Chapter 338: Chapter 338- What A Pervert
Some time had passed and currently, Sol was floating at the edge of the pool with only his eyes above the water.
As he floated around, those eyes were closely observed Yoon-Jae who hadn’t moved ever since he sat down.
Sol wanted to approach but after getting scolded by Yoon-Jae he was hesitant.
He could tell Yoon-Jae wasn’t angry with him, but he still felt guilty.
However, after hesitating for so long and having no one to talk to, Sol quickly got bored. Worse, it felt like he had a bundle of energy inside of him but no outlet to release it.
Mar-Dule was an option, but he wasn’t interested in a spar, and it seemed like he was still upset with him from before.
However, after hesitating for so long, Sol sighed and got out of the water. He then walked over to Yoon-Jae, paused for a bit, then sat down and used Yoon-Jae’s back as support as he leaned back.
Yoon-Jae opened his eyes briefly, but soon closed them and went back to meditating.
Sol glanced at his hair that was sprawled on the ground and remembered he should cut it soon. Afterward, his gaze lifted to the sky which was starting to brighten up.
It was already the fourth month into the year, so winter was coming to an end and ushering in spring.
This was the Eternal Desert so the seasons didn’t affect the climate, but perhaps because things were returning to normal, Sol could feel a faint coldness in the surrounding breeze. It was the last remaining cold wind of winter before spring.
Feeling this cold breeze, Sol wondered how different the environment would be after the Eternal Desert healed.
If one considered the entire Continent, both the Eastern and Western regions combined, the Eternal Desert would be in the Northeastern region. Meaning that, as the Eternal Desert healed, by next winter the weather will be biting cold.
However, the Eternal Desert was closer to the Ibbian Mountain Range, so Sol wasn’t unfamiliar with the cold.
As for Jianghu, they were a bit more Eastward. Their balance of the seasons should be perfect compared to the Eternal Desert and the Land of Shadows. Even in winter, the weather would be slightly humid. Though it did get rainy at times.
The Land of Shadows was Southeast, and they lived closer to the sea compared to the two other Races. Because of that, Sol had heard about the windy conditions there. Not only that, but they were also frequented by storms out at Sea as well as attacks from Sea Beasts in the turbulent waters.
For cultivators, it might not be so bad, but the Mortals must suffer a lot. The Land of Shadows was known for having long winters that snowed. That kind of prolonged coldness was a nightmare for Mortals, and many weren’t able to see it to the end.
However, their summers were just as dangerous as their winters. The humidity was stifling and at its peak, Mortals fear even stepping a single foot away from their methods of cooling down. Which were their beaches as well as their small rivers and lakes.
During such a time, even a single layer of clothes would cause them to sweat uncontrollably.
Perhaps the living conditions in the Land of Shadows weren’t as bad as the Eternal Desert, but it was really rough.
Sol soon snapped out of his thoughts.
Seeing that the sun was just about to rise to brighten up the morning, he realized an hour must have gone by since he sat. He didn’t even notice.
"Brother Yoon-Jae, did you know what I was doing?"
Without opening his eyes, Yoon-Jae responded.
"I figured it out when you were about to enter seclusion."
Hearing that, Sol thought back on his battle with Yoon-Jae before he entered seclusion. He turned red with embarrassment. He had thought Yoon-Jae was mad at him because of something else.
"I was mad at first, but I soon got over it."
"Haha, how did you find out? I thought I was being careful."
Sol said with a laugh trying to hide his embarrassment.
Yoon-Jae snorted and said.
"You’re already joking about it?"
Sol scratched his cheek and smiled slightly.
"Sorry, I promise I won’t do something dumb like that again."
Yoon-Jae paused his cultivation and opened his eyes. He then released a long sigh before saying.
"If you did then I won’t stop at just scolding you."
Sol nodded, while Yoon-Jae continued to say.
"As for how I found out, that’s because I have a deep understanding of myself. Master said that even with my twin Innate Dharmas and Ice Spirit Body, I might not have the highest accomplishments while in the Mortal Realm and Spiritual Realm. However, if I ever manage to open my Heavenly Place and enter the Heavenly Realm, then my comprehension of the Worldly Laws will be unmatched. As in that Realm, one must understand their Trueself and the world around them. Like that bastard Mar-Dule where his talents shine in the Spiritual Realm, this is where my talents lie."
Upon hearing this explanation, Sol couldn’t help but think back on what Yoon-Jae saw when his talent was tested in Immortal Dai Shen’s Grand Formation. At that time, Yoon-Jae said he had seen a version of himself.
Sol didn’t understand it at the time, but now he knew. However, he wasn’t sure why Yoon-Jae was telling him this. However, he soon got his answer.
