Chapter 714: Chapter 409 Heavenly God Throne_2
Asa’s Spiritual Energy was slightly stronger than Rod’s, but Rod possessed the Frost Blue, which, after completion of Quantification, had a remarkable recovery ability even without activating "Spirit Tide."
However, Asa had no special recovery powers.
This tactic was extremely effective, and within moments, Asa’s Spiritual Energy had significantly weakened.
"Hehehe, who would have thought, who would have thought."
In the midst of the fierce battle, Asa suddenly burst out laughing.
"An Ancient God, once so weak, has actually become this strong."
He gazed ecstatically at Rod’s dazzling Star Shuttle and flawless Phantom.
"Ah— such an enviable ability, to have devoured the power of so many ancient kings. Perhaps in the future, the world will belong to you, filled with all sorts of crap..."
With a furious shout, Rod retorted, "Shut your damn mouth!" His fingers moved rapidly, and the Star Shuttle shot out like a torrential rain.
The Phantom’s gaze sharpened, and a highly efficient Soul Strike stabbed directly at Asa’s back, the nearly perfect transformation of 3000 units of Spiritual Energy nearly splitting the space apart.
Asa turned around, the Black Fire shrinking and vanishing, as he shifted again.
Rod immediately redirected his fingertips, the Star Shuttle pouring down like rain as the Phantom also charged with its sword.
Under the continuous bombardment, Asa’s Spiritual Energy couldn’t keep up. The Black Fire was penetrated, the Star Shuttle blasted into Asa’s body, ripping it apart, and the Phantom even leapt from behind to cleave him in two with a heavy slash.
But, Asa’s mangled body slowly vanished, leaving not a trace in the air.
A long laugh came from afar.
"Hehehe, this is my Phantom, how about that? Although not as perfect as yours, it was enough to deceive your eyes," he said.
The Book of Knowledge screamed in his mind, "He’s running east! But his real body is in the west!"
Rod quickly pursued and indeed saw Asa running away.
"Book, you’ve become smart."
The Book of Knowledge spoke angrily, "He still wants to deceive me! He actually treats me like a fool! Unforgivable, absolutely unforgivable!"
Taking a deep breath, Rod gathered his Spiritual Energy and relentlessly chased, his Eye of the Soul firmly fixed on Asa, not letting him out of sight.
Rod was incredibly fast; aside from Anna and a few others, no one was faster.
Within mere seconds, Rod had caught up with him.
Spiritual Energy exploded in a ring, a sword light flashed like a ribbon, Asa moved again, appearing not far ahead on the side.
Rod was about to give chase when he suddenly felt his foot step into a large, unidentified brown object.
Immediately following, a horrifyingly indescribable stench assaulted him as unimaginable things began spraying from all directions.
Asa laughed loudly, "How about that? This is the trap I meticulously prepared for you! It’s called Food Hell. I know you have strong willpower, but under this exquisitely crafted gas of desire I’ve concocted, there’s no way you can endure..."
Bang!
A ring of Spiritual Energy exploded under Rod’s feet, powerful force propelled his body like lightning through the countless indescribable things, and he instantly arrived in front of Asa.
The sword light in his hand was like lightning, piercing through the Black Fire, through Asa’s neck, cutting off his forthcoming words.
Asa’s face was filled with disbelief, his rotten nostrils seeming to flare, as if he couldn’t believe what was happening before him.
In the next instant, he suddenly transformed into a burst of black flame, carrying the torn Book of Destiny and fleeing into the sky.
"Trying to run?"
Rod’s form flashed, chasing through the air, his long sword descending, and the Black Fire was immediately split into two.
One half extinguished immediately, and the other half fled desperately, with Rod hot on its heels.
The Black Fire frantically maneuvered through intricate caverns; despite its agility, it couldn’t shake Rod off.
It continuously triggered traps, all kinds of black, yellow, and brown things assaulted him, fresh, aged, ancient, one after another, dry, liquid, solid—none were absent.
The air was filled with a terrifying, nauseating stench, and the depths of the hazardous sewer became a paradise of filth.
Rod was so furious he felt like his lungs would explode, doggedly chasing and viciously slashing at the wisp of Black Fire.
Asa’s voice quickly changed from smug to panicked, then to disbelieving.
"Why, why is this happening?"
"This is ten thousand-year-old crap. Given its shape, it’s likely from Giant King Omir. Don’t you want to gain the power of a Giant?"
"My God, this golden poop might even be from a legendary Divine being. Why are you unaffected?"
"Impossible, why is your will so strong? Even the Book of Destiny can’t tempt you?"
The more Asa spoke, the angrier Rod got, chasing him more fiercely until the Black Fire was barely flickering. Asa, trying to beg for mercy, found Rod unresponsive.
Just as the Black Fire was about to extinguish, not even contained by the Book of Destiny, Asa suddenly clenched his teeth, "You forced this!"
The Black Fire stopped abruptly, transforming back into a human. He was badly wounded, blood pouring out. The damaged Book of Destiny burst forth with a strange red light as blood rushed into it like a stream.
A line of bright red text formed on the paper.
"The wheel of destiny begins to turn, the existence known as the Devourer of Crap is summoned by the Law of Death."
Asa laughed maniacally, "Die, pitiful and ridiculous Divine being, your power might be strong, but your position hasn’t improved. This is a downgrade strike from the source, you’re doomed!"
Whish!
A sword light pierced through the red light, heading straight for Asa.
