43: Chapter 43 Shen Peini PK Ling Weiwei 43: Chapter 43 Shen Peini PK Ling Weiwei Lin Fei held Gang Brother who had struck first, and after a series of fierce blows, only he and Ling Weiwei could still stand in the entire luxury private room.
“Can’t you take a hit?”
After withdrawing his hand, Lin Fei intended to ask Gang Brother a few questions, but the latter had already been knocked out by Ling Weiwei.
Lin Fei thought he might have hit too hard, but didn’t think much of it, tossing Gang Brother aside carelessly.
Initially, Lin Fei wanted to ask Gang Brother whether other people from Imperial Lux nightclub had been involved in the kidnapping of Ling Weiwei.
Now that the man had fainted, Lin Fei couldn’t be bothered to wake him up.
The main reason was Gang Brother’s bloody mouth, which likely wouldn’t produce anything coherent even if he were awakened.
“Tell the manager here that I’ll be back if I have time, and I want an explanation for today’s incident.”
Lin Fei turned and walked to Ling Weiwei, took her delicate hand, and headed towards the exit of the private room.
As he reached the door, Lin Fei looked down at the security guard groaning while holding his stomach.
“Explanation?!”
The security guard’s stomach pain instantly disappeared, as he was completely dumbfounded.
Originally, as Lin Fei walked toward the door holding Ling Weiwei, the security guard purposely dodged to the side, fearing Lin Fei would mind him blocking the way.
He didn’t expect to be the target of Lin Fei’s words, especially not that Lin Fei would instruct him to relay a message to his own boss demanding an explanation.
Of course, these thoughts the security guard dared only mutter internally; he wouldn’t dare to speak them out loud in front of Lin Fei, not after seeing how his boss had been picked up and smashed against others.
“What?
Do I need to say it again?”
Seeing the security guard standing frozen and unresponsive, Lin Fei frowned.
“No, no need, I will, I will definitely relay it.”
Though the security guard hastily agreed, he was inwardly desperate.
If this message really reached his boss, the boss of Imperial Lux who was also a leader in the Azure Dragon Gang, known for caring about face and having volatile tempers, the outcome could be easily imagined.
Still, the security guard didn’t dare to deny Lin Fei, whose ferocity in beating people was vividly imprinted in his mind.
Whoever dared to wreak havoc in the Imperial Lux nightclub wasn’t someone he could afford to refuse.
Lin Fei probably guessed the security guard’s thoughts, but that didn’t mean he would take back his words.
“If others do not offend me, I do not offend them; if others offend me, I will kill them.” This was the creed Lin Fei lived by as a mercenary on foreign battlefields and was also the soul motto of Hell’s Judgement Organization.
…
“Now you can open your eyes.”
After leaving Imperial Lux, Lin Fei let go of Ling Weiwei’s tender hand, softly speaking next to her ear.
Ling Weiwei’s long eyelashes trembled slightly, her beautiful eyes slowly opened a slit before gradually widening.
“Everything’s over now.
I’ll take you home to sleep, and when you wake up tomorrow morning, treat it all like a dream.”
Unknown to Ling Weiwei, Lin Fei had sneakily opened his eyes while she was dealing with Gang and the others.
Seeing Ling Weiwei turn back and gaze at the Imperial Lux nightclub, he thought the woman was scared by the incidents tonight, and gently tried to comfort her.
Hearing Lin Fei’s comforting words, Ling Weiwei turned around, looked at the man, and her delicate, picturesque face bloomed with a captivating smile, “Why should I pretend it was just a dream?
Everything tonight for me is an unforgettable memory.
Years from now, I might even thank heaven for arranging this night for me.”
After tonight’s string of events, Ling Weiwei’s accumulating fondness for Lin Fei nearly vanished with just a few words from him.
“If it weren’t for you saving me tonight, based on what you just said, I would definitely fire you.”
Ling Weiwei bit down on her silver teeth, glaring hatefully at Lin Fei.
Thinking of the inexplicable fondness and affection she had felt for Lin Fei, Ling Weiwei felt sad for herself.
“Ah, Weiwei, this is where you’re wrong.
As your subordinate, how can you just abandon me after crossing the river?
If other colleagues in the company find out, where would I put my face?
Do not just fire me willy-nilly in the future.
Where would you find another outstanding man like me?”
Seeing that Ling Weiwei wasn’t swayed by the night’s events nor showing any signs of psychological disturbance, Lin Fei completely relaxed and started running his mouth again.
While running his mouth, Lin Fei silently comforted himself: I’m saying this to divert her attention, to ease her mood.
I’m a good person.
She should be thankful to me, grateful to me.
Ideally, she might even impulsively offer herself to me in a moment of excitement, or at the very least, I could reluctantly accept a one-night stand.
“Lin Fei, you bastard, what are you saying?
Explain yourself clearly to me.
Once I fired you, what about it?!”
“Oh, isn’t this Assistant Lin and Director Ling?
What are you guys doing out here this late at night?
From the looks of it, you wouldn’t be breaking up, would you?”
Just as Ling Weiwei pressed Lin Fei to clarify his words and restore her honor, a seductive and graceful silhouette approached from the side.
The woman approaching Lin Fei and Ling Weiwei had a strikingly beautiful face, with every smile and frown exuding charm.
However, the moment Lin Fei turned and saw the face clearly, his heart skipped a beat, and he inwardly cursed the situation.
The newcomer was none other than Shen Peini, who Lin Fei had left in the car earlier.
Seeing Shen Peini’s eyes filled with blood vessels, Lin Fei could imagine the mental stress Shen Peini had suffered while waiting for him.
Now, to make matters worse, his casual flirting with Ling Weiwei had been caught red-handed by Shen Peini, and from her previous tone, the depth of resentment in her heart was evident.
Probably, if Shen Peini had waited a few more hours, she would have turned into a resentful woman.
“How come you’re here?”
Ling Weiwei hadn’t been with the two before, so naturally, she didn’t know Lin Fei had driven Shen Peini’s car to rescue her.
While trying to figure out how to clear her name, Shen Peini suddenly appeared, twisting the facts.
Both were already on tense terms, so it was no wonder Ling Weiwei wore a sour expression with Shen Peini.
However, Shen Peini didn’t care about Ling Weiwei’s tone.
She walked up to Lin Fei with elegance, naturally took his arm amidst his guilty and surprised gaze, and pleaded sorrowfully, “You heartless man, hurry up and tell Director Ling why I am here.
Send her away quickly so we can go have dinner.”
Damn it, Lin Fei felt his head swell, just out of the wolf’s den and into the tiger’s lair!
If he had a choice, Lin Fei would rather face the rough men of the Azure Dragon Gang.
Caught between two women who clearly didn’t get along, Lin Fei felt his nuts ache terribly!
