Chapter 202: Chapter 201 Peacock and Roc

Guang Chengzi took out the Sky Flipping Seal, while his junior disciples protected Jiang Ziya behind him, each pulling out their Magical Treasures. Unfortunately, the disparity in strength was far too great.

"Hahaha, Kunpeng, Kunpeng, are you trying to bully the weak with your might?"

Suddenly, Zhen Yuanzi, who had been silent all this time, erupted with power, bursting out of the Mountain and River Map and directly blocking the path of Guang Chengzi’s group. He had come to thwart Kunpeng and had a decent relationship with Yuanshi Tianzun, occasionally sharing tea and meals with him.

Kunpeng spoke in a low tone, "Old geezer, weren’t you trapped at the bottom of the sea long enough last time?"

At the mention of this, Zhen Yuanzi grew indignant. He hadn’t been so humiliated in countless Shao Yuan Conferences.

"Hmph, nothing but dirty tricks. If you want a fair fight, do you think I’m afraid of you?"

Kunpeng realized his plan had completely failed, and the only thing left to salvage was retrieving the Chaos Bell.

Just as he tried to advance, Zhen Yuanzi forced him back.

Behind him, Guang Chengzi, standing on the Twelve-Grade Karma Fire Red Lotus, and his junior disciples were already carrying Jiang Ziya and the Chaos Bell away.

Kunpeng was enraged and roared furiously, "Courting death!"

The entire Beiming Sea seemed to respond to his power. The deep blue waters surged with an immense force, crashing downwards.

Guang Chengzi, holding the Sky Flipping Seal and standing on the Red Lotus, met the attack head-on.

"Retreat quickly!"

Ci Hang nodded, infusing her Mana into Jiang Ziya’s Central Wujixing Yellow Flag, shielding the group as they fled toward the Primordial Land.

Zhen Yuanzi also stopped holding back. The earthy yellow halo collided with Kunpeng’s deep blue aura, intertwining and dissipating. Both were forcibly immobilized at the bottom of the sea.

Within the Demon Master Palace, now crushed by the overwhelming power of Beiming’s waters, countless loose cultivators were pulverized into blood mist without even a cry of pain.

Upon Zhen Yuanzi’s emergence, Nezha had already whisked Long Ji and the Heavenly Soldiers away, retreating into the Mountain and River Map and hiding beside Yunxiao.

The Jie Sect disciples reacted quickly as well, but their numbers were too great, and the chaos came too suddenly.

Jin Ling Saint Mother used the Four Symbols Tower to save over a hundred; Gui Ling relied on his innate Turtle Shell to rescue more than two hundred; Yunxiao wielded the Chaos Origin Golden Bowl and, with Nezha’s warning, swept away over three hundred.

Yet six out of ten of the Immortals who came perished!

Seeing the situation, they decided to stay out of it, exchanged glances, and left to seek judgment from their teachers.

Maitreya and Dashizhi from the Western Sect had no intention of intervening either—one collected their disciples and the other gathered a batch of Spirit Fruits before turning away.

Kunpeng’s true form and Zhen Yuanzi continued their fight within the Demon Master Palace.

Guang Chengzi, having survived the waves, spotted a burly Daoist—it was Kunpeng’s Good Corpse, Kun Daoist.

Kun Daoist’s cultivation was likely at the Quasi-Saint Early Stage, but he lacked powerful Magical Treasures. Guang Chengzi, though slightly inferior with Daluo Peak-level cultivation, wielded the Sky Flipping Seal for offense and the recently refined Twelve-Grade Karma Fire Red Lotus for defense.

The two battled fiercely in the depths of the sea, neither able to overpower the other for the time being.

Meanwhile, Ci Hang Immortal desperately fled while shielding her junior disciples, until a bird’s cry echoed across the sky. Golden Light shimmered, and a Peng Bird appeared, blocking their path—it was Kunpeng’s Evil Corpse, Peng Daoist, whose cultivation was also at the Quasi-Saint Early Stage.

"Hand over the Chaos Bell!"

Peng Daoist promptly transformed into Golden Light, darting back and forth as he attacked them.

Ci Hang Immortal’s face grew serious. She summoned the Suet Jade Flask and began pouring its contents out. Soon, a great river surrounded the area, but Peng Daoist’s movements were barely hindered, and his attacks remained swift.

