The King of Urban Mercenaries
Chapter 63 - 63 63 Sprint to Bite the Face

63: Chapter 63: Sprint to Bite the Face 63: Chapter 63: Sprint to Bite the Face The night on the deserted Lianpan Mountain highway, the rumbling yellow Ferrari sportscar raced towards the base of the mountain.

Shao Kai, inside the car, clutched the steering wheel, his hands trembling slightly.

Nevertheless, he had no intention of slowing down, instead continually flooring the gas pedal, hoping to reach the base of the mountain in the shortest time possible.

All of tonight’s events had been meticulously planned by Shao Kai.

He had lured Xu Yingying to Lianpan Mountain, won her sportscar in the process, and thought that by leveraging the car, Yingying would compliantly fall into line.

But he hadn’t counted on Lin Fei appearing midway into the race.

He had thought victory would be easy, yet ended up being left far behind by Lin Fei—a classic case of trying to show off and getting thrashed instead.

Back in school, relying on his family background, Shao Kai had always been the one oppressing others.

From childhood to maturity, he had always had things go his way, except when it came to Xu Yingying.

Shao Kai had long fostered an arrogant mindset; he didn’t like to lose, or rather, he didn’t have the courage to accept failure.

Therefore, seeing no hope of victory, the now cool-headed Shao Kai had turned the car around, intending to rush back to the base of the mountain before anyone else, to then twist the facts.

It has to be said that his idea wasn’t bad, unfortunately, the person he faced was Lin Fei.

As Shao Kai anxiously thought about reaching the foot of the mountain to claim his victory, the silver Mercedes reappeared behind the Ferrari.

Feeling the movements from the rear of the car, Shao Kai unconsciously glanced at the rearview mirror.

The sight of the familiar silver Mercedes instilled a sense of fear that had yet to fully subside.

Instinctively, Shao Kai wanted to stop the car, but then, remembering winning meant spending the night with Xu Yingying, he gritted his teeth and slammed on the accelerator.

The yellow Ferrari surged towards the foot of the mountain.

The silver Mercedes kept close behind the Ferrari, filled with Lin Fei, who, indifferently puffing on a cigarette, showed no hint of emotion.

Lin Fei had reached the summit first.

Looking down from the peak, he could see the headlights of the Ferrari.

He saw the yellow sportscar not coming towards the summit, but instead turning around towards the base of the mountain.

Lin Fei thought for a second and understood Shao Kai’s scheme.

Not in the mood to admire the night view from the peak anymore, he got back into the Mercedes, turned around, and chased after Shao Kai.

Honestly, Lin Fei was detached but not so much that he could disregard all victories and defeats like a saint.

However, he did care about who he won against.

For someone like Shao Kai, who was just a bratty teenager, Lin Fei really didn’t care about winning or losing.

If Shao Kai had truly won with his own ability, even if he had schemed against Yingying, Lin Fei wouldn’t have been able to help but give him props.

But since Shao Kai dared to play dirty, this made Lin Fei somewhat discontented.

If he were outmaneuvered by Shao Kai, that kind of reputation would mean he could no longer mix in the world of mercenaries.

It wasn’t just a matter of losing face.

Some serious clients would likely doubt Lin Fei’s capabilities.

Frustrated, Lin Fei no longer felt like toying with Shao Kai.

He gently accelerated, taking advantage of the winding road, the silver Mercedes and the Ferrari drove side by side.

Bang!

The steering wheel turned sharply inward, and Lin Fei’s silver Mercedes crashed into the side of the Ferrari.

If you dare play dirty, then you have to bear the consequences.

You don’t want to stop?

Fine, I’ll make you stop.

Lin Fei felt a flare of anger after being tricked by Shao Kai.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

After several collisions, the yellow Ferrari was battered with dents.

Inside, Shao Kai was thrown into disarray, completely bewildered.

At the end of the day, Shao Kai was just a high school student.

Although he had been racing for two years, it was always by the rules, never exceeding 160 km/h.

Shao Kai raced purely for the thrill and to show off, not to put his life at risk.

He had never witnessed this kind of aggressive confrontation outside of movies.

The first time Lin Fei hit him, his soul nearly left his body in shock.

Under Lin Fei’s repeated assaults, the Ferrari was forced to a halt in the middle of a curve.

Lin Fei stepped out of his car and approached the Ferrari, knocking on the window, signaling Shao Kai to come out.

But Shao Kai, already dazed by Lin Fei’s barrage of hits, was pale as a sheet and shaking uncontrollably.

Seeing Lin Fei approach and knock on the window, Shao Kai’s instinct was to keep as far away from Lin Fei as possible, and he was reluctant to exit the car.

Lin Fei knocked a few more times, and seeing that Shao Kai neither rolled down the window nor got out of the car but instead cowered away, Lin Fei’s brow furrowed slightly.

He removed the cheap cigarette from his mouth and flicked it with his finger.

Crash!

The entire front window of the Ferrari shattered as Lin Fei’s flicked cigarette butt struck the glass.

Most of the fragments fell onto Shao Kai’s head, and a few pieces even cut into his face, leaving several bloodstained lines.

“Help—Help—”

The glass cuts brought Shao Kai considerable pain, but what truly made him scream for help was the sight of Lin Fei’s hand reaching through the broken window.

With no window left to block him, Lin Fei reached inside the car and grabbed Shao Kai.