"I know when I’m being manipulated is what I’m trying to say. It took me a while to figure out what you were doing, but I did eventually."
However, Yoon-Jae suddenly gained a serious expression as he lowered his voice and said.
"I also notice something else. Do you know that you’re strange, Sol? You have an aura around you that makes people instinctively gravity towards you, and it affects them in ways they don’t understand. I can’t really explain it, but I know I was drawn to you because of that."
Hearing that, Sol went silent. He wanted to say something, but Yoon-Jae added.
"It’s not strong enough to make someone fall in love with you or something like that, I don’t think it works like that either. Rather than influencing someone’s actions, I think it influences..."
Yoon-Jae’s words trailed off and he scratched his head.
"I honestly don’t know the answer, or maybe I might just be going crazy."
"No, I believe you."
Sol said as he looked down at his bracelets.
The memories of his Mother and Father flashed through his mind and a bout of sadness appeared in his heart. But it was there for only a moment. He suddenly sensed someone approaching which made him quickly sit up.
"What is it?"
Yoon-Jae turned to him when he saw his reaction.
Smiling, Sol said softly.
"It’s Mar-Yue, she’s finally here."
Hearing that, Yoon-Jae looked at the path that led from the desert and through the forest trees to the public baths where they were. He waited for a bit, but after a few breaths worth of time, he frowned.
"Are you sure?"
Sol slowly stood up while he nodded and said.
"Yeah, I’m sure."
Yoon-Jae paused before he suddenly sent his Soul Energy sweeping out.
Mar-Dule glanced at him after feeling it sweep over him, but he quickly went back to floating on the surface of the water while snacking on a drumstick.
For normal Earth Expanse Realm cultivators, their Soul Energy could extend to about three hundred meters. However, Yoon-Jae’s Soul Energy immediately reached a staggering five hundred meters before coming to a stop.
This level of Soul Energy in the Earth Expanse Realm was shocking, but being one of the Rising Stars from a Holy Sect, it shouldn’t be a surprise for Yoon-Jae to have this level of Soul Energy.
After sending his Soul Energy sweeping out five hundred meters, Yoon-Jae frowned even more.
The public baths were at the edge of the Desert Forest, so he was some distance away from sensing the desert outside.
"Sol, I don’t sense anyone, maybe you’re..."
Yoon-Jae started to say, but he suddenly stopped talking and turned to look at Sol with suspicion.
"How do you even know she’s coming?"
Yoon-Jae didn’t sense Sol release his Soul Energy. Unless their gap in cultivation was large, Sol shouldn’t be able to disguise the fluctuations of his Soul Energy from him.
Sol turned to Yoon-Jae and smiled. He then pointed at his nose and said.
"I know her scent. Also, I can detect her aura, and it looks like she broke through to the Spiritual Realm. However, she’s good at hiding her aura so I’m not sure the exact realm she’s in."
Sol sounded excited as he said this, but Yoon-Jae was staring at him in astonishment.
"You-Forget about you smelling her from over five hundred meters away, I don’t believe that. But just how strong are you exactly to be able to sense her aura from this distance? Did you perhaps break through into the Sky Expanse Realm or even the Heaven Expanse Realm?"
Sol laughed and shook his head.
"No, of course not. I’ve only opened around ten percent of my Spiritual Palace so I’m barely out of the Initial Stages of the Earth Expanse Realm."
Yoo-Jae’s eyes narrowed at that, not quite believing Sol.
Sol smiled bitterly when he saw this.
"I’m really not lying to you Yoon-Jae. It’s just that I have an ability that can allow me to project my senses from a distance."
"A distance more than five hundred meters away?"
Sol nodded, but then suddenly turned to look in a particular direction.
"Ah, she just entered the Forest, I’ll go meet her."
When Yoon-Jae heard that his pupils constricted.
The edge of the Desert Forest was close to a thousand meters away from where they were, but Sol was able to sense someone from that distance?
’No, he sensed her long before she entered the Desert Forest, meaning his senses extend far beyond that range.’
Yoon-Jae couldn’t help but suck in a cold breath of air when he thought about that. He was now half convinced Sol was at the very least in the Sky Expanse Realm.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Yoon-Jae hurriedly stopped Sol before he could take a step.
"Idiot, wait, wear some clothes first. Are you planning on meeting her naked?"
Sol’s eyebrows suddenly lifting to the sky as he turned to flash Yoon-Jae a mischievous smile. Then without a word, he took his step and vanished.
Even though Yoon-Jae was staring directly at Sol while having his Soul Energy spread out, he could barely detect his movements.
But Yoon-Jae ignored that and cursed under his breath.
"That idiot, I knew he was just like Uncle Master. What a pervert."
Yoon-Jae took a glance over at the oblivious Mar-Dule before shaking his head and going back to his cultivation.
