Chapter 721: Chapter 411 True Success_3

Asa was filled with resentment, but she had no choice but to help him clean his clothes.

"Wow! It stinks so much, did he go fight monsters in a sewage pit?"

"What are these brown spots... Oh my God, is this sediment from a hundred years of feces?"

"No way, my little brother cannot possibly smell this bad!"

In the Dream Realm, Rod, who had been sleeping in a rocking chair for ten hours, finally woke up.

He stretched lazily, sensed his Soul, and felt energetically lively and filled with Spiritual Energy, probably recovered to more than ninety percent—such a level of Spiritual Energy recovery ability was also unimaginable for ordinary people.

Rod stood up, deciding first to go check the Book of the Future.

Arriving at the House of God, there was indeed an additional book beside the Book of the Past on the bookshelf.

He pulled it from the shelf; it looked plain from the outside, with a huge gray cover that seemed to have a layer of mist on it, and Rod only saw a line of small print in the corner.

"Book of the Future."

Upon opening it, each page inside was pitch black, showing no information at all.

Rod recalled what the Book of Knowledge had said and spoke, "Book of the Future, can you hear me?"

After asking three times, there was no response.

Rod frowned, noticing faintly that the pages of the book trembled for a few seconds, clearly indicating the presence of a subjective consciousness; he quickly thought of a method.

He raised his right hand, extended his middle finger towards the seam of the book, and the Book of the Future indeed reacted, flipping its pages and vibrating the air, making a sound.

"I heard you, I heard you."

Rod sneered, "Then why didn’t you hear me just now?"

The Book of the Future flipped a page and said, "Don’t be too proud, you just won by luck. If it weren’t for that idiotic, stupid piece of junk, I would not have lost to you. I can control my own destiny."

Rod knocked on the cover of the book.

"Hey, clear up your position, you belong to a book in the Dream Realm, and I am the master of this realm."

"Pah!"

The Book of the Future made a loud sound.

"I am a free Soul! No will can dominate me. I offer you a suggestion, let me out, and we can collaborate as equals, otherwise, even if you possess my book, you won’t have my Soul."

Listening to these defiant words, Rod’s head began to ache.

He had no time to tangle with it, so he inserted it back on the shelf and walked out of the House of God.

Unexpectedly, the Book of the Future jumped off the shelf on its own and followed him.

"Hey, what do you mean by this? You know it’s very impolite, don’t you? Do you understand what equals and cooperation mean?"

Rod ignored it, went to the Soul Altar, and looked at the quiet wisp of gray mist in the upper right corner of the Crystal Wall—that was Asa’s calmed down Soul.

The moment it saw Rod, it began to boil, and a vicious face emerged from the gray mist.

"Die! Die! Die! I curse you, you must die! Die miserably, die worthlessly!"

Asa roared madly, starting to rush left and right within that small corner, unable to break through the barriers of the Crystal Wall or reach any other Sealed souls within it.

Rod ignored him, stepped onto the Soul Altar, and tried it, indeed unable to Sacrifice.

Asa’s Soul was indeed very special; it couldn’t even be measured by standard sayings of a Soul, but rather a fragment of consciousness.

That would do.

Rod thought to himself. Just as the Book of Knowledge had said, he would seal him here until the day of final Victory when he would naturally perish.

Just as he was about to turn to leave, Asa suddenly saw the book beside Rod’s foot. Through long-term contact, he recognized it immediately; this was his Book of Destiny.

"It’s you!"

Asa’s entire Soul expanded.

"You rotten book, dare to conspire and harm the great evil Spirit. I endured over millions of years, accrued endless wisdom, only to be destroyed by you!"

The Book of the Future suddenly jumped up, its pages flapping furiously, emitting a roar, "Nonsense! You brainless fool! Do you have the face to say such things? The King of Feces, gaining power by devouring feces, it’s shameful that you came up with such an idea! How many times have you failed using me against the Dream Realm? How many times have I been broken? Do you even have a brain? Idiot! Moron! You deserve it!"

Asa’s fury was about to explode, and the Book of the Future was equally uncontrollable; both started furiously blaming each other for the mess of this battle.

Rod paid no heed to the noisy sounds, thought for a moment, and left the Dream Realm.
