Chapter 47: Temptation

One week had gone by since Alaric went on a journey to meet Crown Prince Cassian and his guards at the kingdom’s border.

Princess Thalia tried all means to interact and spend time with him, however, Alaric seemed to be avoiding her.

He didn’t join her in her carriage. Instead, he rode his own horse during the entire journey.

"What should I do to make him stay by my side? Alaric is keeping his distance from me!" Thalia lamented to her personal servant.

"He acts differently as compared to before," she added, pouting her lips.

"Your Highness, maybe General Stormholt is just trying to avoid any scandal. He respects you as the princess of Kingdom Eldara. He might be thinking that he must behave properly in front of you." The servant tried to console her.

"Fuck it! I don’t want him to behave. I want him to take notice of me! What’s wrong with him? Is he trying to be faithful to his ugly wife? I am more beautiful than her. Furthermore, she is dumb, weak, and mute!" Thalia exclaimed in frustration, taking out her anger on Eve by insulting her.

"Of course, Your Highness. She is nothing compared to you." Her servant agreed.

"Then why? Why is Alaric neglecting me?" She stomped her feet while crossing her arms over her chest.

The servant fell silent. She was also wondering why Alaric was avoiding Princess Thalia.

"Your Highness, let’s try something," she said, an idea popped into her mind. She leaned closer to Thalia and whispered.

Thalia’s eyes lit up when she heard her suggestion. She smiled slyly and nodded.

"I’ll do that. We will see whether he can still resist me after this or not." Thalia grinned from ear to ear.

Before long, Princess Thalia ordered the knight to stop the carriage. Alaric noticed that they came to a sudden halt so he approached the carriage.

"Why did you stop?" Alaric asked the knight.

Before the knight could respond, Princess Thalia opened the carriage door and spoke to him.

"Can we stop here for a while? I feel hot. The river is so tempting. I want to go for a swim."

Alaric darted his gaze between Thalia and the river.

"We are not certain if this area is safe. Wild beasts might be roaming around this area since it’s near the mountain and the forest." Alaric was reluctant to grant her request.

"It will not take long. I promise. I will just dip my body into the water. Besides, you are here to protect me." Princess Thalia put on a pleading look.

Alaric could only sigh in defeat. "Alright, Your Highness. Just be quick. I’ll ask the knights to surround the area."

"Thank you, Alaric!" Princess Thalia almost jumped with joy.

She immediately ran in the direction of the river, along with her personal maid.

Meanwhile, Alaric ordered the royal knights to stay alert and keep the surrounding area secure for Princess Thalia.

Alaric was roving around the area when Thalia’s maid called his name with urgency.

"General! General! Please help! Princess Thalia is drowning!"

Alaric’s concern was etched on his face upon hearing that. Without wasting his time, Alaric sprinted toward the river, removing his armor.

Without a second thought, he dove into the water to rescue the drowning princess.

Having accomplished her task, the personal maid immediately turned and left.

Alaric found Princess Thalia’s unconscious body. He immediately pulled her out of the water. When they got out of the water, Alaric was surprised to see her naked.

He placed his robe on the ground before he put her down.

"Princess! Princess!" He tapped her shoulders, trying to wake her up. But Thalia remained unresponsive.

Left with no choice, Alaric had to blow some air into her mouth to revive her.

Kneeling beside her, Alaric tilted her head, and his fingers parted her lips. Inhaling he held his breath as his head slowly descended.

Soon, his lips touched Thalia’s lips as he began blowing air into her mouth. But to his surprise, Thalia’s hands suddenly gripped his head tightly, pulling him.

Then he just felt her tongue move, plunging into his open mouth. Alaric was put in a trance for a moment and Thalia grabbed that chance to kiss him forcefully against his will.

She boldly swirled her tongue inside his mouth, seeking out his own tongue. She savagely licked and sucked him.

’Damn. I love the taste of his saliva. So masculine. I’m so aroused. I want him so badly.’ Princess Thalia smiled at that thought.

When he recovered from the shock, Alaric immediately pushed her away. Princess Thalia had just tricked him and he fell into her trap.

Some knights even witnessed the two while they were kissing on the ground. But they just pretended not to see anything as they kept their watch.

They thought the young general had decided to level up his relationship with the princess of Eldara.

"Hmm. Once we return from this journey, General Stormholt will now divorce the third princess and marry Princess Thalia. This will be a double celebration for the two kingdoms." The knight made some remarks, sharing his thoughts with his comrades.

"So true. Besides, they are a perfect match! A mighty general and a beautiful princess... in love with each other. That’s true love. He only married Princess Eve because of the Royal Decree. There are no feelings involved."

Little did they know, Alaric was displeased by Thalia’s action. She had deceived him and stole a kiss from him even though she was aware that he was already married to Princess Eve.

"What the hell are you doing?" Alaric roared at her, wiping his mouth using the back of his palm. He felt violated.

What made him more upset was the thought of Eve.

Thalia was unaffected by his rage. She just felt so happy to be able to kiss him like that.

"There is nothing wrong with what I did. I kiss you because I like you. Don’t worry your wife is not even here. You can do anything to me. I’m willing to be your woman." Thalia shamelessly offered her body to Alaric.

She grabbed his palms, placing them on her bare breasts. She was tempting Alaric.

"Unlike your wife, I have feelings for you, Alaric. Your wife doesn’t love you. Your marriage with her was just arranged by the King and Queen." Thalia spoke again to sway Alaric.

Her words just rubbed salt in his wound. He couldn’t refute her words because it was true.
