It was delicious.

If Mrs. Zhang wouldn’t leave, Su Yunjin had no intention of leaving either. She was sitting inside with fish to eat and no mosquitoes to bite her; it couldn’t be more pleasant.

Mrs. Zhang, that exception among women, had been hiding outside for so long that by now, she might be covered in bites.

In the bushes, Mrs. Zhang itched unbearably and felt her face and hands covered in mosquito bites upon touching them.

Looking at how Su Yunjin seemed to have no intention of leaving the kitchen,
