Chapter 379- Cian’s True Goal
Chapter 379: Chapter 379- Cian’s True Goal
"That thing’s aura alone is as strong as an attack from a Heaven Expanse Spiritual Realm cultivator. Haha, I wonder if I can take it from this Domain."
Sol whipped the blood from his lip as he looked at the undead army charging towards him. A faint smile was on his lips, and he looked completely relaxed.
However, his heart was pounding with excitement on the inside and his body was tensed like an arrow being drawn back.
Lifting his head towards the sky Sol released a hearty laugh as stomped on the ground and charged towards the undead army.
The six Sky Expanse Realm undead creatures were the first to meet him. None of them were beasts, all of them were humanoid.
Unlike the previous ones that only had simple intelligence and attacks, these were smarter. Working together they attacked Sol with their broken sword and sabers.
Despite this, Sol was undeterred, and he fought against them six against one.
Loud explosions immediately rang out as their figures flashed across the battlefield. Sol was blazing with golden radiance while the six undead skeletons were glowing with a sinister dark light.
Large craters appeared as Sol used his Heavenly Domain Fist.
Despite fighting against six of these undead skeletons, he didn’t seem to be at a disadvantage. In fact, he was forcing them back.
This was quite shocking as Sol wasn’t using his bloodline energy, yet he was fighting on equal footing with six Sky Expanse Spiritual Realm cultivators, with one being in the mid-stages.
Given these creatures weren’t alive and were merely bones, their bodies were slightly weaker than human Sky Expanse cultivators. Nevertheless, their attacks were absolutely terrifying.
Sol was only able to match up to them and even exceed their strength to force them back because of his physical strength, and omnipresent ability.
During his previous battle, he had gained enlightenment. He was able to fuse his omnipresent ability with his Heavenly Domain.
Within a ten-meter radius around him, nothing could escape his vision. The attacks of these undead skeletons were easily dodged by him before he made his counterattack.
One by one these undead skeletons were destroyed under Sol’s relentless attacks.
The sacred torch’s black flames would sway each time to revive them along with the lower-level skeletons that were destroyed as casualty.
Even though they seemed like they were nothing more than paper in front of Sol, in actuality they were being used to wearing him down, little by little.
And though Sol had the upper hand, he still could not escape injury. He might be able to see every attack as they come into a ten-meter radius of him, but if the timing was right, an attack would be able to reach him before he could react.
With this Sol’s body started to accumulate wounds. However, blood would only splash slightly before his Innate Dharma healed the wounds.
This was another factor as to why Sol was able to fight on par with these undead skeletons.
His attacks were powerful and decisive, while his defense was nearly impenetrable. And even if it was penetrated, his life force was that of a roach, he was completely unkillable.
The fight between Sol and these six undead skeletons had only started for less than fifteen minutes and already thousands of blows had been exchanged.
The terrain was completely warped from their battle, and Sol didn’t know how many times he had destroyed one of these skeletons.
However, he wasn’t complaining, he was only getting more and more excited as time went on.
Wasn’t this situation just perfect? No matter how much he attacked and destroyed these undead creatures, that torch would just revive them right after.
If this wasn’t Cian trying to help him train, then he didn’t know what else to think!
Swoosh!
A rare time occurred when one of these undead skeletons managed to coordinate their attacks and penetrate his defense.
This undead creature was the one that had the mid-stage Sky Expanse cultivation base. It was slightly taller than Sol and wielded a long sword that had cracks on its body.
However, the sword was terrifying as it made a ’pitua’ sound when this undead skeleton stabbed out at Sol’s back.
Sol slid horizontally, dodging to the left, but he wasn’t fast enough, and the sword stabbed through his left shoulder.
These things were definitely more intelligent. This attack was aiming straight for Sol’s heart.
However, Sol didn’t even flinch despite the fact the sword had come mere inches away from penetrating his heart.
His foot was already lashing out backward and with a bang, the chest of the undead skeleton burst apart.
The sword was pulled out of Sol as its body was sent stumbling back. However, Sol spun around as fast as lightning and sent out a punch.
A huge golden fist projection appeared in the world and slammed into this undead skeleton.
It was his Heavenly Domain, and it completely destroyed the undead skeleton.
Sol was holding back on the number of times he hit these things with his Heavenly Domain Fist, as he didn’t want to completely destroy them. He wanted that sacred torch to continue reviving them so he could battle like this some more.
However, he didn’t mind using his Heavenly Domain Fist on this undead skeleton since out of the six it was the most annoying one to deal with.
After destroying the undead skeleton, Sol spun around to confront the five that were charging at him.
However, just as he made a move to step forward and use his Heavenly Steps to charge at them, Cian suddenly stepped out of the void behind him.
He appeared just outside Sol’s ten-meter Domain and slashed out with a strange white bone sword that was surrounded by a terrifyingly sharp aura. It was a type of sharpness that would make one hair stand on end.
Sol was slightly shocked by Cian sudden appearance. Despite the intense battle, he had never once taken his attention off of him because he knew that if he joined in, he would be in trouble.
However, the way Cian appeared behind him soundlessly and without warning was something Sol hadn’t expected.
It was almost like he had teleported.
Sol tried to twist his body to dodge Cian sword slash while sending out his Fist Intent in a shockwave to slow him down.
However, Cian was just too fast, and his sword possessed a world-shaking energy that made his sword extremely sharp. It effortlessly cut through Sol’s Heavenly Domain and Fist Intent shockwave before going for his arm.
Swoosh!
Thud!
After the sound of a sword cutting through the air echoed out, a soft thud came next as Sol’s left arm landed on the ground in front of Cian.
Sol used his Heavenly Steps to retreat several meters away. As he came to a stop, blood spurted from the stump where his left hand used to be, however, a green light soon shone over the wound and stopped the bleeding.
After that, Sol glanced around and saw that the five Sky Expanse undead skeletons had stopped attacking and were slowly being swallowed by the ground. The same thing started happening to the others, and soon an army of thousands vanished just like that.
Sol silently watched as this happened, and his heart turned cold. He turned to look at Cian, who was staring at him with that expressionless face.
However, the arm with a black bracelet around its wrist at his feet was suddenly swallowed by the gray soil.
Sol’s eyes narrowed upon seeing that.
Without one of his bracelets sealing his bloodline, Sol’s hair turned a reddish-black color. His pupils, which were black with red hues at the edges, now turned completely pitch black.
A wild and tyrannical black aura then began radiating from his body as Total Eclipse activated.
Sol looked at Cian and coldly said.
"I was wondering what you were planning. So, your true goal and everything you did up until now was to chop off my arm?"
