"Why me?" Omadi asked, but Zephyr shook his head and sad "We can talk about that later but we need to head back to my place now, I only came now to assure you that you are safe with us"

Omadi stayed silent before nodding, Zephyr smiled at that as he made a gesture causing two soldiers to walk forward holding a bag which Zephyr handed over to Omadi and said "Feed and drink up, we can’t have you collapsed before we reach back to the mountain"

The moonlight on the sky showed, clearly Omadi expression of joy and relaxed face once he opened the bag to see meat, fruits and water inside of it, no longer keeping a strong front the old man bowed to Zephyr as his eyes teared up "Thank you, your highness"

Zephyr nodded as he stepped away to talk with the scouts, "How are you guys doing?"

Tobi spoke cheerfully, "Feeling great your highness, what went down tonight really got my blood pumping"

Zephyr smiled at that "It’s good to see that you all are coping well, but i have a request to make of you guys. You can disagree if you want to"

Nala spoke up this time "What is it your highness?"

Zephyr looked over to the humans who were tearing down at the food they just got, "I need people who can keep an eye on them after we get them back to the kingdom. You guys have proven how good of a scout you are, and i would not want anyone else for this job except for you guys"

Zephyr said as he let them think "you don’t have have to answer me now but i would like an answer before we reach the mountains"

Omadi and his people soon finished eating, the effect can be seen immediately as they looked more energized, smile on their face. Zephyr can even proudly say that the humans at the moment of finishing their meal got more relaxed around them.

"Let’s go" Zephyr said as the scouts and soldiers walked towards the human with each apeling member picking up a human to carry themselves, Zephyr at the same time blessed them with wind and soon they all left.

The sun was already coming up by the time Zephyr and others got back to the mountain, the humans by this time already fell back asleep on the shoulders of the apeling carrying them, down at the mountain Zephyr saw a familiar figure already waiting for them.

Ikem for some reason felt his inner child being tickled so he spoke to his son, "Lets see who gets to the mountaintop first" Ikem said as he jumped to a roof grabbing one of the ziplines as he began to swing away fast up the mountain.

"Not fair" Zephyr screamed out as he did the same thing, the two soldiers holding the mutant looked at each other through their helmet amused, shaking their head the two apeling soldiers made their way up the normal way through the mountain.

With how much fun Zephyr and Ikem was having, they soon reached the mountaintop. Ikem got there first as he sat at the step of his palace looking off into the distance, soon Zephyr made his way up and joined his father where he sat.

"How am I to go about questioning the human father?" Zephyr asked Ikem.

"We do not ask son, we should let them give away the answer on their own. Just focus on making them feel good, welcomed and honored for having the leader of the apelings to entertain them, act like the information is no longer useful to you but rather you find their company more interesting" Ikem said as Ruffled Zephyr hair.

Meanwhile Eriri and the soldiers have dropped off the humans, who were now awake in their new home, before heading back to the kingdom with the soldiers Eriri did well to inform the humans of their new accommodation and how to ask for help when it is needed.

Now it was just Omadi and his people gathered around him, their postures similar as to when they are having a meeting with Omadi at the center, "Its real, we really got saved by the fur men yesterday"

One of the young men spoke, "I thought it was all a good dream when i woke up but then seeing one up close and giving us instructions about our new home confirmed it for me"

Omadi nodded with a smile on his face, One the the oldest looking young one there spoke up with a restrained voice "What could they possibly want from us, everyone knows the furred ones never interact or do anything with us humans so why save us now"

The room fell silence after the young man words but Omadi spoke up, "I am guessing that Osita action might have in some one become a disturbance to them, leaving them no choice but to do somethings, and as for why save us, I can safely say that they want us to share the information we have on Osita with them"

As the group pondered Omadi’s words, they couldn’t shake off the mix of emotions swirling within them—gratitude for being saved mixed with uncertainty about what lay ahead. Omadi’s speculation seems logical, given the sudden change in the fur men’s behavior.

One of the women, her voice soft but determined, spoke up, "So, what do we do now? Do we just sit here and wait for them to come and interrogate us?"

Omadi considered her question for a moment before responding, "No, I don’t think waiting passively is the best approach. We need to be proactive. We should start by organizing our thoughts, compiling what information we have that might be of interest to them."

The others nodded in agreement, but the only kid there then spoke up "Why aren’t there more of the monkey looking men around, i thought they said they will take us back to their place or kingdom"

"What is a kingdom anyway?" The child said, causing everyone to once again turn quiet.

"They hid us away from their people or maybe they don’t want to expose their home to us" Omadi said rubbing his chin at the same time he put a hand on the boy’s head as he rubbed it gently. "Son refers to them as the furred men from now on until they tell us what they should be called" Omadi said in a cautious warning tone.

"Anyway, let us see what our new home has to offer us,"Omadi said as he stood, which shows that their short meeting had ended.

The next day, Zephyr made a visit to the humans who thought he was there to question them but instead it was only Zephyr asking how the new place has been for them and if they would like anything else added to their accommodation.

This continued for a whole week, the humans by now looked a lot different, cleaner and more nourished than they have ever been. Today Zephyr paid them a visit again but this time before he could say anything, Omadi spoke out "Can we talk your highness"
