The Hero's Forsaken Princess -
Chapter 59: The Rumor
Chapter 59: The Rumor
At Averion Palace
Alaric had safely escorted Crown Prince Cassian and his royal guards to the palace. The crown prince and the other nobles from Kingdom Eldara were welcomed by the Royal Family, headed by the king and queen.
"We are so glad that you grace us with your presence, Crown Prince Cassian." King Solomon greeted the prince with respect, but he kept his authority in front of him.
"It’s also my pleasure to be here, Your Majesty. Our Kingdoms formed the alliance five years ago, yet this is my first time visiting this kingdom," Prince Cassian kept his neutral expression. He didn’t show any enthusiasm at all.
"That’s why we prepared a grand banquet just for you, Prince Cassian. I hope you will enjoy it tonight. We will also introduce our daughters to you. The princesses," Queen Amara chimed in, smiling broadly. She couldn’t wait to see how Prince Cassian would react once he met Princess Alessandra.
If things went well tonight, they would bring up the topic of marriage between Crown Prince Cassian and Princess Alessandra.
Meanwhile, at the mention of the princesses, Prince Cassian roamed his eyes in his surroundings, hoping to meet the woman in Sylvana’s vision.
’Silver-gray hair and emerald eyes... Where are you? Are you one of the princesses?’ Prince Cassian thought. He heard that Kingdom Averion had three princesses.
Then he shifted his gaze back and forth between Queen Amara and King Solomon.
’Hmm. I don’t think she is one of the princesses.’ he assumed.
Queen Amara’s hair was golden brown while King Solomon’s was black. Their eye color was not even emerald.
’Damn it. How will I find her in this large kingdom?’ Thinking about that, Prince Cassian’s mood turned sour. He could only depend on Seer’s foresight to find that woman as soon as possible.
"I look forward to meeting the beautiful princesses of Kingdom Averion," Prince Cassian plainly responded.
"I’m a little bit tired. Can I go to my quarters first? I want to rest," he added, his expression couldn’t hide his boredom.
King Solomon and Queen Amara nodded in response. They understood if the Crown Prince was tired. It was a long journey for him. He needed to rest so that he had the energy to mingle with the other royalties and nobles tonight during the grand banquet.
"Escort the Crown Prince to the Crystal Pavilion," King Solomon commanded the royal servant.
When Crown Prince Cassian left, Princess Aliyah and Princess Alessandra came out of their hiding spots. They’ve been secretly watching Prince Cassian.
"Oh, my goodness. He is so gorgeous. Your future husband looks promising!" Aliyah exclaimed, her eyes practically drooling over him.
She nudged her sister’s shoulder and added teasingly, "I think he is a beast in bed. Prepare yourself, Big Sister! He will dominate you!"
Princess Alessandra’s face turned red at Aliyah’s last remarks. She couldn’t help but smile, her eyes still following Prince Cassian’s retreating back.
"I think this arranged marriage is not a bad idea. I like him already," Princess Alessandra admitted boldly.
"Good luck in making a great impression on the Crown Prince! I’m certain he’ll notice you during the banquet. You’re the most beautiful woman in Kingdom Averion, Sis. You’ll probably make him fall head over heels for you," Aliyah said, continuing to boost her sister’s confidence.
"Thanks, Sis! You are indeed my soul sister," Alessandra said, giggling giddily. She was happy with her praise.
"By the way, where is your husband? I’ve not seen him for a week. Is he still sick?" Alessandra brought up the topic of Gavin.
A cold glint flashed in Aliyah’s eyes at the mention of her cheating husband. She never told anyone about what happened in the Inn a few weeks ago.
"Yes. He is still sick. He can’t attend tonight’s banquet," Aliyah responded nonchalantly.
No one from the Royal Family knew that Princess Aliyah had a wicked side. Gavin had been detained in her secret room for a week now as his punishment.
She did all sorts of punishment for him– emotional, physical, and even sexual, until her anger subsided. Unfortunately, she was still upset so Gavin had to stay in that cold dark room for another week.
’Maybe, it’s time to discard my old toy and look for something new. I just found an interesting toy today.’ Aliyah thought to herself, licking her lips playfully.
’Should I steal my favorite sister’s future husband or Eve’s husband? The Crown Prince or the Kingdom’s Hero... Hmmm. Both men are not bad.’ She grinned slyly.
"Sis, is Eve attending tonight’s banquet?" Alessandra’s voice snapped Aliyah out of her lewd thoughts.
Aliyah narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips in irritation before she responded. "Of course, not! Her presence is not needed here. I requested our mother not to invite Eve. Alaric’s presence is enough."
"Good. I don’t want to see her. It will just ruin my mood. But what if Alaric insists on bringing his wife?" Alessandra asked, crumpling her face.
"I think our Queen Mother has already made an arrangement. Only one invitation was sent for Alaric. Besides, I heard from the Royal Physician that Eve had been sick for a week. We have more reason to forbid her from attending this banquet. She might spread her negative energy here!" Aliyah replied, reassuring her sister.
"That’s true. Our father will not allow anyone to ruin this grand banquet for Crown Prince Cassian. Only selected people are also invited for tonight. Eve doesn’t belong here." Alessandra was confident that Eve couldn’t attend this grand banquet.
"Yes. Furthermore, I’ve heard a rumor from the royal knights who accompanied General Alaric on his journey," Aliyah smiled knowingly.
"What rumor?" Alessandra asked with intrigue.
She leaned closer to Alessandra and whispered, "General Alaric and Princess Thalia are having a secret affair. Several knights saw them kissing and making out in the river."
Alessandra gasped upon hearing that. Then she giggled. "Oh, Poor Eve. I think her husband is going to divorce her soon. Haha. I can’t wait to see her being abandoned by the kingdom’s hero. Haha, I miss bullying her. I hope she returns to Lotus Pavilion very soon."
The two princesses burst out laughing.
"Our poor little maid just got her temporary freedom. Haha but sooner or later, she will return to us with her broken heart. No one will marry her ever again. She will die alone in this palace while serving us."
