Just as they were about to say goodbye and part ways, Aro suddenly called out.

"Where is Lord Rod? Why haven’t I seen him all along the way?"

They had been to every temporary bonfire in Black Water Swamp; it was impossible not to have encountered Rod.

Velas pondered, "Did he return to Star Town?"

Molly shook her head, "Impossible."

Vivian said somewhat anxiously, "Shall we look for him?"

Upon searching, they found that not only was Rod missing, but Mephit and Anna were also nowhere to be found.
