The Marshal’s Wife is Wild -
Chapter 147 - 146: I Send You Off
Chapter 147: Chapter 146: I Send You Off
Qu Tong drove at maximum speed, relishing the thrill of piloting a high-speed aircraft, and arrived at Yuelan Bay at eight o’clock in the evening.
"Madam, you’re back!" Butler Chi called out excitedly.
"Yes," Qu Tong nodded, "has my express delivery arrived?"
"It has, Madam. I’ve taken the liberty of putting it away for you; it’s under the coffee table."
"Thank you, Uncle Chi."
After thanking him, Qu Tong went to retrieve her parcels from under the coffee table; there were three in total, one large and two small.
Qu Tong used a knife to open the largest package, checking for any damage, and casually asked, "Where is His Highness?"
"His Highness is in his room. He just came out of the study and hasn’t gone to sleep yet. Would you like me to call him for you, Madam?" Butler Chi’s smile was beaming.
"No need; I’m going up as well."
Qu Tong replaced the foam packaging back into the box and carried the parcel upstairs.
"Madam, let me help you," Butler Chi offered earnestly, reaching for the largest box.
Qu Tong allowed him to carry it to the door and then sent him off to rest.
Back in her room, Qu Tong took out the contents of the package—a glass tank slightly larger than a bowl’s mouth, along with two glass vases for flower arrangement.
Qu Tong added water and took out two bundles of roses she had picked on Luyi Star, arranging them inside and adjusting their placement.
Her fingertips twirled above the two bunches of roses, seemingly casting faint green sparks that were absorbed by the leaves and petals.
Considering she hadn’t informed Si Yuting in advance about her return, she picked up the bouquet with warmer tones of Langa Los roses and knocked on Si Yuting’s door.
In fact, as soon as Qu Tong’s aircraft had approached Yuelan Bay, his smart brain had already alerted him, so her arrival was no surprise to him.
Nevertheless, when he opened the door and saw a large bunch of pure and stunning roses, he was still taken aback.
"Your Highness, for you." Qu Tong’s head peeked out from behind the roses, her eyes sparkling.
Si Yuting accepted them, lowering his gaze to look at her.
Qu Tong stepped back, so she wouldn’t have to tilt her head uncomfortably, "Your Highness, I need to go back to school for classes tomorrow."
"Alright, I’ll take you."
"Uh? Okay," Qu Tong nodded hesitantly.
Actually, she just wanted to let him know that he didn’t need to wait for her tomorrow night; she could go with Song Ke and the others.
The Empress had also asked her to bring Xu An along.
"Then, Your Highness, please rest early, good night." After speaking, Qu Tong went back to her room to bus herself.
Watching Qu Tong return to her room, Si Yuting felt that he didn’t quite understand his young wife.
She had given him roses laden with romantic implication, yet her actions were so pure, devoid of any hidden agenda.
Sometimes she seemed passionate as fire towards him, making everything very clear, other times she was cool and unpredictable, leaving him unable to see through her.
Si Yuting attributed this to Qu Tong’s youth and her instability of heart.
He placed the roses by the bedside; the incandescent light cast a halo on the flowers, and the few droplets on them shimmered with a crystalline glow.
The roses were in excellent condition, each one unique, yet each bloomed nearly perfectly, as if everything she cared for thrived remarkably well.

The next day, Qu Tong asked Si Yuting to drive the aircraft directly into the school to avoid being surrounded by onlookers.
Qu Tong didn’t even return to her dormitory but went straight to military theory class.
Even though she had ranked first in the midterm exam and needed only to pass the finals to advance, she still needed to complete her grade points; otherwise, being first at midterm would be for naught.
Qu Tong entered the classroom just in time, and Rong Yueqing had already sent her a message to reserve her seat.
As soon as they sat down, two conspicuous figures with sunglasses swaggered in through the door, flinging their jackets over their shoulders with a flair and running a hand over their forehead to suavely push back their hair before surveying the classroom with an arrogant gaze.
The entire classroom fell silent.
Zhu Jidan, who had entered from another door, looked at those two idiots standing at the entrance and, tossing two pieces of chalk at their foreheads, scolded, "If you don’t want to come in, then don’t, just get out and stand properly!"
Fei Wenxing and Cheng Yao were startled and their previously smug faces collapsed in an instant. They stood straight with their hands down, looking like street thugs encountering a police officer in the middle of the night.
Before the two could admit their faults and beg for mercy, Zhu Jidan urged,
"What are you wearing sunglasses in class for? Get out and stand properly! If you disrupt the class order again, I’m calling your parents."
The two of them dejectedly went to stand outside the door.
They had just basked in the glory of being number one and were praised by their family. If their parents were called in so soon, how embarrassing that would be.
Suppressive laughter began to ripple through the classroom, and from outside the door, Fei Wenxing and Cheng Yao’s pursed lips could have hung things on them...
After finishing the two morning classes, Qu Tong took advantage of the lunch break to go to the aquarium outside school and picked out some colorful fish.
Qu Tong, carrying a round and adorable glass fishbowl, took a shortcut back to the school.
But this path didn’t seem very peaceful, as she had just walked in when she saw an agile figure take out the last person, with three bodies already lying on the ground, all killed in one strike.
Qu Tong had just lifted her foot to take another path when the man looked up at her, his eyes still dark with unshed bloodlust.
The man’s lips curled up into a wicked smile, and with a flick of his hand, a thin ice spike shot toward her.
No, it was aimed at the glass sphere she was holding.
He did it on purpose!
Qu Tong, holding the glass sphere, dodged behind herself.
"Crack!"
Before the ice spike arrived, the glass sphere hit the wall and shattered, scattering pieces all over, while a few fish flopped around on the ground.
Qu Tong: "..."
The man snorted with laughter, which somewhat lessened the cold-bloodedness encompassing him.
Qu Tong turned her head and met Rong Chengjue’s gaze coolly. This man, he was wicked.
"Daring to look at me like that? Not afraid?"
Rong Chengjue drew out a handkerchief and leisurely wiped the blood from his hands, his gaze steadily locked on Qu Tong.
"What should I be afraid of? Shouldn’t it be you who’s afraid?" Qu Tong faced him without fear.
Rong Chengjue let out a light chuckle, his stunning face alight with mockery and bloodlust: "You saw what you shouldn’t have. Do you think you can leave here alive?"
Qu Tong’s expression turned cold, yet her lips held a slight smile, "This is the Canaan Empire, and I, am the Second Prince’s Consort."
"So what? You’re going to report me, have someone arrest me?"
Rong Chengjue, in front of Qu Tong, started scooping up the four bodies with a Space Button.
"Had you not attacked my fish, I might have pretended not to see anything."
She had known from the first glance that the four dead weren’t from the Canaan Empire, and she had no interest in meddling in others’ affairs.
Rong Chengjue had already packed up and started walking towards Qu Tong.
Though Rong Chengjue appeared frail, he was actually quite tall. Cloaked in a black and gold robe, matched with his dark presence, he could impose a sense of oppression.
Qu Tong shifted her stance defensively, a trace of green energy already coiling around her little finger.
But Rong Chengjue simply walked past her.
Just as Qu Tong thought he was going to leave like that, Rong Chengjue stopped in his tracks.
His low voice came through:
"Follow."
