“Eldest daughter-in-law, mother has already personally checked, how could there be any falsehood in this matter? There wasn’t anything newly bought in the third couple’s room. If they did buy a cartload of items, wouldn’t mother have seen it when she went to check?”

Mrs. Zhang snorted, “Mother, you didn’t see it, that’s because the third brother’s wife hid it in advance! She’s very shrewd! She bought so many things and must have hidden them beforehand, right?”