Already weakened, Ci Hang’s Mana depleted rapidly. As her power dwindled to nearly nothing, Chi Jingzi and other disciples hastily infused their Mana into the Central Wujixing Yellow Flag, hoping to hold out until Guang Chengzi returned.

Unfortunately, they were unaware that Guang Chengzi was already entangled by Kun Daoist.

Elsewhere, Nezha remained hidden within the Mountain and River Map alongside Yunxiao. Deep within Beiming’s territory, Kong Xuan, who had been mysteriously quiet, suddenly opened his eyes and said, "I sense the presence of the Roc. Let your sister release me."

"Sister Xuan, how do you plan to deal with the Roc?"

A trace of sorrow flashed in Kong Xuan’s eyes. "Even in death, my Phoenix Clan would never become someone else’s puppet."

Nezha pondered briefly before saying, "Sister Xuan, take me with you. I have a few tricks up my sleeve that might save the Roc."

"Thank you."

Nezha whispered a few words to Yunxiao and continued hiding within the Mountain and River Map as Kong Xuan carried the map and flew in another direction. Before long, they saw torrents of Golden Light fiercely attacking a yellow-hued protective barrier.

Inside the barrier, the Golden Immortals of the Chan Sect appeared pale, their Mana nearly depleted. They had managed to survive this long by resorting to desperate measures, but their exhaustion was clear.

Old Jiang, protected at the center, looked equally anxious. He was nothing more than the Chaos Bell’s carrier. Attempting to use the Bell himself was laughable—he couldn’t even strike a single note.

Without hesitation, Kong Xuan spread his resplendent tail feathers, releasing a dazzling array of Five-Colored Divine Light that swept through the chaotic battlefield.

Peng Daoist reacted swiftly, transforming into a Roc with wings like suspended clouds. With one powerful flap, he tried to escape, but the Chan Sect Immortals were powerless against the Divine Light and were immediately ensnared by it.

Yet Kong Xuan wasn’t concerned with them—his target was the Roc. While his own speed was insufficient to catch up, the Five-Colored Divine Light was faster. Across the Primordial sky, the giant golden Roc fled at a nearly impossible speed, trailed closely by the radiant wake of the Divine Light.

Despite employing various techniques to delay the Five-Colored Divine Light, the Roc’s efforts proved futile. Every Magical Treasure, weapon, or Divine Skill he used was swept into the Light’s space.

Finally, after circling the Primordial skies for the fifth time, the Roc was caught by the Five-Colored Divine Light and sealed within its world.

Far away, Kong Xuan’s expression shifted slightly as the sweeping Five-Colored rainbow that had filled the Primordial sky gradually dissipated.

With another flick of his tail feathers, Kong Xuan released the Chan Sect disciples, and Chi Jingzi, Ci Hang, and others thanked him profusely.

Kong Xuan paid no mind to them and, with a slight nod toward Yun Zhongzi and Master Taiyi, turned and left.

Yun Zhongzi and Master Taiyi exchanged glances—it seemed they had unwittingly owed yet another favor to Nezha.

Later, they escorted Jiang Ziya and the Chaos Bell to West Zhou. Why didn’t they return it to Yuxu Palace?

This treasure belonged to Jiang Ziya, not Yuanshi Tianzun, who disdained such filthy objects. The disciples had risked their lives to protect Jiang Ziya and deliver him back safely, fulfilling their duty.

Back in West Zhou, Jiang Ziya understood the Chaos Bell was a troublesome burden. He considered gifting it to his fellow disciples, but they all declined—it was useless to anyone who couldn’t even touch it.

Moreover, the Chan Sect’s teachings emphasized following the will of heaven and human destiny. Since they were not destined for it, they would not force it.

In the end, Old Jiang could only bitterly guard the Chaos Bell. Thankfully, his fellow disciples stayed with him, refining the Chaos Bell, protecting him, and helping him recover from his injuries, all while awaiting their eldest brother Guang Chengzi.

Elsewhere, Nezha followed Kong Xuan to the Undying Volcano.

Peng Daoist, now tightly sealed by Kong Xuan’s Five-Colored Divine Light, had completely lost his power, leaving only his mouth to speak.

The remaining notable Phoenix Clan members, including Yuan Feng, Da Feng, and Xuan Niao, were all present—excluding Nezha.
