Chapter 457: Chapter 457: The Lion Opens Its Mouth Wide Chapter 457: Chapter 457: The Lion Opens Its Mouth Wide “Oh.”

Lin Caisang responded indifferently.

Inside, however, she scoffed. She would have to be a fool to believe Nanny Bai. What urgent matter could make someone forget to use the front door and decide to climb over the wall? They were clearly avoiding her.

“Princess, when I went to the front yard, I happened to run into the guard bringing Miss Caisang. I took the initiative and brought her here.” With Lin Caisang next to the Elder Princess, Nanny Bai respectfully said.

The moment the Elder Princess saw Lin Caisang was coming, she and the Eldest Prince both stood up.

“Greetings to the Elder Princess.”

Lin Caisang did not kneel for a formal greeting, she only bowed slightly.

“There is no need for formalities, Miss Caisang. Thank you for treating my poison, please sit.” The Elder Princess gestured for her to sit, and then turned to Nanny Bai.

“Nanny Bai, serve the tea.”

“Yes, Princess.”

Nanny Bai acknowledged and left.

Soon, the three people sitting in the courtyard were engaged in conversation, the Eldest Prince discussing the current state of his aunt, the Elder Princess.

“Miss Caisang, my aunt has been eating very little lately. Can you think of a solution?” The Eldest Prince concluded a long explanation with a request.

Lin Caisang had been taking the pulse of the Elder Princess and listening to the Eldest Prince. After a while, she withdrew her hand.

“Eating less is normal, Eldest Prince. There is no need to worry.”

“Why?”

The Eldest Prince asked immediately.

How could it be normal to eat so little? The food his aunt consumed in three meals, he thought, was not even enough for one of his. Could this really be considered normal?

“Who wouldn’t lose their appetite from drinking bitter medicine every day?” Lin Caisang explained.

Although she was a doctor, she too disliked taking medicine because it was too bitter. It was so bad, she felt like vomiting even thinking about yesterday’s dinner. So, she understood well the dilemma the Elder Princess was facing.

“Elder Princess, I have some little snacks here. If your mouth feels bitter, you can have one. It will make you feel much better.”

As she spoke, she pulled out two jars of dried cherries from her small bag, placed them on the table, opened one jar and handed it to the Elder Princess, indicating for her to taste it.

“This is…?”

The Elder Princess put one into her mouth and her eyes brightened immediately.

The taste was enjoyable – a little sour but sweet too. Indeed, it eased her discomfort.

“These are dried cherries I made myself from cherries I picked in the forest. I have added a bit of medicinal herbs to these two jars, which will beneficial to your body. So, you should eat these fruit snacks alone and not share them with others.”

While putting the lid back on the jar, Lin Caisang explained.

“Good.”

The Elder Princess naturally nodded her head.

“Miss Caisang, if my aunt eats these fruit snacks, does she still need to drink medicine?” The Eldest Prince asked her.

Hearing this, Lin Caisang chuckled.

“Eldest Prince, this is not a miraculous cure. The medicine still needs to be taken. But from today onwards, I will prescribe a new formula to lessen its bitter taste.”

She said.

“That’s wonderful, that’s wonderful.”

The Eldest Prince nodded happily, as long as his aunt was going to be alright, he would have peace of mind.

“Miss Caisang, thank you so much for taking care of my aunt’s health.”

“It’s nothing. It’s what I’m here to do.”

Lin Caisang chuckled and shook her head.

Yet, hearing the words of the Eldest Prince reminded her of Brother Molian’s earlier words. The Eldest Prince had a shop in Jianan City called the “Hundred Fragrances Shop”. She wondered should she consider ‘making a big ask’ and purchase the shop?
