Chapter 236: Chapter 235 Settling Accounts Chapter 236: Chapter 235 Settling Accounts “Settle accounts?”

Gu Ya was a bit baffled.

Out of the blue, his little wife wanted to square accounts with him? And she said he had fooled her–when had he ever tricked her? How could he not know about it?

“Yunjin, where did I deceive you?” Gu Ya wore a look of complete confusion.

Su Yunjin gave a smile that didn’t reach her eyes. It seemed that Gu Ya had completely forgotten about the instance he had tricked her.

“No idea where you fooled me? Maybe I should jog your memory. Let’s see if it comes back to you,” she said.

Gu Ya was even more bewildered; he truly couldn’t remember deceiving his little wife.

“Yunjin, could you have mistaken something? How could I possibly deceive you?” Gu Ya said with a smile.

Su Yunjin also smiled and reminded Gu Ya, “My dear husband, what about the roe deer incident? Are you going to deny tricking me about it?”

“Roe deer? What roe deer?” Gu Ya had long forgotten the lie about him falling from the mountain while hunting roe deer. His little wife brought it up so unexpectedly that, despite her obvious hint, Gu Ya was still slow to catch on.

“…” Su Yunjin’s mouth twitched as she looked at him, thinking it was a shame for Gu Ya not to take up acting.

With his skills perfected by fire, he would make a perfect Oscar-winning actor.

If Su Yunjin wasn’t so sure that Gu Ya had lied to her, she might have believed she had wronged him upon seeing his dumbfounded and innocent expression just now.

Gu Ya indeed wasn’t acting; he really couldn’t recall ever tricking his little wife!

“Yunjin, how could I possibly lie to you? It must be a misunderstanding,” he said.

Su Yunjin scoffed!

“A misunderstanding? Dare you say that you didn’t lie to me about getting injured on the mountain while hunting roe deer?”

Gu Ya’s handsome face stiffened!

With his little wife making it this clear, Gu Ya finally grasped what she was talking about.

Su Yunjin continued, “My husband, please don’t call it a misunderstanding again! Today, Brother Wang told me himself that you accidentally fell from the mountain because you were hunting wolves with him, not chasing after any wild roe deer.”

And he said he didn’t deceive her!

Now she’d like to see what else this man, Gu Ya, had to say.

“Yunjin, I did trick you about the roe deer,” he admitted.

Since the cat was out of the bag, Gu Ya saw no point in hiding it anymore and owned up to it.

“Hunting wolves? My dear husband, you really are something, aren’t you? With a lame leg, you still dare to go wolf hunting? Are you not satisfied until you get eaten by wolves?” Yunjin scolded fiercely, though Gu Ya could tell she was worried about him.

Receiving a scolding from his little wife, Gu Ya wasn’t upset.

Rather, he looked at her with a smile, “Alright, Yunjin, I was wrong this time. Next time, I won’t make you worry again.”

“Next time? If you dare to go wolf hunting on the mountain again, I won’t care for you even if both your legs are broken,” Su Yunjin maintained her ferocious tone.

Gu Ya said, “Yunjin, is there any more fish soup? I’d like another bowl.”

The fish soup that his little wife specially made for him always seemed to taste extraordinarily delicious to Gu Ya.

“No, there isn’t any left for you to eat.” Even though she said so, Su Yunjin went back to the kitchen and brought Gu Ya a full bowl of fish soup.

“Here, take it.”

With a twinkle in his eye, Gu Ya took the bowl from his little wife’s hand, “Yunjin, you really are good to me.”

“…” When had she ever been good to Gu Ya? Wasn’t she only bringing him the fish soup because his broken leg made it inconvenient for him? Good grief!