Seeing Shao Kai struggling and calling for help, Lin Fei pushed his hand against Shao Kai’s throat and dragged him out of the car.

“If you can’t handle losing, don’t pretend to race.

Where did you stash the money you won from that girl?”

Lin Fei had no patience for sore losers like Shao Kai, the entitled second-generation rich kid.

People like him were so spoiled that they lacked even the most basic sense of competitive spirit; no amount of talking would change his attitude—he’d simply brush it off as meaningless noise.

Lin Fei decided to just go ahead and demand the money Xu Yingying lost.

Since Xu Yingying had brought it up before the race, he certainly wasn’t going to disappoint her by not following through.

Shao Kai, with Lin Fei’s hand around his neck making it difficult to even breathe, didn’t care about the blood dripping down his face.

He shakily pointed towards the inside of his Ferrari.

He was truly terrified of Lin Fei; in response to Lin Fei’s questioning, his first instinct was to comply, with no other thoughts crossing his mind.

“Go get it, I’m only giving you five seconds.”

Lin Fei let go of Shao Kai’s neck, pushed him, and he fell against the door of the Ferrari.

After all, he was just a high school student—who could possibly withstand the hard impact against the car door?

The shove from Lin Fei made Shao Kai feel as though his entire body was about to fall apart.

“Five, four…”

The sound of Lin Fei’s counting was scarier to Shao Kai than any physical pain.

Fighting through the agony, he crawled into the car, grabbed Xu Yingying’s purse, and handed it to Lin Fei.

Lin Fei casually opened the purse to glance inside.

It contained two credit cards and some cash; he didn’t even care to count the exact amount.

At that moment, Shao Kai was in too much pain to think about cheating.

After taking Xu Yingying’s purse, Lin Fei didn’t bother with Shao Kai, who was clutching his neck and stomach, whimpering on the ground.

Lin Fei got back into his silver Mercedes-Benz sports car and headed down toward the foot of the mountain.

After Lin Fei drove off in his Mercedes sports car, Shao Kai collapsed with a clang against the Ferrari, sitting down on the ground.

The psychological pressure from Lin Fei had been too intense.

He was sweating profusely and his heart had been in his throat.

It wasn’t until Lin Fei left that he dared to gasp for air; whether Shao Kai would have wet himself if Lin Fei had stayed a minute or two longer is anyone’s guess, but Shao Kai would definitely have cried.

“Wow!

Uncle, you are so mighty and the best—I knew you would win for sure.”

As Lin Fei drove the silver Mercedes sports car to the foot of the mountain and stopped, he got out of the car with Xu Yingying’s purse in hand.

The girl had been intending to jump into the Mercedes and make a run for it if Lin Fei lost, but when she saw her purse in Lin Fei’s hand, she changed her tune and cheered, running towards him.

“Stop right there—”

Seeing the girl about to pull her usual stunt and throw herself into his arms, Lin Fei quickly extended his hand to signal Xu Yingying to stop.

Xu Yingying was notably clingy; once she got into his arms, who knew when he’d manage to pry her off.

“Uncle, you’re no fun.

I just wanted to give you a happy hug.”

Xu Yingying pouted, clearly dissatisfied that Lin Fei interrupted her mid-leap.

“Cut the chatter, just check if the money’s all there.”

Lin Fei tapped Xu Yingying’s head with the purse, unmoved by the look of injured innocence on her face.

Others might not know Xu Yingying’s true nature, but Lin Fei certainly did.

Just look at this car race—before it started, she was ready to bolt.

The joy on Xu Yingying’s face was genuine, but that look of grievance—definitely an act.

“Uncle, lower your head.

I have something to tell you.”

Xu Yingying showed no interest in checking the purse.

Instead, she moved closer to Lin Fei with a secretive gesture, signaling him to lean in.

“I don’t like talking with my head bowed.”

Lin Fei knew exactly what Xu Yingying was up to.

She obviously wanted to seize the opportunity to hug his head and plant a few kisses on his face while he was bowing.

This act was something Xu Yingying had done more than once.

If it were Mu Shanshan instead, Lin Fei would have bowed his head without a second thought, even leaning in for a kiss.

Mu Shanshan had a fatal attraction for men in every aspect.

As for Xu Yingying, what could he say—that barely-bloomed girl couldn’t evoke anything in him besides a sensation similar to being licked by a pet dog.

“Stinky uncle, if you don’t bow your head, I’ll get angry,” threatened Xu Yingying, baring her little tiger teeth.

“Suit yourself.”

Threats from a girl whose fuzz hadn’t even grown in yet—why would Lin Fei care?

Seeing Lin Fei’s indifferent demeanor, Xu Yingying huffed a few times and took a few steps back.

Lin Fei didn’t pay attention to her small steps backward until she started sprinting towards him; only then did he realize her retreat was actually a run-up.

As Xu Yingying leaped into the air, Lin Fei could have dodged, but fearing she might hurt herself, he reluctantly extended his arms to catch her in his embrace.

Xu Yingying, seizing the opportunity, fiercely kissed his face.

While Xu Yingying’s little face was indeed nice to look at, her age was a factor to consider.

Being kissed like that by her, Lin Fei felt none of the romance of a beautiful woman’s kiss, but rather the bizarre impression of a pet dog gnawing at his face.
