light computer—great! He still hadn’t replied to her message.
She pushed the door open and entered.
Si Yuting sat at the blackwood desk, holding a gilt business pen, exuding the dignified air of a superior.
"Put the things..." Si Yuting looked up, only then realizing the visitor wasn’t Jiang Zhou.
Qu Tong, dressed in an ice-blue off-shoulder gown and sitting elegantly across from Si Yuting, shifted her chair by 35 degrees on the tips of her toes and smiled lazily,
"Admiral, with a multitude of affairs to handle, have you forgotten something?"
Si Yuting frowned at Qu Tong, clearly unaware of what Qu Tong was referring to.
Qu Tong had to remind him, "The Honor Points for them have been credited."
Si Yuting’s gaze fell on Qu Tong’s shoulder, his voice cool and dispassionate, "I haven’t forgotten."
After speaking, he retracted his gaze and continued to scribble something on the documents in front of him—it looked very much like he was ignoring Qu Tong.
Usually, Qu Tong would not disturb Si Yuting while he was working.
Today, however, she was in a slightly irritable mood.
Qu Tong stood up, snatched Si Yuting’s pen, and leaned in to question him, "If you haven’t forgotten, Admiral, why haven’t you approved them? Are you intentionally giving me a hard time?"
The office desk wasn’t that wide, so Qu Tong’s actions brought them very close to each other, close enough to feel each other’s breath.
Si Yuting leaned his body slightly back and retorted, "Are you in desperate need of money?"
"I’m not, but it’s what I deserve."
"I know. Since you’re not lacking, just wait a little longer," Si Yuting said coolly in an official tone.
To Qu Tong, that sounded like an admission that he was intentionally giving her a hard time.
Qu Tong gritted her teeth, feeling somewhat indignant.
Seeing Si Yuting’s aversion, her eyes shifted, and suddenly she gave a dangerously mocking smile:
"Admiral, I’ve suddenly changed my mind," Qu Tong said with a lilting tone at the end of her sentence, flirtatiously lifting Si Yuting’s chin with her pen.
"Since I like your type, I might as well just like you."
Qu Tong’s action was quite impolite and frivolous.
But that was the effect she was going for.
"Miss Jun Li..." Si Yuting didn’t move, just looked at her with an inscrutable expression.
Qu Tong guessed he must be cursing her shamelessness in his mind.
It didn’t matter.
After all, her fascination with handsome men was well known by everyone.
Who would have thought her abnormal psychology would become uncontrollable in front of Si Yuting?
As long as Si Yuting was put out, she was happy.
If it was for happiness, then why not throw away all decency?
To make oneself an object of envy was a trivial matter~
"It’s just several hundred thousand Star Coins. If the Admiral likes them so much, why not just give them to you," Qu Tong’s voice was melodious, with seduction at the corners of her eyes.
Forgetting Si Yuting didn’t want to be touched, Qu Tong put down the pen, opting to use her hand instead.
The moment her hand touched Si Yuting’s chin, Si Yuting leaned back again to avoid her touch, pressing tight against the chair back with a suppressed low voice, "Miss Jun Li, show some self-respect."
"Huh, self-respect?" Qu Tong scoffed mockingly.
Brazenly, she directly perched on the edge of the desk, looking down from above, and pressed in again: "Admiral, your devastating beauty truly makes it hard for one to keep their hands to themselves."
What even was self-respect?
Right now, all she wanted was to break Si Yuting’s composure.
Her deliberately lowered voice oozed charm, the warm breath feathering over Si Yuting’s face, causing a slight tickle that, in such secluded space, made one’s heart quiver slightly.
A glancing shift of her gaze, and she could see the sexy red lips, the moist skin, the delicate collarbones, so very close, very close.
While talking, her fair and tender hand daringly brushed over his sensitive Adam’s apple.
Si Yuting’s eyes darkened.
He reached out, grabbed Qu Tong’s mischievous hand, and with a swift movement,
Qu Tong, caught off guard, spun half-way around on the desk and fell into Si Yuting’s embrace.
As she looked up, she was met with an overwhelmingly aggressive kiss from Si Yuting.
Qu Tong’s eyes filled with shock: "You shouldn’t... mmm..."
Qu Tong managed to push away a little, but Si Yuting came back forcefully, his embrace tightening, and the rest of her words were swallowed up in their kisses.
MD! This shameless dog of a man!
He actually got what he wanted!
