Anning Jian had no choice but to say to an assistant, "If Zexiao is looking for me later, just tell him I’ve gone off with Miss Ling to deal with something."

The assistant nodded, and only then did Anning turn around, but as she did, she saw Ling Yinuo with a somewhat teasing smile, "You don’t have to be so nervous, I won’t hurt you."

For some reason, seeing her sly smile made Anning shiver involuntarily.

Ling Yinuo led her deeper into the yacht. While this place differed from the usual tourist cruise ships, it too had its hierarchy. Ryu Zexiao’s group stayed in the most luxurious rooms. Whereas Director Li, Lu Jiayuan, and Jiang Xuanqi had rooms that were just a notch below in quality.

All along the way, Ling Yinuo was surveying Anning with a curious gaze, making her feel uneasy until she finally asked, "Miss Ling, is there something dirty on my face?"

"There’s nothing," Ling Yinuo said cheerfully, but then blinked and said, "Although Xingxing and I aren’t from the same city, our parents know each other. Qin Xian’s parents got married when we were children, and we both served as flower children. You could say we’ve been childhood friends. I’ve known him for over twenty years, but this is the first time I’ve seen him so anxious about a woman!"

Anning replied formally, "I think Miss Ling is misunderstanding. I am Zexiao’s assistant, and because of that, I usually take care of his daily needs. Maybe because of this, we appear somewhat close. But it doesn’t go beyond that."

"Is that so?" Ling Yinuo’s beautiful eyes thoroughly examined her. Anning, feeling the pressure, massaged her forehead, "Of course. As a pop idol, Zexiao couldn’t possibly interact with girls in any normal way. I look after him purely for professional reasons, nothing personal."

Her gaze was clear, her expression composed. Ling Yinuo watched her for a long while, then suddenly asked, "What if it was me who liked him?"

Anning stopped in her tracks, completely taken aback.

Ling Yinuo’s background was well-known; she came from a wealthy family and was a perfect match for Yu Zexiao in both status and background. She was undeniably beautiful and had a pleasant demeanor. Just from their brief exchange, Anning found her to be quite likeable, with strong charisma. If it were her and Yu Zexiao together, they indeed seemed like a match made in heaven.

At least, their pairing seemed much more credible than the fabricated romance Starlight Entertainment had set up between him and Jiang Xuanqi.

But if she truly liked Yu Zexiao...

An unexpected wave of emotions flooded Anning’s mind. Perhaps it was because she had never really dealt with the love lives of her artists, she suddenly felt bewildered!

Observing the smile that was gradually spreading across Ling Yinuo’s face, her first thought was of Yu Zexiao’s career prospects!

After a moment’s thought, she said, "Zexiao has signed ’The Singlehood Contract.’ If he breaks it, there would be a substantial penalty to pay."

Ling Yinuo laughed naturally, "Compensation? How much? As long as it’s not over a hundred million, I can afford it! You see, my parents are eager for me to get married. If I were to marry Xingxing, I think they would be very pleased!"
